In this video I'm breaking down my perspective on how to boardslide, on transition! I love skating transition, and I love boardslides just a much. I recently setup a new board and put some rails on it, that's what got me so excited to make this video on how to boardslide on transition.

kid in the back took some slams and kept skating, that’s the spirit
YES!! I kept watching him while editing this. I was thinking the same thing, he’s embracing the spirit of learning how to skate.
Ye I saw the kid in the back all the time dying every 5 sec😂🤣
Kid at 0:51 looks around hoping nobody saw that slam
😆

Banger. You can make a balance board with an old deck and a 2 liter bottle filled with whatever.
Good idea, a nice DIY indo board haha
Have never thought about trying to do these but now I wanna get some rails. Cool video as always bro!
Duuude, thats a beautiful boardslide. Looks really cool on transition
I always rock to fakie out of my board slide, i gotta try this rock n roll out now
Great video! I’ve been wanted to add these in! Thanks for the very technical breakdown!
Appreciate it mate! Thanks for the tip on utilizing corners as well.
Thanks I’m really excited to try these!
I love how far up you get the board! Gonna have to give this one a shot soon!
I love doing boardslides, I actually learned them doing a slide to fakie first on a flat wall with metal coping rather than a rock n roll slide because it felt like a natural progression from a rock fakie, you can slowly work up the angle getting used to balancing in the slide and the exit is always the same as a rock fakie (i.e. simple) rock n roll slides came next after I was super comfortable with the slides. I’m now learning rock n roll slides on pool coping which is a bit different because you have to hit it faster with more aggression and commitment to get a good slide. Rails definitely help for all kinds of boardslides. I put up a short video on my channel recently as a kinda progress report and hope to get them down soon and do another video. Loving these videos dude keep on doing them and take care out there 👊🏼
Skootar kid is back. Keep it up bro
Thanks for the support homie
@@ZackDowdy np g🤙🏼
Thanks bro. So I need to focus on the rear wheels sliding as near as possible to the coping, wheightless. Then as soon as I push down on the wheels focus on Elvising out.
thanks

I’m new to this channel but I like how you’re thoughtful and benevolent in how you teach. Makes me think of Chad Carruso. You guys could open a skate school! Keep up

This is just what i wanted to learn
Stoked!! Love when timing works out like that.
I’m so grateful for you and this vids man! Can we get a backside boneless trick tip??
That's a good one, yes!! I'll need to figure out how I break it down, took me forever to learn haha.
Thanks
Such a clean boardslide Zack..! You've given me the confidence to at least give this a try.! The slam factor scares the sh#t out of me..lol
I used to knee-slide when trying boardslides, I don't have that reflex anymore but haha that always helps!

Mike Jesiolowski Cherry Hill Skatepark N.J. 1978💥
You articulate the abstract experience of skateboarding really well. What park is that?
Thanks Brendon, it's Dallas skatepark in San Diego.
0:44 Hey I've got the same speaker!
That fleece jacket is pimp.
Why no frontside? I can barely find any clips of fs boards on transition and wanna learn them myself
Hey Zack, could you do a video on no-complys? specifically, doing no-comply into slides on transition?
Yes! I was thinking about this recently, such a fun trick. I've sorta touched it before but I'll make a video on that soon.
@@ZackDowdy Awesome! cant wait!
supercool
park looks super fun and empty ! haha
Definitely not watching this at 4am💀😯
😬🏁
👊💥🤘
Sick video man blender and grosso had a gnarly boardslide rock and roll
Yes!! I'm about go watch some Blender footage now.
If this was on a flat ground rail you would call it a front side board slide no?
I'm glad you decided to change your original comment :) anyhow... flat-ground this would be a regular backside boardslide.
I am learning at 50. Is this realistic? I am struggling....
YES! You got this.
Squeegee master have you got any new tricks skate E stan
The poor kid took a hard slam
Also like how short and how u got the the point of the video.
He's such a champ! Showed up both days at 7am to skate, loved that. Thanks for the support :)
