They don't belong moved to another diocese - they belong in jail. I grew up near St. Martin's. No one would have ever suspected this. How convenient for the perpetrators, and damaging for our neighborhoods and beyond. Much gratitude to this gentleman for his fortitude and candor. He's saved many people from a very distorted future.

The Jesuit priest that abused me would take me out on his speed boat. Does something sound really wrong with a priest owning a boat? He also had a 4' x8 ' train set in the attic of the parish. I kept this quiet for 41 years.
When the first big story about sex abuse broke in 2002 in Pittsburgh, I was with a friend. We had both been sexually abused by family members. She was furious about the story, I was calmer. I knew from my own experience (5 people covered it up) that it took some time to grasp the horror of the situation. I was confident that after a few weeks or months the church would get its' act together and hunt down, expel and punish those responsible throughout the church. I was wrong. They continue to duck and weave addressing situations only when they are forced to. I am a traditional Catholic and still believe in the church but I have come to realize that the hierarchy is corrupt from top to bottom with some notable exceptions. I know that it is difficult but do not let these corrupt individuals steal your faith. I can guarantee you that those responsible for these horrendous acts and those that covered it up will go to hell. You have my word on that. Do not let them take anymore from you than they have already. I am so sorry for the pain these sick individuals have caused you.
@@Imissyoulou I no longer attend mass because the closest TLM is 45 minutes away and at 70 I do not feel I can make the drive. I will not attend NO masses. I have tried many and find them too irreverent and many of the priests effeminate. I know that the Catholic church is the true church started by the apostles unfortunately it is now lead by corrupt individuals. This was prophesised by are Blessed Mother during many of the Her apparitions. I continue to pray many rosaries a day, listen to the few good priests on youtube and read the Bible. I have lost many things in my life because of the abuse but I will not allow these perverts to steal my faith. I was not at the deathbed of my abuser but I was told that for the days before his death he insisted that the drapes be drawn because he saw things coming through the window at him. Sexual assault cases have been dominating Islamic boarding schools. being muslim, religious, socially/sexually conservative etc. doesn't reduce or prevent this sort of thing. No matter how covered you are, young or old. Infant or toddler will experience such thing from creatures whom are a predators in this world
It happens within the Muslim community, but given the stigma that often exists around this, especially if you're a female, would probably end up being blamed for it or accused of lying etc it just gets brushed under the carpet.
It is better to confront the issue then push things under the rug and try to hide it from the public it'll all come out in the end anyway we're all human and sinners the church tells you to confess your sins it all they do is move the priests around from one location to another

The church continues to turn a blind eye to this. And the government doesn’t do jack about it either. Makes me proud to be an Athiest.
