This is a review of the Earthquaker Devices Hoof Reaper dual channel fuzz/analog octave pedal. This pedal is great for beat up, thick fuzz sounds, and well as wild lead tones in the upper register of your guitar.

Great video. I had one of these and sold it to later regret it. Hoping to get another one soon.
One thing to point out, this is a combination of the hoof and the reaper pedals, not the cloven hoof. The cloven is the silicon version, this pedal blends the normal hoof with the germanium/silicon.

I was under the impression that this was just an octave fuzz for some reason. I didn't know that it combined 3 different pedals! I made a mistake overlooking this one!

The octave is supposed to sound good from the 12th fret! It's not something you play with chords! It's not supposed to sound thick! It's an Octave up!

Any ideas on how it works on bass? I've heard good things about it from several bass players, but I can hardly find anyone playing through it on youtube

I never triied the Hoof Reaper through it, but I had the hoof and I absolutely loved running my bass through it. Can't imagine the hoof reaper would leave you wanting.
