    There are two types of people regarding this update: those who saw the stream and those who also read the patch notes. Some serious logi nerfs incoming with the Emat/HEmat changes coupled with the double nerf whammy to auto harvies. The new ship carries too little to make it worthwhile (3 ironships carry more and dont cost ralloys+dry dock) and doesnt even have a crane! I'm glad we're getting some QOL but a lot of this update feels random and half baked. Someone pointed out that if we can see and avoid mud now, what purpose does the colonial raincoat have anymore? Also the weather tower costing as much as a storm cannon or intel center? Then having it tell you nothing more than a weather rock? BRUH.

      Not even just costing as much as a storm cannon, you *must* have multiple of them in another hex to connect to for any of it to even work.
      But there's a limited range you can build it from each other hex to hex. It's so incredibly half baked.

      The idea of having the new ship is also to carry Harversters, since you can stock them in the hull. The absence of cranes is true for every boat, I think they are focusing on getting us the vehicle first, addition with an added mechanical and development weight like boat cranes second.
      The colonial raincoat will still reduce the penalty players get when getting muddy, allowing them not to *have to* go around and have a viable option to just "tank" the mud. It lets them fight and move in Tier 1 trenches longer, letting Colonials have a clear incentive not to t2 trenches in a rainstorm
      A back line Storm Cannon has little purpose until the end of the war and Intelligence Towers are efficient when powered and aimed at the right places. The Weather Station will be able to continuously track weather. Knowing weather patterns in advance avoids getting surprised during an operation by bad weather (especially rain) and using the weather to help attack (using the ice to cross a lake, which can be planned only if you have a Weather Station) or anticipate such an attack and get ready to defend those unusual pushes
      That is, at least, the train of thought they seem to have expressed during the devlog

    Yeah as a partisan I would be fine with fac husks if they lost their inventory. I understand how people can be upset if they lose their fac progress it’s happened to be before. Partisan work for 1 attack on a fac can take 6 hours of planning or some days I will just scout for like 9 hours straight and not even do a hit.

    I'll never understand why Siege camp continues to give players everything they aren't asking for, but for some reason outright refuse to address the biggest issues in the community since BEFORE WAR 100: too much lag, not enough moderation.
    If the update war doesn't fix the lag and in-game moderation, that's it for me. Game was fun, but I can't waste more time in foxhole when there are better, completed games out there to play.

      I'm starting to reach a point of burnout myself. Communication from the devs would be a game changer for the longevity of the game.

    this update added more tedium, big logi nerfs and a resource ship that gets outclassed by 3 freighters and costs more than a submarine. thank you markfoot

      The logic the devs had when adding the new large resource ship was "this is gonna be utilized more in future updates". If that's the case, then it would make more sense to have delayed the release of the ship until it made sense. I'm assuming they wanted to add the ship with this update just to beef things up a bit more.
      My only other thought it if it took X amount of months for development for the development team to come up with update 57, did they really need to spend time on the new resource ship? Would it have been better spent adding more major QoL updates for builders/infantry?

    The real question is.. WHY CAN'T I STORE MY VETTED VEHICLES?! That one thing keeps me from playing Foxhole in any quantifiable manner until its fixed. I've lost WAY to many vetted tanks to alts to ever want to build facilities ever again.

      What i hate about the game is people claiming "alts" everywhere. Really ruins the mood even tho the scenario you told could have literally been anyone taking your high tier vehicle not just spooky alts.

      @@Jebu911 i don't want to be overly mean. But, you obviously have no idea how multi teir'd vehicles are currently stored. They are stabled ontop of a squad locked crane in your base that only YOU!!! can access to let down. What alts do, is see the crane with the t2-3 vehicle on it, and destroy the crane with the tank ontop of it. No one "drives off" in a multi teir vehicle, their never left out for anyone to just take. They get alted by unknowns running into your base and destroying the platform it's on.
      When you learn more about the game, you will fall into the "alts in the walls" mentality when you start to realize how these things are done.

    Partisan speaking here, the facility husk change will undoubtedly change how we do partisan work but, I feel that the devs can balance it to be fair for both sides (facility and partisans). If it costs the same amount to rebuild facility building or even the same as the last upgrade like with bunkers, I feel that it would still be worth killing facilities. but it will also depend on if the amount of resources you get back the same % as the bunkers when killed/tapped (pretty sure about 1/7th of each item). TLDR: if facility husks work on a similar system to bunker cores, we’ll be fine. . . ‼️Edit‼️: with it being tested on dev branch we can confirm that it only costs the same mats as the base build (most are Cmats/Bmats) and you will get all mats back if rebuilt, until this is change partisaning facility’s is worthless.     The BMS Large Resource ship will almost never get used, even with major logi clans. Currently in the game there is zero incentive to do naval logi due to the vast resources on land. Add in that this large ship cost wise competes with a longhook or frigate/destroyer; almost everyone is going to chose to build the latter.
    Unless they add major incentives to heavily participate in islands(where all naval logi exists currently); such as every island having VPS and central islands having a refinery/mpf. Almost no clan will build the BMS Large Resource ship due to the fact it simply isn't worth the cost. The only foreseeable future where I do see it being used is if weather becomes crippling to the Freighter.

      Yeah like I said in the 2nd half of the video, I don't see myself or any other small/medium sized regiments using the new ship purely because scrooping/resource collecting is a grind in itself, I don't need to sit there longer to fill up a large resource focused naval vessel. What would have been cool is if the devs added some sort of buff to resource gathering if you set your spawn to that vessel, increasing the yield per resource node.

      @@GrembloTV Maybe they could tweak it so that the iron ship can't break ice but the bowhead can (bowhead whales have the well bow head irl to break ice really well.) But also the ai defence turret means partisans can't easily as attack it.

    As a builder, I'm trying hard to write up a builder/infantry update idea before Seigecamp screws things up further. I think a MAJOR point of them being out of touch with the playerbase is that Foxhole and other games they make are literally their LIFE, while for the average player they need to go to work, they can't spend 24 hours ingame. Heck, I've had problems staying dedicated to the game EVEN DURING OFF SEASON, because it consumes so much of your time that you aren't able to do anything else. People say that you gotta find balance, but the game is NOT designed for that. If you participate in base or facility construction, YOU'RE LOCKED IN.
    Even as part of a regiment, there's this false assumption that the rest of the regiment will take care of the stuff when you take a break. That's not true. Instead what happens is each member of the regiment 'takes a break' until those who remain are overwhelmed with the additional workload and quit. So you STILL have to be on every other day, BARE MINIMUM. And a lot can happen when you are gone, as partisans don't NEARLY need to have as much dedication to the game as builders. They just log on, grab explosives, and blow your stuff up. Meanwhile you're getting burnt out on msups, so you have to wonder if you're actually receiving mercy when you base explodes...

      Add to this that a Frigate or DD will sail up and arty conc down in 5 mins and you get disaster.

      If you are both the player who builds and the player who maintains the base, it is a problem of organization within your regiment. Maintenance should be shared or done by people who did not spend hours building the base
      There is a clear problem of building gameplay though, and I would sign and support any LOGI-style open letter/movement to fix that

    Theres a few big things people dont like though:
    1. 120mm now takes HEmats
    2. The warden sniper is just better in a significant way than the collie one. Collie one has slightly better stability gain, but the warden one one-shots
    3. for some reason puddle block building, hopefully this will be fixed though

      @@GrembloTV I think it's the number 1 priority, as building (and maintaining builds) is the number 1 cause of burnout among players

      I'll add a bit of information on the Clancy-Raca.
      At 55 meters (or less) it's highest roll is 151, and the lowest roll is 93. Hovering around 120 or 110 depending on distance.
      When you go beyond 55 meters, the rolls drop to 103 and 0.

      My Warden take on the Clancy-Raca: It's ability to one-shot is undeniably strong but it is useless against enemies you cannot guarantee to hit (if they have cover for example) as it take ages to aim with it. If your target moves just even a bit, you will need 4 full seconds (an ISG could shoot twice in this timeframe) to be able to shoot them and clicking with full accuracy can still miss because of aiming shenanigans (it takes a bit of practice to use)
      The KRR Auger has double the ammo per clip and a clearly better accuracy gain. You should use it, not as a one-shot one-kill sniper but as a very long range rifle, the role that it is, I believe, made to fulfill

    why did they not give wardens a raincoat like collies who have snow uniform? if they didnt add it now the prbly never will and cant really see why in the "vision" collies got both and wardens just one

      The "vision" is an enigma. Separately, I actually found out that the scout uniform for wardens provides around 30% protection to the snow!

      yes, maybe they wanna give collie scout uni some rain resistance before doing the blue raincoat. as it stands rn collies have a high protection uni from rain and a light protection uni for snow, wardens have a high prot uni from snow and scout uni with light snow protection. i would be in favor of wardens being good in snow and collies good in rain but this is a very neat discrepancy in equipment

    Sort inventory button is awesome. Using the lowest stack first whne ordering is great. Specifc stack splitting is great. Being able to access inventory as passenger is good as well.
    Anything that makes arty spam less likely is a massive W in my book.
    Puddles mechanic takes the sting out of the most frustration with the old rain since you can avoid getting muddy and dig/bucket out the water (although wardens still need a raincoat).
    As far as logi, it seems people focus on the "All Explosive Powder costs have been doubled" and "All Heavy Explosive Powder costs have been quadrupled" but forget that the coversion ratios for both got halfed and quartered now (both emats an hemats refine at a 5:1 ratio now).
    Stationairy harvester output decrease I think is a good thing (personally) I do not like the near full automation of resource gathering (but I'm probably in the minority with that opinion)
    New freighter looks good but handles like a drunk blue whale
    Resourceship without a crane seems rather pointless

    I hope with new wearther update, it will make medium and heavy tank have % tank to stuck in mud which same as tracked then need another the tank ( without turret) to attach and pull it out of mud

      why without turret? im just saying from a perspective of i have a tank and cannot pull another tank out is pretty lame. I am not a tanker btw, just saying. i think adding a winch would be best, then you can winch to a tree, structure, or another tank and get pulled out or pull yourself out. Winch counts as a big item such as a tripod. if you die then it falls there and can be picked up by someone else or the tank driver can retract. This might make for some hilarious situations.

      @@BaLis7iK I said without turret to describe a truck only use for pulling purpose such as duty truck, my idea is make it for pulling heavy things like disable tanks, stuck in mud tanks,... Or you can attach trailers not only 1, u can attach up to 3 ( I guess )
