Hi there, Thank you for your wonderful comments - all of which inspire me to keep going and hopefully keep getting better at what I do. The story of the brick is a good one and I had to include it. Keep well and happy. Neal

What aa great shame, such a nice cinema and replaced by a Mc Donalds which you can find round every corner. I wonder if the organ is still in good order? I saw Robinson Cleaver at a few concerts while some cinemas still had organs but that was some time ago now.

I bet it was. The older we get the more essential it is that these great cinemas are remembered along with the staff. They worked with dedication to the art of presenting films that has sadly largely gone today. Although digital projection is high standard the cinemas themselves tend to be just large black boxes with a screen at the end. Long live the cinemas that keep those presentation skills of yesteryear. I could find no further info on the Compton, hopefully it survives and thrives!
