Hey there. I just discovered this game and now am watching your videos to decide if i want it. I think i found a mistake you missed. Target acquired says "1 per player", and you definitely had 2 for a while.

Hey Dale great play through as always. I think at 17:04 Rapid Response for the effect to work your ally has to be "defeated" meaning killed by an enemy during an attack. I don't think that Rapid response can be used when the hero takes damage from when they attack the villain/minions. Pretty much RR you have to use your allies as meat shields. I think you could of brought Maria Hill since she got killed by a villain at 11:35. I know leadership you haven't played as much but keep playing. Having fun and learning is the best teacher. I haven't used Justice yet because of my 9 year old son using justice so I think I will use that aspect when soling lol. I made that same mistake when I first played RR and was surfing the facebook MC LCG group and saw a discussion on it. Thanks again for the video and looking forward to more of your videos!
@Mr. A Lee Thanks for watching! Yep, Leadership and Protection are my least played. I'm not sure, but the definition on "defeat" is 'If a character has zero or fewer remaining hit points, or if a side scheme has no threat on it, it is defeated' ... so I think it still would work that way, not matter where the damage comes from. I'm not a member of the MC LCG group (and it doesn't have instant access) ... what was the reasoning for defining "defeated" as only applying from a villain attack?
@@DaletheCasualGamer I think the players in FB are mostly implying "After an attack or thwart attempt using an ally
resolves, there is often consequential damage that
must be dealt to the ally, as indicated beneath the ally’s ATK or THW field. This damage must be dealt directly to the ally." I think people are viewing the dying by the consequential damage is not being defeated by the definition of being "defeated": to overcome in a contest, election, battle, etc.; prevail over; vanquish. I can see both ways in the RR. When you mention the your reference point. MC should update their RR when they have new cards that come out lol.
Also another reference point. alteregosmcpodcasts.com/2020/04/29/odins-vault-002-from-the-front-line/. These guys talk about RR. "Rapid response reads, hero response: “After an ally you control is defeated, discard Rapid Response → put that ally into play from your discard pile and deal 1 damage to it.” Note this means you need to be in hero form to trigger it and therefore if you plan to use the ally to defend first, it’s important you also end your turn in hero form."
Thanks for the info! I'll go with my "casual gamer" interpretation until FFG updates their rules saying otherwise. :)
Dale the Casual Gamer I just looked at the updated version on FF website and defeat is still defined as “If a character has zero or few remaining Hit points.” So, I think your interpretation is correct. But you still must be in hero mode for it to trigger.

Hi, I am a new player and I am trying to learn the game by watching playthroughs. Dale, I love your channel and that you take the time to read every card and effect which makes it so much easier to keep up as a Newbie. I asked myself, if you forget to scheme with Bulldozer at 14:15? Just to be sure: Bulldozer became active villain after "I've been waiting for this!". So after treating Thunderballs action (scheming) -> Bulldozer had to scheme additionally, right?
@Gurkensalat Welcome to the wonderful world of Marvel Champions! In this scenario, only one villain will activate for attacking or scheming, when the "active" villain changes, it just takes the lead from there and will not repeat previous activations. Hope that helps, and happy gaming! :)

@Karthik Setty I hadn't used it before, so made a quick account ... and it's pretty easy to add decks, so look for "dalethecasualgamer".
Just added two Black Widow decks, Leadership and Aggression. Justice was pretty much the pre-constructed deck. ;)

I use ... or have been using Fantasy Flight Games Sleeves, but they have recently been discontinued. Probably going to Dragonshields once my personal stash gets used up.
Oh no! After reading this I just ordered 2 more 500-count boxes to last me for the foreseeable future. Just doing my part to get Jeff Bezos up to that trillion mark.
Hey dale. Super expert. Would have been more of a fair game. The crew is really easy I’m at a point where I just play them on heroic and super expert. Where you beat them on both sides. You can do it.
Thanks for watching ... I'm still just "testing the waters" with Black Widow, and have not played much Leadership or Protection. I'm glad the game came with varying difficulties of "Standard" and "Expert" along with different encounter decks to include, and of course there are the new official Rookie and Heroic versions from the manufacturer and several other fan-made options for the game.
