      @@ClutchupJB they ran sub-40 because they had 4 blazing fast individuals, not because they had good handoffs. It's difficult to get out harder when your coach teaches you a technique that slows you down.

      @@aaronfleming9426 FAST athletes aren't DEVELOPED => they're born ! Coaches can help them mature within a small window to be even better => but this COACH SUCKED at the coaching part => but it seems he's really good at recruiting and then getting out of the way of the TALENT ! A lot of Coaches can't even do that.

    Excellent finish. This is the first time I've seen a sprinter run completely through the finish line. We're taught that early on in track, but I've seen top level sprinters fade, ever so slightly, right at the finish.

      Because the human body can perform maximum exertion for 8 seconds tops. Every sprinter is fading the last few steps. 100% of the time.

      38 and 39 is like a mile apart in short sprints. Better passes would have gotten them 39.9 or 39.8 high.

      @@thehighground3212 Yea minimum half a second. First and second hand off looked like they were too scared to mess up and didn't accelerate until the baton was in their hand.
      Last hand off was acceptable for the skill level and stakes (assuming this time of year is states).

      @@beaushow8067 Agree. The last handoff, when you're the anchor looking back at a lead like that, you just want a secure pass. You know the race is in the bag if the baton doesn't hit the ground.

    The crazy thing is that they had bad hand offs and still ran under 40 seconds. Almost every leg run up on the next leg. If they get better extensions on their hand offs, they will really improve their overall time.

    I timed the video it’s definitely 39 something! That’s a collegiate time they put up and probably one of the fastest if not the fastest high school time the world this year! They definitely deserve the hype on there names and school. Someone must have randomly past them this video.

      Fort Bend Marshall HS in the greater Houston area. They absolutely showed out at state. We've become used to this program running this well very consistently over the last 10-12 years. By far the best Boys HS T&F Program in TX. Taking nothing away from DeSoto, Strake Jesuit, The Woodlands, Dallas Carter, Duncanville, McKinney North, et al.

      Stop it! The handoffs were not terrible. They may not have been perfect, but they were still pretty good. The timing of the outgoing runner was pretty much perfect on each handoff. At least they didn't look like the USA Olympic or World Championship team handoffs we've been watching for the past 10+ years.
