It is a beautiful bag almost exactly like the box bag I was wanting and a lot cheaper. I love that the company gives to a worthy cause as well without looking at the bottom line. I cant wait for my bag to come in I ordered it in the toffee/brown.

Demellier London has a lifetime free repair. Affer a year I think all you need to pay is the shipping fee. Try emailing their customer service if they can fix the clasp for you eventhough you didn’t buy it from them directly.

I have this bag, along with a Montreal that has the same type of clasp. I haven't even used the Montreal, and the clasp does not close anymore. Only by keeping it in my closet, and occasionally opening it up and closing it. I reached out to them, and they want me to pay for shipping both ways, plus a fee to fix it, because "it's been over a year since I got it". The bag is practically new, but broken.
That’s disappointing. If it’s over a year old, the repair should be free and you only have to pay for shipping… at least that was my experience when the clasp broke. Shipping fee was minimal. You should probably try to reach out again or double check their terms and conditions on the site
@imbaghappy I'm currently still talking to them, I reached out about a week ago, and were still emailing back and forth. They basically told me that my cost would be about $110 to repair a bag that is new. I'm either going to sell it as is, or try to find someone who would do it for much less. One thing I know for sure, and that's no more DeMellier bags for me.

I have a Vancouver bag and I have found the quality very disappointing for the price. The hardware on the buckle and where the strap is has started to flake and show the colour underneath. I am very precious with my bag but feel like I can't use it now because the hardware damages so easily. I have only had my bag eight months too, and I use it only once or twice a week,
That’s unfortunate. What I can suggest you try to do is message them and they may be able to replace your hardware for free. I have gotten a whole new set of hardware when I sent it in for repairs when the clasp broke. If your bag is less than a year old, shipping and repair is free. You just need to present the receipt.
do you have any issue with the strap? because of the strap design, when we want to use it as shoulder bag, it will start to crease. then when I want to use as sling, the strap will have some dent where it was fold as shoulder. hope you get what I mean
Honestly, I only use it as a crossbody so i wouldn’t encounter that specifically. But that would probably happen due to the thick leather. Even in its current state, there are unavoidable creases as it’s part of the normal wear on leather. I don’t mind them. Leather does get softer and may crease over time

- leather is thick - sa ibabaw lang yung hardware ng strap holder di siya tumatagos sa flap (at least that’s how i remember it kasi for repair siya ngayon kaya it’s not with me) pero i don’t think it gets any wear… di rin naman ako naglalagay ng mabigat na items sa bag I suggest you check it out in person sa rustan’s para mas ma-assess mo if it’s your type

The strap's leather goes softer over time especially with constant use. It has developed wrinkles since it's thick leather. For me, I don't feel it's flimsy. :) But thanks for sharing your thoughts!

It doesn’t rust (as far as my bag is concerned) but it may get scratch marks
