Total crap I’ve personally been too multiple triple w auctions and you cannot fault the auction for what the owners or buyers are doing to the animals. Triple w is a great auction and I’m actually going this Thursday to sell 2 ostrich for the zoo I manage. These people and reporters have no clue what they are talking about let alone anything about exotic animals in general
Truth!!!!! We help them out during the sales. We gave hay and water to every animal, every day. We can't do a medical check on every animal that comes in, it would take too long and cost too much. If the animal is sick before it gets here it's on the owner not the auction barn.
Yeah, but these animals can't exactly be put in the wild either. I wish they could but they can't, they were all raised in captivity and don't have the skills needed to find food and escape predators in the wild.
At the auction itself no but the places these animals are being shipped to consist mainly of roadside zoos, canned hunts, and other bad places, not all of them but a large majority.
@@Animalboy-nk8xc but this is America. You have no right to tell a man what he can do with his property. You either agree with the entirety with the US Constitution or are against it.
Of course the auction itself is wrong! It’s cruel and stressful to the animals and nothing is done to ensure they go to responsible owners nor that is comes from responsible providers. Ditto for Amish auctions and sales of animals.
Completely incorrect, you have to present a exotic wildlife license to even own most of these animals, to even get the proper paperwork USDA and ZAA have to inspect you property and land before any species are approved to inhabit it. The problem is some people are doing it illegally and illegal sales AFTER the auction takes place. Those animals are only in the pens for a few hours. I know this because I’m a lead manager and animal specialist at a zoo in Louisiana and I’m actually going tomorrow to the triple w auction to sell 2 ostrich. People who work with animals tend to care for them and treat them with great respect. Troll much? These animals should be in the wild to begin with.
At a auction you can not tell the bidder what to do with what the animal after they buy them
Grants zebras are not an endangered subspecies that accredited zoos don't care about either. They are more concerned about grevy and mountain zebras.
