I've been playing ukulele for 15 years, and somehow never seen this technique. I haven't seen your other videos, but if they're as good as this one, I'll be watching them all. Thank you very much. Here in Ireland we use a four string banjo, so I use my ukulele to play trad songs, I'm very interested in playing some bluegrass.
Subscribed after watching this great lesson, then tried to find the second lesson. I used the search function on your channel and found number 3 but there is no video that has a title indicating it even might be the second. Can you please tell me the title so I can watch it?
Here’s a playlist with the whole series in order (number two is what the heck is a bum ditty) Wonderful World of Clawhammer ua-cam.com/play/PL6HQOL_PTQlkoTkzsvcDUsOry9j8CuDIq.html
@@Banjoleletinman Thanks, I found it. The word clawhammer appears too far on the end of the title for me to see it in the search results! Love the channel. High G!
Hi, I'm just curious why you play clawhammer on a soprano uke instead of a banjolele. I was thinking of buying the latter and would love to hear your thoughts.
I have a banjolele as well but this soprano is my go to instrument for just about any style. It simply feels like home to me. If you’re primarily doing Clawhammer thé banjolele will sound amazing but they have a very specific sound that won’t suit other styles as well.
Thanks for your videos, Chris! Clawhammer ukulele is really underrated in fact that it's not that hard once you understand it - but that's true for so many things. I have an unusual question for you though: Where did you get your profile picture? Did you have it made, or how can you think of it? It really appealed to me, I would like to have something like that. Greetings from Germany, Moritz
Great intro to c'hammer. It's tricky so your tutorial really does make it work!
So glad this helped :)

This video is bookmarked and will be used often. Merci beaucoup.
This will be next thing I will practice after ending your George Formby's techniques course! Thank you! 😊
Very informative, I liked how you suggested working a scale to build picking finger dexterity and the easy melody to follow
so beautiful! ty
Thanks

Jake Smithies of Dead Man's Uke/Bad Mouse Orchestra designed the logo for me :) I'm sure he'd be happy to make something similar for you!
@@Banjoleletinman Oh, the Jake you did the checking in with? Thats cool, thanks!
