I am Azeri. I really liked it and felt no hatred towards this pretty girl singing with her heart a folk songs of her ancestors. Her singing proves that Armernians are part of Anatolian an Middle Eastern civilisation, cause the rythm of the music is very much like turkish and kurdish ones as much as a words like "humar, yar, Nazan (it's a female name in Azerbaijan and Turkey) etc. All the wars ends in peace and sooner or later there will be a peace in Southern Caucasus. I wish it comes sooner than later....

This Armenian song brings in me many emotions and feelings more than any other song in this world. I don't understand the lyrics, but the tune goes directly to my heart. Peace from a Moroccan falling in love with Armenian music.

Nox their are many that think that way but those that committed the atrocities are gone. You can't blame people of today otherwise you will be the same as those that committed the original crime of humanity. It is obvious that there are still big hatreds in this world. The comments I get from Azerbajian are proof of that. I feel bad about it but what can you do. It's refreshing to hear comments like aserdar's.

  • @tarp001

I usually prefer having a bass guitar instead of a regular guitar mainly because of the way I play oud (integrating chords while playing the melody) but the guitar player in this clip, Bruce Gigargian is very good and provided ample bottom that may not be realized in the clip when played on a laptop. If you like the bass guitar with this music, Chris Marashlian is a very good player. Also Ara Dinkjian on keyboard, the best. both do a wonderful job complimenting the oud and bottom spectrum. tarp

The reason there are so many dislikes is because I don't post 99% of the comments from Azerbajani's. Unfortunately the conflict between Azerbajani's and Armenians is generating many disgusting comments against the clip and my daughter. We get some bad comments from Turkey and even some from Armenia but we also receive nice comments from Turkish people. In general the response for this clip is overwelmingly positive. We hold no animosity against these groups. Hope everyone can enjoy us.

Nox, my grandmother was 5 yrs old when the genocide happened. Her and her three brothers lost their mother and older sister. They were all taken in by other families and survived. Grandma was taken in by a Kurdish family. She said I was like a slave but they gave her a roof over her head, a place to sleep and food to eat. By the way Grandma is still kicking, alive and well at 102 yrs old. She just made it through a hurricane too with no electric and heat. She said I had to see this too.
