  • On September 11, 2001, Judi Hawkins, originally from Dayton, Indiana, and her British husband, Colin, were aboard a flight from London to their home in America following a family visit. Delve into Judi’s captivating narrative of their unplanned detour to Gander, Newfoundland, on that fateful day. Alongside nearly 7,000 “plane people,” Judi and her husband experienced the heartwarming hospitality and benevolence of the Gander community and its neighboring towns, a story that served as the inspiration for the hit Broadway musical, Come From Away.
