Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this product! I’ve been watching naturalistas’ videos on it to see if I should try it. For folks worried about the ingredients, I researched all of the ingredients listed on the packaging. I am not a chemist, but here is what I learned: 1. There are no formaldehyde or formaldehyde releasing agents in the product (as far as I could tell). 2. The first ingredient listed on any beauty product is what the majority of the product is, and the first ingredient is water. 3. It’s mostly made of silicone. That’s what makes your hair smooth when you use it. Silicone also blocks water/moisture, which is why it’s in the product. 4. The other chemical ingredients in the product are preservatives that are not known carcinogens or harmful to the reproductive system. All of this being said, folks have to do their own due diligence and decide if they want to use it or not, and recognize that it may not perform well on everyone’s hair.
The product is heat activated. So to get those edges and that kitchen right you really have to make sure that you concentrate the product there. Most folks spray a section but don't really pay much attention to the roots or eges when combing through. As far as the heat activation...y'all know it's hard to the get the edges and nape with a flat iron, so you'll need to hit it with a hot comb or really small flat iron. I suggest the hot comb, just remember the back of the comb does the bulk of the work not the teeth. The teeth separate the strands while the back of the comb does the straightening and smoothing.
I tried it out. I’m having the same experience. My roots in the front and back are a little puffy, but haven’t reverted back completely. I walked out in drizzling rain, and my hair is still straight. I did put grease in my hair as well. I’m like you, I like to see my length. This product helps with that. It’s nice to switch it up In the summer when I wear only twist outs.
Yay! You’re so right. I get a little bored of twistouts and I’m a little scared to bleach and do other things so, this is enough excitement for me and it actually works! 😃
Love your personality. I live in FL as well and I found the front of head and around neck curled back up in humidity however it does work great and looks shiny if I stay in doors.
I used this product back in March and I loved it. I tend to sweat on my scalp, so my hair reverts at the roots but it did take about three to four days for it to happen. Normally, when I straighten my hair, it reverts as soon as I take a shower. This product had my hair so straight and soft. I will probably do it again this fall. I tend to enjoy my hair blown out and then I would wear a twist out for a few days. Thanks for the update video!
ThaNks for your honest review! I purchased it and tried it for the first time last night and game changer! I have 4B -4c type hair and I sweat something crazy at night and my hair has been good! Theres give and take with everything on this planet, can’t please everybody!
Your hair looks beautiful…. Once you use the product it last for 3 washes after. Be sure not to reapply until after 3 washes ( read instructions carefully) ❤️
Your hair is pretty. I had a similar experience with the front perimeter. I was thinking maybe I didn’t spray enough in that area. I will eventually try again. Normally though my hair would totally be poofy. I like it. Didn’t even trip on any chemicals, didn’t really care. I usually try to do everything natural but I wanted some straight hair. Totally agree with you. Thanks for the review 😊
Thanks for the update. I haven't used it yet. However im not one who listen to other folks bad reviews lol. Im still gone try it for myself and see how I like it.
Your hair looks amazing! I think the main concern with the product is the ingredients because depending what is in it, it can cause cancer and other issues (that's with anything). I think many people try to do their best in reading ingredients and making sure they aren't putting anything harmful on or in their bodies, but the truth is that we are going to be exposed to some harmful chemicals even when we do our best to avoid them. I think everyone has to make the best choice for themselves and their families. Looking forward to your next video. Thanks for sharing.
I'm going to Greece and didn't want to wear braids. thank you for a review I can trust. Very much appreciated. I will use this for my trip and other special occasions.
I'm also going to Greece this summer, and was looking for a way to keep my 3c/4a in straight format for 2 weeks. Your video is the first one I saw, and going to try...AT LEAST ONCE! Lol Your hair is beautiful, and so are You!❤
Yes your hair and YOU are simply gorgeous. Thank you for this review. I’m going to Cancun next week (first week of August) and I know the humidity is gonna be off the hook and I just cut my hair into a short graduated bob and want to maintain my sleek look. If it can keep your beautiful curls sleek in FL heat and humidity then I *know* it will kee my naturally 2b/2c hair smooth too. Blessings from CA❤
you can use 30 volume developer with redken chromatic hair color. I stopped getting hair color from reguler stores. I just get Redken hair color (they have permanent and demi permanent options). I would stick with 2-3 shades lighter...so if your level 2 black..level 5 chocolate brown will work just fine. You need a higher developer though - 20 volume takes you up 2 levels, 30 volume takes you up 3 levels..if your Not using Bleach..you can do 30 vol + color on virgin hair or if your color remover worked good. You need 2 to 3 containers of color for your hair. But of you have previous color in your hair you need a color remover first (or do it several times to avoid bleach). Other option is bleach bath (bleach + conditioner + 20 vol developer) - let it sit 30 minutes and wash out...do a color at or darker than the lift look...a reddish color means you need to stay in level 5 or lower, orange color means you can do level 6, possibly 7 if its lighter orange. The quality of the bleach matters - blondme is my favorite. Always add protein powder + bonding agent (oleplex) to protect your bleached hair. Avoid bleaching more than 1 time if you want to keep your curls. Use foils + a cap to help lighten hair faster. Always use semi permanent pr demi permanent color after bleaching..and 10 vol. developer - be gentle with hair and make it easy to change colors in a few months on your hair. Permanent color is harder to remove, usually must bleach it out or grow it out or color darker. The other kind semi permanent and demi permanent will fade out of your hair after few months and it's less damaging. Only apply permanent color if you dont plan to change colors very often..1x a year.
Thank you for this , I also have 4a/4b textured hair too , and I also lived here in humid FL , so you made me feel even better about purchasing this product… the only thing is that I have slightly colored hair😅
When you took your hair down I was like yasssss Hunni!!! Long hair don’t care! You betta werk sis! You’re the reason I purchased this and it will arrive today so this follow up review was just in time! Thank you so much luv!😊
Awww thank you! I hope it works well for you. I used a little bit more this time when I washed and blow dried and I flat ironed afterwards. It’s still looking gorgeous after 5 days.
I USE THIS AND LOVE IT! ✳️Color Wow says that their products meet international industry standards for ingredient safety and do not contain formaldehyde. However, some of their products do contain DMDM Hydantoin, which is a formaldehyde releaser. According to Color Wow's Vice President of R&D, the amount of formaldehyde released from DMDM Hydantoin is similar to the amount found in a medium-sized apple or pear.
Well - God willing this is the weekend. Got a little birthday money and remembered your video. I really hope this works. 🤞🏾 My last care is curl reversal, I just want the ease of care.
Your hair looked great while straight but iat reverted back beautifully! This made me want to go back to dying my hair again. I hate all this salt and lpepper but im trying not to. Good to see you again!
Thank you for sharing and I will be using this product. I do have natural hair but I want to have straight natural hair but I couldn’t do it because I didn’t know about any product like this one.
In my experience opinion doing hairs, this product not has formaldehyde. Formaldehyde, irritated the eyes, nose & also can irritate the skin. It's most used in Brazilian Keratin treatment, because keep the hair straight. I watched your hair when you watched it, and seems your curls didn't revert. Formaldehyde won't let all your curls get back to it's usual form. This product has glycerine that should keep the water coming in and freeze. Cause the product has another artificial ingredients but most of the products for help with the freeze contain a little bit too, if they want a good result. By the way you look fab. Love your make up.

I loved your review on the product I'm deffiently gonna try it out now. I only have one question when you ised the product did you drench your hair in it like I've been seeing other people do or just kinda dampen it and brush it through out?
I only dampened my hair with it. I was actually afraid of what it would do to my hair the first time around but, I soon discovered that a little goes a long way. 💚

You are gorgeous and I can tell you are such an honest woman! Just found you and love love love ❤️I love this product I’m a white girly with really really frizzy curly hair and enjoy it! Do you spray it on as your straightening it and did you use a flat iron or? ❤️🙏🦋
I sprayed it on while my hair was still damp from the shower and then I blow dried. I noticed that my hair wasn't as straight as I'd like it so I flat ironed/used a hot curler for some areas too. I guess applying more heat really activated the product because my hair was bone straight for at least 2 weeks. I only had frizzy hair along the perimeter where I had been sweating.

The heat on our natural hair will always cause it to SWELL! That's the best way I can't put it. I'm natural and I can't catch a break in this heat. I don't wear it out at all. No win if you do. Lol😄

No, the “curly hair” one is the extra strength version meant for afro textured hair. It works better for us. Had you used that one maybe it wouldn’t have reverted? Would love to see an update with the extra strength.
Hey there! Thanks for this video! Do you have a suggestion of what to put on edges to keep them sleek? Do you know of good products that don't contain water? Thanks!
Hello, 🙋🏾♀️ I actually try not to use edge controls too much because they really do a number on your edges but, if I want to slick my edges for a few hours, I use the Creme of Nature with Argan Oil brand. I’m sorry I haven’t done any research on products that don’t contain water. 💕
I wonder if it depends on how often you use the product. If you use the product on a weekly basis, then maybe you will have issues. But if you are using the product 3 or 4 times a year, then you probably won't see the issues.
When I initially applied the product, I didn't use any oils. I did spray my hair with oil sheen days later and I applied a small amount of oil to my scalp as well.
I blowed it out and then flat ironed it. Just blowing it out didn’t straighten it as much as I liked. When I flat ironed it, it was BONE straight. It lasted for weeks until I washed again.
I don’t think I’m experiencing any more shedding than usual. I am definitely watching for that. I haven’t reapplied the product for at least 3 washes now so the effects are wearing off. I’ll come back and let everyone know if I experience something bad with the product. ❤️
They definitely did after that trip to Disney but the middle of my head stayed straight. I still think it did better than my natural hair on it's own....I would've had a full afro in less than an hour, lol Thanks for watching and commenting.❤
