    1. Wemby rolled his ankle twice and that's why he's on a minutes restriction.
    2. Wemby came to the nba insistent on not playing center. They gave him 20 games of just letting him play. Not running plays when he was on the court. The sochan experiment was a part of those 20 games

      3. its been literally over a month now of the Sochan experiment being over
      4. Anyone can take the most egregious clips to form a negative narrative, watch full games instead of highlights to have a better understanding of what the Spurs are doing

      Disappointing that it takes all of 5 minutes to research it (don’t even need the full 20 minutes lol) but he posted this take/video with little research 🤦🏽‍♂️

    Tanking is hard, especially for a young player, but if your plan is to win Championships and you know you aren't going to win this year, might as well maximizes your chance of winning a championship in the future. Spurs will be in the playoffs within 2 years.

  • @Mandozen

    The minute restriction has done Wemby great. I think it forced him to be more efficient and consistent while also protecting him from injury. Also, this is a tanking season anyway so why should the Spurs risk their franchise player to injury? They're not contending anyway. The Sochan experiment and the Wemby minute restriction are just tanking strategies. The Spurs' priority is for Wemby to get reps and experience, and familiarize himself with the league and his teammates, while also waiting for his body to develop and grow stronger. Wemby is the start of the Spurs' rebuild but he's definitely not the end. The Spurs roster needs a lot. I heard that this year's draft is pointguard-heavy, so maybe the Spurs are tanking for their future PG. I know the Spurs has Tre Jones, but respectfully, Tre is more of a back-up PG. I also think they need another spot-up shooter because Vassel is inconsistent.

    • @cruzanassassin
      @cruzanassassin 9 місяців тому

      How is it protecting him from injury? Should he play 28 minutes the rest of his career?

    • @Mandozen
      @Mandozen 9 місяців тому

      @@cruzanassassin Well, less minutes typically results to less risks in injuries. I’m not saying he should play 28 minutes all the time, but for the time being. Wemby does not want to sit out after he rolled his ankle twice, so him being put into minute restriction was the compromise the medical team and the coaching staff came up with for him.

  • @MrJed010
    @MrJed010 9 місяців тому +2

    Their first 30 games was a throwaway. It was pretty much just experiments and the coaching staff didn't prioritize winning. That's why I don't believe the Spurs has gotten worse compared to last season. Pop knew that Vic is at best at center, Tre as starting PG and Sochan as PF is the best recipe to win but he refused to make those adjustments. Now that Pop has toned down on the experiment, the Spurs are now competing and soon these competitive performances will translate into wins.

  • @MoneyHumph
    @MoneyHumph 9 місяців тому

    "Someone get Wemby help" is something you normally say about a player thats been in the league for more than a year now. decent video but I think you fail to understand the spurs, yes we are a bad team and we are "holding wemby back" but its all in good reason. He isnt playing unnessecary minutes on top of a slight injury he had. The Sochan experiment was primarily to help Sochan develope his IQ with the ball and to some degree it helped. With Trae Jones on the floor with Sochan he was doing better than he was during the PG experiment. Trading for someone to help Wemby is also too soon because thats not what rebuilds are about. We are building up and we are still on the Foundation. the Spurs org was what they had last, a dynasty and making moves too early into wembys carreer will get us chips but we wanna dominate for another 20 straight years.
