I remember rewatching from V.1 to refresh for V.9 and the moment in the forest made me cry so much cause I forgot they used that music that early I miss Pyrrha
Okay finally someone is bringing attention to this so please do this for more if the songs! I have rewatched rwby so so so many times and there are so many examples of this with other songs. The first time we meet qrow at the bar it is playing bad luck charm and so many times when you see cinder it is playing all things must die
The fun thing about All Things Must Die is that technically it's both Raven and Cinder's music. As in, both of their musical themes are in that song, so you could technically say that it plays during both of their scenes.
It's really nice that from before (from volume 1) they already had the melody for "Forever Fall" and with the scene at 8:24 I cried with that part... when the sheet appeared I said: "symbolic Pyrrha is giving her a signal to find Oscar" but never expected Joune to find a statue in honor of Pyrrha 🥲😢😭

Because she was fighting so hard? Because even though she was overwhelmed in strength by her opponent the whole time it still felt so painfully _close_ when you were trying to convince yourself she'd make it? Because up until a few episodes ago it WAS the sort of show where she'd make it? Maybe just because she was just genuinely so young and had so much left to do and experience and it was all taken away? Maybe some combination? Probably some combination. And no, YOU'RE crying. My eyes are totally dry. This is allergies. Just deeply emotionally wounding allergies.
For me, it's because we could see Pyrrha's interest in Jaune when they first met. That interest grew to trust and, eventually, affection on behalf of Pyrrha. She needed him to be reminded that she was a normal kid like everyone else (well, as normal as any huntsman or huntress CAN be), and he needed her to realize he was better than he believed himself to be. They were perfect for each other. The moment Pyrrha kissed Jaune and pushed him in the locker, my heart broke. I remember watching it the first time with conflicted emotions. I cheered for the realization of their relationship blossoming, while simultaneously in shock. I remember my jaw dropping and saying "Shit, she's gonna die." She was going through such conflicting emotions, being chosen as the Fall Maiden, and most of the conflict stemmed from her affection toward Jaune. That's why she pushed him away when he tried to console her. She knew the weight of the decision she had to make, and making that decision would mean they couldn't be together. I tear up thinking about the Fall of Beacon for Pyrrha's sake alone. No matter what the outcome would have been, she'd lose in some way. And as far as he'd come, as close as they'd both come to finding happiness in themselves and each other, Jaune would lose too. Still, I hoped that somehow she'd make it out alive. But Ruby got there just a moment too late. I think their relationship was relatable to the point where we wanted to see them win in a situation where they couldn't. I die a little every time I think of Pyrrha, and I think of Pyrrha every time I look at Jaune.
What an excellent update! I hate to say it, but after seeing more of the instances, I still think it applies more to Jaune's feelings than to Pyrrha's, but it is likely both of their views. I think there was one slight place you might have missed... In V5 when Jaune unlocks his Semblance. it's only for 8 seconds though, so I wouldn't worry about it. Wonderful compilation and nice use of the lyrics to apply them to scenes, giving a new spin on them.
The RWBY wiki had it listed as happening when Jaune says Pyrrha told him he has a lot of Aura. I listened to the moment like ten times and didn't hear it. Maybe it was a little before or after the part I was listening to or maybe it's kinda faint. There are a couple other moments I decided not to include. Maybe one or two. And they were either because it was there for two seconds or it was so faint. But "almost every time..." doesn't make for a good title lol.

But its definitely there, right as he starts to say, 'Pyrrha once told me I had a lot.' In episode title Downfall. It also doesn't last long.
Pyrrha has been my most favorite ever since she was shown. The statue sense makes me cry more.. she was the most beautiful character in my opinion. I wish she's back...

There is a short cue in Volume 7 Chapter 3 as Jaune looks at his "Pyrrha sash" as the team is changing into their new Atlas outfits. It's very easy to miss, and it's the only time other than what's in this video. I did also forget to include a moment from Volume 5 in this video, when Jaune says "Pyrrha told me I have a lot of Aura, and I still believe her."
