If you want to skip the beginning part of the move follow this (learn the move for each hand separately then put it together once you've learnt them). Right hand: Start with the cards in dealers grip in the left hand then lift off about ⅕ of the deck with the thumb and middle finger of your right hand and get it into the position shown at 4:04 with the help of the fingers and thump of your left hand. Then continue following the instructions at 4:04 until 4;41 (and ignore what's going on with the left hand). Then continue at 5:37 Left hand: From dealers grip, lift up a few cards from the deck with your thumb like you are doing a Charlier cut, but then continue with instructions at 4:55 until 5;19. Then continue at 6:32. Then learn to put them together and then learn to close the flourish 7:13.

i've been doing card tricks and flourishes for about one year and i wanna learn the Virus. so,... how long did you practice to be so good with that flourish?
Virus was actually the third flourish I learned. My first 2 were pretty basic. In order to learn virus I got familiar with each step before performing all of the in succession. ( for instance I would do the packet twirl to extension in the left hand for a day or 2 then after I would practice the moves in the right). It took me about 5 days with about an hour of practice a day before I did the whole thing (albeit very slowly). In two weeks I could do it about 70% of the time without messing up. Half a year of fidgeting later and I can do it faster than Noel's performance in the video.
