Oof
U a real one for keeping this video up
You said that "It would take a miracle!" You were not wrong. The miracle is that all of the following happened together: Wiggins becoming an all-star, Poole looking like Steph-lite, GP II's talent being discovered, Otto Porter Jr. channeling Wilt Chamberlain, Draymond gaining back his motor, Looney getting Rodman numbers, Klay overcoming two career-ending injuries, and Steph being better than ever!
Well said. Who really saw this coming? Flash back to March 2012. Warriors trade away their star guard Monte Ellis and keep that skinny kid with bad ankles and 14.7 PPG. Who could see any of this coming? Steph gonna Steph.
God: Don’t mind if I get a miracle
“Monta” 🙄
Think you need a pt. 2 for this team after this year
this puts their run this year into perspective. instantly underrated
Now, it's easy to just dunk on someone for a take that aged poorly. I'll instead go for something different. Because all those doubts he mentioned in the video were conceptually valid. Everything *had* to come up Warriors and it did. The Warriors had almost no room for error, barely any room for bad luck on the path to the 2022 playoffs and so they ... simply made no errors and had bad luck only at times where they could afford to. Got the right guys, got fit at the right time, made the right changes to the coaching staff etc. To deny that history was speaking against the Warriors is to deny their efforts and their achievement.
Underrated comment that sounds more like a quote from the man himself then just a fan. Excellent job.
Andrew Wiggins actually been balling out this year though, just had two awful nationally televised game to start the year. He's evolving into a great 3 and D guy who has the ability to create his own shot. He's gonna fit great alongside Klay.
They just need wiseman to develop and klay to come back. They definitely still have a chance to reclaim back their throne. Bench pretty good too especially paschal who is playing like a sixth man of the year candidate.
@@jeffreyatienza635 Add in another potential top 5 player in this year's loaded draft class (if the Minnesota pick isn't in the top 3) and it becomes a very interesting team with a chance to dethrone the lakers in the West
@@hbm3269 yep also Wiggins legit looking like AK47 with a lethal 3 pt jumpshot rn. That’s how good he has been defensively. Dude definitely can still be an all star if he becomes better at creating his own shot. Even if he doesn’t improve anymore his still one of the best 3 and D players in the league rn who is ELITE on defense and shots above 40% from three. Dude is on pace to make an all nba defensive team and is the perfect fit along side klay and steph. I personally would not trade Wiggins even for someone like Beal. His literally the perfect wing to pair along side steph and klay. Also yeah can’t forget about that pick from the wolves which will be pretty high cause wolves pretty much trash rn. Can u imagine if they get someone like haliberton who basically fixes their biggest weakness which is guard defense and playmaking. This upcoming draft is guard heavy as well so yeah would not count them out especially considering their amazing track record and ability to develop talent.
wiggins has a few bad games
but compared to the amount of decent to great games anymore,
i wouldnt call him inconsistent anymore
ubre of kelly tho
@@ayyyayay yep oubre is either impactful or a non factor at all. It’s been 20+ games and he still doesn’t get how to operate off ball offensively (he literally hits steph or blocks steph when Steph is moving off ball (this happens almost every game)). Silver lining to all this is his value is at an all time low rn so warriors have a chance to resign him. He would be a great bench player with his energy and defense (dude just isn’t starter caliber for a team like the warriors who are looking to compete next year with klay coming back).
"They won't be able to find the Shaun Livingston's, and the Iguodala's and the Leandro Barbosa's on the clearance rack"
Warriors 2021: Hold my beer
Get Jordan Poole from the G League
Get Iguodala back from literally the clearance rack
Get Damion Lee from the G League
Also the Spurs did something similar from 1995-96 season to the 1996-97 season
They drafted Jordan Poole not from the g-league
"Oh Clayton baybeeeee"
Said aloud when I saw the thumbnail. Wife looked at me funny, upload more often so I don't get so excited please dude.
Ya but Wiggins and Oubre are 40% of it
I very much hope they can become Contenderers again soon, they are so many Funs to watch!
wow a real life Flula sighting on my favorite NBA youtuber... it's like christmas!
I like the Flula even more now
I think all they need is thompson
Back to make the splashbrothers whole again. And they will rise once again
as a warriors fan I completely agree and think that they will prove the doubters wrong
wow wasssuupp
You probably recorded this prior to, but Steph is at 40% from 3 again.
Steph is a superstar just that simple
@@dwainfrett5385 That's an understatement, he's a legend
There are still 500 though it doesn’t matter if they are not winning
This is a video showing how good of a coach Kerr is. Everyone has fallen into their place after a very bad start.
I’m still so consistently amazed by the level of quality of your videos
His videos are honestly better than the stuff ESPN,Ringer etc. put out.
The Warriors proved all the doubters wrong, myself included. This 2021/22 season was a joy to watch from start to finish and Steph proved in the finals, at age 34, that he is one of the all time greats.
I'm too nervous to even call them dead as a Western Conference team's fan.
Saying it too early might make Curry just carry and destroy us again like in 2015.
U a rockets fan lol
Then he’ll finally win his FMVP
Nah. He doesn't have an amazing team like he did in 2015 and even that year they played an unprecedented number of injured teams in the postseason. It was a very lucky playoff run.
@@thedarkknight9153 i mean golden state had its only superstar injured in 2016 and they reached the finals.
@@meguminstan30 they were better in 2016
No fault of your own, but 3 weeks later some parts of this video haven’t aged great. Warriors are now the #4 defense in the league, and Steph went on a run that put his numbers almost back to his unanimous MVP year. I fully concede that they aren’t going to win a title this year, but I think the team keeps getting better, and it’s not fair to judge them with like 40 million of cap space on the bench
“Aren’t going to win a title this year”
Well, this aged well
I love that even the GoAT of the basketball videos still was wrong about the warriora
Steph Curry's 3 point % has been consistently improving throughout this season and his 3pt % is now 41.4%. So it's above 40% already.
CLAYTON WE NEED AN UPDATE
7:47 Tim Duncan went 7 years in between his championship 2007 and then 2014. It can be done.
kareem won titles 17 years apart in 71 and 88...as a starter
but he was not the best player still by 2014..tony and kawhi were....he was the third option and manu scored a lot too
duncan won titles in 99 07 and 14..hes an anomaly
Well Look how that turned out
Jared Dudley goat video??
This is a very fair analysis of the current Warriors. I'm a Dubs fan so obviously I'm prone to homerism, but can't really argue with anything you say in this! I would just add that Wiggins has grown much more consistent this year and I think he can be a real keeper alongside the Splash Bros., and I've seen enough from Oubre to be cautiously optimistic that he can be too (although the collective bill on those two can _definitely_ hamper the team's ability to build the way they'll need to). Wiseman is so far projecting to be a star in this league, and there are bench players that are really starting to come into their own.
Moreover, whether the dynasty is 100% finished or not, this team is still fun to root for! They play hard for each other and are capable of taking it to any team on any given night, even when they clearly are several steps down talent-wise from the last several years. Having lived through the Cohen years prior to We Believe, that is still something I don't take for granted 💙💛
I came back after Oubre went for a career high, Curry went back to 40% and wigs looks like a all NBA defender
welp
Boy that projection that said, "Steph will shoot below 40% from three-point range this season" did not age well at all.
Steph Curry 3-point percentage: 43.1 percent with 12.1 attempts. Just the GOAT shooter in the history of humankind.
The writing in your videos is always top notch! You rock.
the defense is good, oubre is steady again and steph been shooting like crazy again
You forgot the first dynasty George Mikans Lakers
nah dynastys only count in the shot clock era. George Milkan couldn't even win with the shot clock.
Ouch, this video aged poorly but hey who could’ve seen it coming
I think it's fair to say alot of people if not everybody miss the old 2015 warriors, so smart so talented and fun to watch, and the best parts is that there beatable it will take everything but they're beatable.
Only for them to get KD and then the curse began so sad
GS doesn't win in 2015 if Kyrie and Love aren't hurt, imo. They were a great team but beatable like you said. With KD, they were unbeatable.
@@notme377 agreed they probably would only need kyrie if lebron was so good to force six
@@notme377 shout I wouldn't be surprised if they lost against the spurs or clippers if they played against each other
they were very beatable in 2015 and 2016..thats the funny thing ala the kobe led lakers outside of 2001 and the lebron led heat...with kd it was unfair and you had to play perfect to beat them when healthy in 7...in 2015 the grizz were up 2-1 before conley broke his face...the rockets were missing patrick beverly and domantas two important pieces and dwight howard got hurt...the cavs lost kyrie and love...in 2016 the thunder were up 3-1 on them easily...ands pushed them in games 6 and 7...that was a close series...the cavs beat them and game 4 was close as was 1 until the last few minutes...so it was not some blowout series before green got suspended...but people seem to forget without kd they were not that strong in a playoff series and the kobe shaq lakers went 7 twice in 00 and 02 lost in 98 99 03 and 04 and kobe went 7 in 09 and 10...lebron went 7 3 times in 2012-2013 and lost in 2014 and choked in 2011...teams are beatable...but the 2017 warriors were not...but they could of lost to the spurs a few times and been pushed to 7 games by the cavs..so they were not perfect just hard to beat 3-4 times
2022 Update: The Warriors Dynasty Didn't die.
Their dynasty is over, but they will be seriously competitive when they get Klay back. It's really matter of If they can aquire the same type of role players they lost to get back to that dynasty status.
"Almost unfair" dude...soon as KD went there it was straight up unfair.
its like if kawhi joined the 2013 heat after the finals or the 2012 heat after their title
My man editd this shit like a month ago and last week he thought 'fook it, ain't gonna waste all my work, even if it doesnt make sense'
i remember 2016 game 7 when Green was just balling and scoring like a man, but since that game it seems he just had no mana or what
Would love a series on Dynasties. Awesome as always.
"you don't want to see us next year"

I would love to see you make a video series about the different dynasties in basketball. Similar to how you did your GOAT Series, I think that this would not only help your channel grow more, but would help other people know more about each dynasty and maybe settle debates
he really did... kinda
I mean, as a warriors fan, we might almost want the timberwolves pick to land top 3. Cause then we get the pick unprotected the year after. Then we'd have a shot at Chet Holmgren. But either way, adding a top 5 talent in addition to wiseman in the next two years is gonna do wonders. We've seen that Myers can pick the right guy if given the chance.
Wardell bouta miracle shot his way to the conference finals, just you watch
Interviewer: Wardell, I have a question for you.
Wardell: *raises eyebrows*
As a Warriors fan, I knew this was coming, yet it also feels premature. Wiggins seems to be finding his stride. Oubre is colder than a glacier but maybe he can shoot his way out. And the bench is starting to come together. Growing pains are good to experience early in the season and it shows some fight. We will see, yet I know...Father Time is undefeated.
Looking back as a Cavs fan, they where truly a special team apart from KD joining them it was actually really fun to watch them chucking up 120+ points and get 73 wins.
babe wake up clayton crowley just uploaded a video
Hope GSW can push another run like the Spurs did in 2013 & 2014. Though they failed to run it back with Kawhi, but winning a title in the twilight years of the big three is just amazing and very hard to replicate. Curry, Klay has the history of injury, as well as Draymond. Their window is almost closed, with rise of young teams, Suns, Memphis, Denver, and even Wolves that could challenge them in the west. Their championship run must happened this year or next.
Or Maybe Kuminga could be like Kawhi, a youngstar who could FMVP.
Always love seeing videos from former NBA player Anderson Varejão
Yessssss I was just rewatching some of your vids waiting for the next one. Keep up the good work!!
AYO MY BOY GETTING SPONSORED NOW LET'S GOOOOOO

Mikan's Lakers were the first dynasty.
magic's lakers made 7 finals in 8 years...he just got overwhelmed in 86 in the west finals by two large hall of fame level when healthy centers in akeem and sampson while trying to play with ancient kareem short old maurice lucas and short kurt rambis against them lol...and randomly for a few minutes a night backup peter a huge center with no real experience in the nba...they were not built for that series...and they lost game 5 by 2 points...and if not for the nba's dumb 3 game series back in 81 la may have made 9 finals in 10 years and 11 in 13..
@@razkable And what does that have to do with my statement?
nah that was pre-shot clock era. Mikan couldn't win once it turned into real basketball. Pathetic to even suggest so
@@fernandocarrazzoni Nothing. And you are correct. I was just thinking about that when he started the video. George Mikan was the NBA's first superstar and had the first dynasty.
every thing you said was cleared
1. Steph back to 40% on 3 Pointers
2. Warriors are 9th in Defensive Rating
3. Wiggins = Andre Iguodala
4. They just another wing to contend after klay coming back
Wiggins is NOTHING compared to prime Iguadala.
To me the 2000s Lakers are the closest comp they'd lost a lot of depth and chemistry by the end of the dynasty, Shaq got banged up more often and wasn't quite what he used to be, and that's how a team with two top 5 players at the time failed to win a title in their last two years together. The warriors had given up a lot of depth with Durant, there were fractured relationships in 19 and injuries were just the death knell. In short, I think it's over. Steph might have another chip in him, but I expect the team to be dramatically different if that happens
I think this video was made a little early, considering the run steph and warriors went on at the end of the season, like 15-5 and ended as the 5th best defense in the league
I think a principle difference between the Spurs and Warriors is prioritizing player health. The Spurs were famously conservative about playing time, back-to-backs, and returning from injury, and it's telling that three of their cornerstone pieces played at or nearing 40. Even among their missteps with Kawhi, they ultimately asked him to play only 200 minutes that season, and let him set his return schedule from the outset.
The Warriors, by contrast, tried to play Klay through a major concussion. They pressured Durant to return with an Achilles sprain. They exhausted their roster chasing an fruitless regular-season record. That works when you can blow out teams so readily that the entire fourth quarter is garbage time, but now they really can't take time off during games if they hope to win.
Another major difference is restocking their personnel. The Spurs are unequaled in their ability to find gems in the later parts of the draft, and developing them into key role-players who can contribute meaningful minutes while the starters preserve their legs. The Warriors gutted their bench to add Durant, and probably need to tank again to properly rebuild. They passed on Keldon Johnson for Jordan Poole, struck out with Oubre, Cousins, Bell, and McCaw, and have shown no signs they've improved on either front.
Video thumbnail reminds me of NBA Jam.
Aren’t the warriors like way over the cap right now
No we're not
Yup, oubre was a 12m contract that cost 40m? Something like that.
@@RikiTree his contract is 14 million that's about it were 7 million over cap not 40million
It's cause of the luxury tax, every mil over you pay an extra 175%, and it scales after that
My b i though they were more in the tax than that
@@RikiTree yeah ik it scales but it isn't explained in that way
Wiseman becoming a star isn’t a long shot he’s looking like one more and more everyday and still only 19 with no off season experience. Wiggins is playing like a dpoy
We still have paschal, pool, mannion developing too with lots of potential
aged like a room temp gouda
when klay comes back, sure, why not. love youtr videos my man, keep it up... you will be at a million ssoner than klay´s next injury.
When Klay gets back, Curry coming off a year where he was carrying everyone, Wiseman getting better and Wiggins being a monster, they will win another one for sure and maybe 2.
Clayton you're way too good to have so few subscribers when considering the quality of your work.
Love your videos as always Clayton, but over here in Warriorsland we are actually very very happy with how wigs is playing for us, he's playing career level ball on both sides, realistically its just Oubre, having two non offense players on the floor at once is what kills us.
It's sad how a dynasty can fall like that. Now for the Western crown it's a battle between the Lakers , Clippers and Jazz maybe the Suns and spurs
Update next year is working
we need an update on this video bro, this didnt age well at all
wiggins is having a career year...leading the league in blocks per game as a non-center, shooting 40% from 3...steph averaging almost 30 a game and leading the league in 3s while being back up to 40% from 3. you add half of what klay was and have him take oubre’s 3s and the warriors are a top 3 seed
You can’t ever count them out. Next year they’ll be a top 5 seed again just wait
i feel next year will be their last year as a contender and considering the injury klay had and his time off i doubt they will win it...so...nce curry is 34.5-35 years old i doubt they will compete for a title with him as their best player so
What are you talking about Wiggins not meshing effectively with the Warriors offense? He has career highs in everything efficiency wise and has assimilated really well.
Oubre busted out last night with a 40 point game last night. Let us hope that when Klay comes back they can grab some of the their past glory. Because they are good for the league when they are lighting up the scoreboard.
*The Championship ship has long sailed off from the Bay Area and has since moved on to TINSELTOWN'S PURPLE & GOLD LAKESHOW!!!*
You're stuff is excellent man! Always get amped when you show up in the sub box.
I think what's rarely talked about with the Warriors is how they have neglected hitting on the smaller things that help maintain a dynasty. Bob Myers has always been very overrated as a GM, and their draft history, outside of big hits in Klay and Draymond is pretty spotty.
The Spurs comparison helps illustrate this issue. Throughout the Spurs run, guys like Dejaun Blair, Thiago Splitter, Gary Neal, Danny Green, Corey Joseph, Bruce Bowen, etc, etc, etc were either selected late or plucked from obscurity to help them win. They identified Kawhi Leonard's talent and traded another late first round success George Hill for him. They hit on Tony Parker at 28 and Manu Ginobili at 57 (!!!!!). Patty Mills was just some dude on the Blazers, now he's hit the most 3s off the bench for one team in league history and is 15th in RPM this year.
Flash forward to their current rebuild and they grabbed Murray, White and Johnson at 29, and Lonnie Walker at 18. None will likely be superstars, but all are outperforming their draft position.
With the Warriors, Jordan Poole, Jacob Evans, Damian Jones have largely been disappointing, and early 2nds like Smailagic, McCaw and Jordan Bell aren't even on the team any more.
So you have Curry, Draymond, Klay and now Wiseman, but if any get injured, or get in foul trouble, it's a disaster. Getting the big things right is the most important thing, but they neglected the margins for so long that they're playing 3 on 5 too often.
Lmaoo this was 4 days ago. Steph is shooting 41% from 3 now btw
I enjoyed every single second of the video and every single take u made here! Lol
it's sad that the dynasty died out because of a fragile team and not because of the retirement of their star players..
This is how an NBA dynasty ends, "not with a bang, but with a whimper."
I'm a believer.... there's no way 2 go but up for this team
Happens to every dynasty, after so many finals runs it takes its toll and their bodies give out...except for whatever team MJ and LBJ are on lol
Good for you for having the first partner!
So glad I got to witnesses this dynasty . I went to games before the 2015 season and they came a long way from booing the owners out the building during Chris Mullen’s Jersey retirement.
This aged rather poorly lol 2022 Champs
Warriors with KD were unbeatable. But Warriors without KD had amazing role players. Draymond,Steph and Klay were the guys you identify with the Warriors the most. But Igoudala was spectacular for them. When coaches say '' be a superstar in your role ''...Andre Igoudala is the definition of that. They had Anrew Bogut. A GREAT defensive center who can pass like very few bigs ever could. Harrison Barnes,at the time was the perfet small-ball 4. He was a great 3rd or even 4th option. Off the bench you had guys like Barbosa who was 6th man of the year in previous seasons. Speights was a capable scorer of the bench. Livingston was a versatile defender, and had a mismatch almost against any point guard. And that mid-range game of his was special. They had such good role players that they didn't even need to use David Lee that much,a 2013 all-star.
So...even if Klay was back this year. Sure, they would be a better team but their current role players simply can't compare with what they used to have. They were a GREAT ALL-AROUND TEAM.
I wish KD didn’t go to the Warriors. I think it would’ve been really exciting to see how Golden State responded after the disappointment of the 2016 finals.
I know this is not a new opinion but they were such a complete team, and I’ll always wonder how long it would’ve lasted if they didn’t have to change to accomodate KD arriving.
Agreed. Really liked the way they played pre KD. I would’ve loved to see KD in San Antonio (definitely a long shot) or with LAC.
Maybe they could be like the Celtics after Russell left. They did win in the finals after 5 years but their leader (Havlicek) was still there.
Has there ever been another situation like that, where a dynasty ends with the founders of the dynasty gone, but the younger player who took over as leader still able to win titles only several years after?
Nobody:
Max Kellerman and the Grizzlies:
“I wAnT iGuOdAlA!”
If Klay comes back next year, i think they are automatically a big contender in the west. Wiggins is geling more, even oubre has gotten better, Wiseman will be given more time to develop. Steph and Dray will continue to be great. Warriors are prime for another run on top, but they only have a few years left.
Yo I have a cool idea for a series you could do: "Greatest players that never got a ring."
This team is totally fine. It’s set up with draft capital, a veteran core, young pieces, transcendental generational talent, ownership, management, culture, fan base, what more do you need? They are definitely contenders for the foreseeable future.
The things people forget about the Warriors dynasty was that they weren't actually the best 3 point shooters. I mean Steph was and Klay was and KD in years 3-5 was excellent (though not as good on 3s as people remember; his insane versatility is what makes him a scoring god), but that was all they had. They actually won on passing and defense, and their defense was mostly their insanely long, incredibly high IQ wings. The Warriors were the tallest, longest, best passing, best defending team in basketball, with a next-level offense full of back screens and off-ball movement that the rest of the league hadn't caught up to.
Well everyone caught up. And the Warriors brilliant defenders are all gone (save Draymond). And the new guys, while showing some promise, aren't Iguodala or Livingston, and definitely aren't KD. Wiseman looks pretty good, Wiggins is really trying on D for once, Oubre still has looks lost at times but should catch on eventually, so if Klay comes back at 100%, they should have decent D and reasonable shooting. They won't be the mighty dynasty that made basketball beautiful again, but they might make a run or two before Steph gets too old.
Want a new version now more than ever
boy oh boy
Bro went from being very wrong to very right in just 3 years.

I'm in the future and the Warriors might be making a run in 2022
this video has not aged welll
idk seems like they're winning pretty much exactly how he said they would win if they returned
Great to see you getting some sponsorship!
No love for Wiggins eh? His defensive leveling up has been something of a legit story. As they gel their upside looks like a 42-32ish team. Get back a strong Klay next year in an 82 game season I can see 55+ wins which is pretty much contender status. Curry, Klay, Wiggins, Draymond is a pretty strong group.
I hate to oversimplify their problem, but their biggest problem is that Klay is out. We underrate how good Klay Thompson is as a player, he’s the kind of guy that makes an entire team better, his defense can atleast bring them closer to league average, and having to guard Steph and Klay on the 3 point line is an impossible task. Their dynasty isn’t over, they still have Minnesota’s pick, and if they miss the playoffs thats 2 lottery picks, I like those odds for adding a good talent.
I think a greatest defender of all time series would be really interesting. Guys like Duncan, Hakeem, DRob, Russell, Garnett, atc
Great content Clayton. I would argue that Andrew Wiggins has been a great fit with the Warriors, particularly in his defense and shooting. Defenses must focus on Steph who is playing at MVP level which opens things up for Wiggins whose talent has blossomed. And he is only 25! James Wiseman is a major talent and developing fast. He will be a big contributor next year. Next season, barring major injuries, a line-up of Steph-Klay-Wiggins-Draymond-Wiseman has all the ingredients of strong defense, ball movement, and scoring to contend.
Kelly Oubre is a question mark for sure but the bench has been a strength for the Warriors this season especially Eric Paschal. He is a young and confident player that provides more scoring punch. A few more pieces are needed on the bench but next year's starting line-up has championship potential in my opinion. The Warriors have a great front office and a big checkbook!
