@@robertotorres9945 Hace muchos años que sigo la carrera de José Carreras y el joven que lo acompaña es su sobrino mayor,hijo de su hermana .es el pianista y director de orquesta que lo ha acompañado muy y sobre todo en sus largas giras de despedida y aún lo acompaña es Giménez Carreras. A éste hombre en una oportunidad que José cantaba Granada ,se mandó unas variaciones para piano hermosísimas.

Lo q no me gusta, a pesar de ser yo fan número uno de él, es como habla, comenta, o expresa sus ideas. Ciertamente Dios da 1 don, no 2.

37 years old, and he already transposes "Nessun dorma" ! The wonderful color of the voice is still a dream but the large vibrato is henceforth installed.
He might be a half step down, because he is singing a full concert. But it could also sound that way because he is singing Piano versus Orchestra which is always higher. I could always perform Nessun Dorma piano in recital, but struggled to sing forte in concert. Cheers
He always transposed the aria in concert. And why wouldn’t he? The part was not for him. Way too heavy. He only did it once in Vienna the same year and it was as stated not for him. Singing the aria is a must for a tenor in recital but if it does not fit your voice then why shouldn’t you transpose it? I know lots of tenors who transposed ”Je crois” from the pearl fishers because it did not suit them. And it was the same note, the B, which was the issue.

Canta medio tono bajo por que en esta época ya tenía problemas en la emisión.
