Great reaction guys, but you have not seen nothing yet. "Losin it", " The Hunger", "Illest of our time" just to name a few. followed by a plethora of killer vids
The one in the purple is Vitkus. He is in a few of Ren's videos and also wears the pig mask. He is also a very good rapper, he has a verse in Down with the Beat, and he also has a solo channel
Good call on it being Viktus wearing the pig mask. I just clued into this fact the other day. I heard on "Down on the beat", which I had listened to countless time,es previously, and it suddenly clicked in my head that the voice matched. I appreciate you pointing that out.
Ren self-references a LOT. Sometimes it's song titles, like "Hi Ren", sometimes it's parts of lyrics. He also makes a lot of pop-culture references. You really want your socks blown off, check out Losing It. It will blow you away.
Rens musical influences are super diverse. From Tom Jones to Rage Against the Machine, to Nina Simone and Jimi Hendrix. Eminem, and bunch of British artists as well as punk.
Sick Boi would help you understand his backstory a bit better, in his song about the 90s he talks about his influences, but the best rapflows to me are the hunger and illest of our time, he even did a rap battle - but Ren Style. Danceable would be „losing it“ there is another Trilogy called „Money Game“. And if you want to hear him and his friends sing so fucking good that you can‘t, he did live music videos with the female Singer and his Friend Chinchilla, who set a record for the first female indempendend artist charting with her single „little girl gone“. Together they made not fun lyrical ballad. And Ren busking with his „little Brother“ Sam Tomkins is just crazy
Boys, welcome back to the world of Ren. Somehow, Ren has absorbed every genre and every decade of music you can think of. He is the creator, the producer and the mixer. Since you like this you must listen to " Losing It, an EDM he mixed into a rap.
I used to keep a flat piece of cardboard in my yard just for breakdancing when i was young (if you know, you know lol). Im 47 now. Yall better do that breakdance for us old farts that would prob hurt ourselves if we tried now. 🤣🤞❤️
Amazingly Ren wasn't even born when the beasties were booming he is truly a master of mimicry and a scholar of those that came before. This is how musicians should be pushing musical boundaries and questioning beliefs, not all these milli vanilli, painting by numbers types of corporate crass we've had to endure for 30 + years. Never has been a better time to be an independent artist, with a global audience on tap, talent will always shine out. Ren has risen like a second Sun shining brightly over everything, long may it continue. Fingers crossed he gets well enough to tour I feel his shows would be unlike anything seen before or possibly again. 👏 👏 👏
You guys caught things that I haven't heard by anyone else. Ren loves old school Hip Hop. The 90s are his thing. Easter eggs in every track. He uses so many references that most people can't get unless their familiar with them. He never throws in words just as filler. I wonder how much you'll get with Losing It & Wicked Ways when and if you do those.
Viktus is the taller one with the blonde hair he is also a rapper. He is on one of ren's tracks "down on the beat" he also has a few tracks you should listen too as he is very good. You should react to: the hunger, illest of our time, losing it and Power just to name a few. Loving your reactions boys keep up the good work
BTW, guys, the Welsh ARE British, as are the English and the Scottish. They are the three countries that are physically located on the British Isles, i.e. the island of Great Britain. Where Americans get confused is the 'United Kingdom' thing. This includes Northern Ireland, which is physically not on the 'Great Britain' island, but it is one of the four countries that comprise the United Kingdom. Just think of the United Kingdom as 4 'States', whereas the United States of America has 50 such 'States' that comprise the 'Union'. The UK has 46 less 'States' than what the USA has for its own Union ... that's all.
Just to underline what the person is saying there. England, Scotland and Wales make up Great Britain. The British Isles adds Northern Ireland (UK) and the country that is the Rebublic of Ireland. The Great in Britain, is an evolution of the greek. I believe it just means greater or bigger. All the best.

England alone is smaller than the size of Oregon, but has more regional accents and than all of the U.S. And if you listen to rap, you're in for a world of learning because the slang within the dialects can change or not exist at all. Oh, and then the whole Cockney rhyming thing... 😅
All the vocals in this song are just layers of Ren. (He is an excellent producer and creates most of his own beats and does all of his own audio mixing). The other characters in the video are only adding to the Beastie Boys homage visually, although Viktus is actually a rapper as well.
Viktus, guy in the purple track suit...also guy in the pig mask at the beginning of Hi Ren, has a UA-cam channel. Only a few videos, but y'all should check them out. I'm a fan, and I think he's really just getting wound up, show him some reaction love.
Thank you Colleen, that is exactly what I was trying to say. Although I would simply add the fact that he beatboxes on several of his tracks as well. Ren does it all, including being a self-taught, multi-instrumentalist.
The Tall guy w/ facial tats wearing the purple jacket when they came out of the store is Viktus, who is featured in " Down On The Beat ". "Viktus": has a YT channel of the same name
Having all of Rens ( and The Big Push ) tracks so many many times it is great to see you revisit with such a high degree of knowledge and energy. Really enjoying the music education lessons as well with your reactions. You seriously are only 2% through the Ren Journey of a Lifetime.
So glad you guys saw something light from Ren… he’s so incredibly multi-faceted - you’ve not even scratched the surface yet! Several more ‘rapity-rap’ songs (including beat-boxing).. but he’s also an incredible singer too. Can’t wait for your next Ren reaction!!
This is a fun, catchy track, an homage to the Beastie Boys. Losing It, Illest of our Time, The Hunger and Animal Flow are also great examples of Ren's rap skills. Another great reaction 💜💜
I was a pop lock dancer back in high school in the 70s ( graduated in 77) had a 3 man(boy) crew, Disneyland had high school dance party on Friday nights during the summer, lost my cherry at Dinseyland dance party. If ya could dance in the 70s you had cooch for life
Glad you reacted to this one. We all needed a fun video. Note: you stopped the video before it finished. There is another scene that followed where you stopped it. Check it out. Next Ren?: Power, Crutch, Illest or Animal Flow. Have fun.
Ya’ll should try “The Hunger” it shows the talent in Ren’s rapping and for a heart wrenching song you should listen to “For Joe.” Love y’all’s reactions.
There is so much more to be not only seen or heard, but experienced when it comes to Ren. As a metalhead my entire adult life (aside from The Beatles, of course) Ren's music changed my life with Hi Ren exactly one year ago to the day. Can't wait to see your journey.
As others have said, you haven't seen/heard anything yet, when it comes to Ren rapping. He really is a rap god! Try 'The Hunger', 'Losing It', 'Sick Boi' and Sick Boi part2' (my favourite)! To see/hear him doing it live on the street, check out, "Ren and Sam Tompkins - Improvising Around Stevie Wonder". Your mind will be blown! Not just because he raps, live, like a rap god but because he sings like a (fallen) angel and plays guitar like a demon. However, as rappers, you'll love his rap skills! :) Btw, always play a video to the end. You missed a funny little nugget at the end, on this one. :)
Yes, this came out before "Hi Ren"....and now be honest, the chorus got stuck in your head didn't it? Also, did you notice when he said "...puff and draw, pass it left" he actually "passed it" to the right? Just something I noticed...
I was in a breakdancing club in the 80’s, lol. Would be cool to see what you got in your bag. Check out The Hunger, it has some triple time. Or “Losing It”, which also has some triple time rap. Wicked Ways also…
You are quite correct sir. I tried to point this out when I said that the other two were only included in the video because with the track being an homage to the Beastie Boys, it would have appeared a little odd if the video featured Ren on his own.
As many have already mentioned, the blond guy is Viktus, a rapper and good friend of Ren's, and the smaller guy is Samuel, as in "A Video by Samuel and Ren," think Tale of Jenny and Screech.
Ren pays tribute to so many of his musical influences in his work, and his music ranges from serious topic to making music for the love of music. You have so much music to look forward to. Ren is also master of the seamless flow change (The Hunger is a perfect one for this). You’re just scratching the surface. Loving it!
I would totally love to see you two dance to this :) Also: Thank you so much for pointing out the references and including clips to the originals! That's so much appreciated!
The guy in the purple track suit is Ren’s friend, Viktus, who is also a rapper. Check out “Down on the Beat” by Ren ft. Viktus. He’s also a great rapper
One of my favorite Ren songs. It's one of the 5 or 6 on the newest CD that I repeat the most. Great reaction guys. Also, I'm pretty sure the Welsh ARE British. BUT they aren't English. (If you know what I mean)
Ok gentleman, I am watching your video on my tv while writing this comment on my PC, so that I can react to your comments & questions and not miss any. Yes, obviously this is indeed his homage to The Beastie Boys. As far as the Adidas track suits, Ren is a big fan of the look and can often be found rocking the look. Before I go any further, ignore everyone else, you need to watch "Losing it (Fisher Rap version). While I don't know you, and have only watched a couple of your videos, I promise you, you will absolutely love it. Also, his rhyming in it is epic. As for who the other two in the video are, they are two of his best friends, One is the gentleman who shoots all his "one-shot" videos, of which he has many. Although it looks in the video like they are rapping on the track more than they actually are. The reason they are in the video is to make them look more like the Beastie Boys. It would be strange if it was Ren on his own in the video. Watch "Losing it" and you will be losing it. I would have to check the dates on the videos, but I thought it was before "Hi Ren", but given the line in this track, it would seem that I am mistaken. By the way, you also REALLY need to check out some of his busking videos as a member of "The Big Push". His talent at guitar playing, (self taught by the way), in addition to his singing will blow your minds. I know the hip hop tracks are more your style, but they show you a better look at his range and the unreal amount of talent his has. By the way, yes, he does beat box on quite a few of his tracks. Just another skill in his toolbox of talents my friends. Heres my final thought, watch Losing it (Fisher rap version) I promise that it will be a high addition on your favorite playlist. Enjoyed the video gents, review Losing it and I'll subscribe immediately.
, his vudeogrspher,Samuel Perry-Falvey is not one of these guys! Purple is Virkus andni don't remember the other guys name. I think he might have fallen out of the group
@@francesdoll4039 you are quite correct, I was mistaken. Speaking of which, I believe you meant Viktus, who is the solo rapper who did "Down on the beat" with Ren. The third gentleman I too am at a loss when it comes to his name. What I do know for a fact though, is the three were never a "group". The reason the two are in the video is because the track pays homage to the Beastie Boys, so it would have appeared a little odd if it were only Ren in the video. If you doubt that fact, then find another track by this "group". Unless you are going to tell me that they formed for this one track and then tragically the group broke up. Lmao.
Well Ren is Welsh (born and raised in Wales. Vikus is English born and raised in England. I am not sure who the others in the video are. Also one interesting bit of info: creation dates and release dates are not always in order. He might create a song with or without a video and not release it for weeks or months. While releasing newer ones right away. It seems to be for maybe a reason, or no reason at all. So release dates do not reflect newer or older.
One of them is named Benny who you will see wearing a tricorn hat in the crowd in a lot of The Big Push busking videos. The other is named Jake (but not the same Jake who drove the car in the Murderer video).
Hola chicos - great reaction! Yep this one is on the lighter side... it's lovely to see your enthusiasm... I'm happy with whatever you react to next! Saludos desde Valencia ✌️💚
Your videos are so well edited! Love the sound effect at 10:55 coming into the left headphone. Nice! Ren loves his vintage track suits! You will see lots of them in his videos
Loving these reactions. Looking forward to seeing you check out other gems like Losing It, and The Hunger, and basically anything else off his Sick Boi album.
Great reaction haven’t had someone react and tell you about his roots and base flows. I agree I’d like you to check out the hunger illest of our time and the down on a beat fisker mix. Although I’d still tune in for murder or sick boy
Freaking GREAT reaction boys!! (Were you even born in 1986?) Would love to see you breaking to this! Watching you on this journey with Ren is going to be so epic! The Hunger, Losing It Fisher Rap Version, Love Music 1, 2, 3, 4, Money Game 1, 2, 3, Illest of Our Time, Animal Flow, Murderer. And those just scratch the surface! Love your energy boys, and I love the TWIN SENSE!!😎😎
Loosing it ...hunger ...loco .. down on the beat ... masochist ... genesis... children of the moon love music ...money game ....sooo many more lol😂 get the replay list ready lol
There is a wide range of influence going on with ren. Sure there are obvious nods like Beastie Boys etc but there's a lot of britpop influence (some video angle really remind me of shaman/prodigy). The style of the chorus reminds me a lot of the chorus in guns don't kill people by Goldie Lookin' Chain (a Welsh hip hop/rap group). There's a ton of glc influence
Really like your guys reactions to Ren. If you guys want to see his real rapping skills watch these next three videos. 1.HUNGER 2.THE ILLEST OF OUR TIME 3. LOSING IT
I found you about a week ago because of a Ren reaction you did. I listened to a fire ass track from yall and after that, I commented on it and got a response from you. That got me to hit that subscribe button. Now we are here and the vibes yall put off on this RENaction, got that bell pressed. Now I'm looking forward to your next upload whether it's another Ren video or you foo's rapping the damn phone book. P.S. if we don't get the dance video, I take back everything I just said. LMMFAO
Love your reactions. I like how you give us a glimpse of the songs influencing Ren's music. I don't know many rap artists, so I really appreciate it 🙏 ❤❤

Hell yes they are👍@@arielbussart1305
I don't know who gave them this recommendation, but I agree with you! Plus those tracks are layers better.
Illest of or time is probably the best I’ve ever seen Ren rap I can’t wait to see these guys react to that

I couldn't agree with you more. 👍 🇳🇴
Losing it!
Losing It is the best song about losing things since U2 couldn't find what they were looking for.
@@waxingmiracleTo be fair that's because they lost it in the street with no name.

Lmao.
@@djmoon8373 nah! I read a partial comment regarding conflict between Viktus and this other guy.
Thanks for the correction
Yeah like someone else said, "the hunger" "losing it" and "Illest of our time" are great examples
@@Colleen_OH Sweet! Its great to put a name with a person.
Power by Ren....nuff said
Gotta react to Ren- The Hunger next!!!
Not yet, better get a few others under the belt first.
Hola chicos - great reaction! Yep this one is on the lighter side... it's lovely to see your enthusiasm...
I'm happy with whatever you react to next!
Saludos desde Valencia ✌️💚
He kills a lot of different genres, so I think he's influenced by different artists. He's really versatile and talented.
Your videos are so well edited! Love the sound effect at 10:55 coming into the left headphone. Nice! Ren loves his vintage track suits! You will see lots of them in his videos
Love this song, love Ren, and much love to y'all.
I love how you guys break down the bars and catch so much of what he is rapping! Your reactions are so fun to watch!
I’m pretty certain that Ren is inspired/influenced by music and literature in general. All the references, styles, and such….
Loving these reactions. Looking forward to seeing you check out other gems like Losing It, and The Hunger, and basically anything else off his Sick Boi album.
"The hunger" I feel, is an expedition of skill
Great reaction haven’t had someone react and tell you about his roots and base flows. I agree I’d like you to check out the hunger illest of our time and the down on a beat fisker mix. Although I’d still tune in for murder or sick boy
Can't wait to see where you go next on the Ren rollercoaster!
Yeah I would check it
Yeeeessss, please dance to this!!!
Thank you guys ❤ The rabbit hole is deep 😁
Another fire reaction 🔥 thanks I'm here for all RENactions!!
Yes lads, I wanna see you dancing to this
Wales is in UK. 👍🏼👍🏼 Great reaction! Try - Hunger - please?
Love your energy and knowledge of different types of rapping ❤ I feel you and Ren are going to vibe together very nicely 😊
Loosing it ...hunger ...loco .. down on the beat ... masochist ... genesis... children of the moon love music ...money game ....sooo many more lol😂 get the replay list ready lol
Rens been inspired by the world.❤❤
And he is now returning the favor.
LOSING IT next, please!! Great reaction, ty.
Wow I haven't thought about GLC in a while!
Great stuff. Its like watching 2 guys sitting on top of an iceberg with no idea whats below the surface. U in for a ride
If you want a flow showcase, you have to check out "The Hunger".
You guys are so much fun! You're doing a fantastic job. Keep it up!
You guys are great. Helped me appreciate this track in new ways.
Thanks! More Ren and a vote Yes for break dancing video. ❤
That one "igity-igity-igity" sound/flow was also made popular by the little kid rappers Kris Kross in the early 90's
Das efx is a beast. Bafnefek idk how it’s spelt be a banging song which is super popular. But it’s like that skibbity bap boom stuff.
Power, Genesis or Losing it would be next. And after few more rap tracks, the Hunger.
Really like your guys reactions to Ren. If you guys want to see his real rapping skills watch these next three videos.
1.HUNGER
2.THE ILLEST OF OUR TIME
3. LOSING IT
I found you about a week ago because of a Ren reaction you did. LMMFAO
Ohhh you’ll get the dance video! Just give us some time to practice a little 😂
Y'all are too much fun! Thank you.
Love your reactions. I like how you give us a glimpse of the songs influencing Ren's music. I don't know many rap artists, so I really appreciate it 🙏 ❤❤
