Actually not. For whatever reason, I only remember my old man washing his hair ONCE. He had naturally curly "Liberace" type hair and when he washed it his hair went completely out of control for days. Instead of washing it with shampoo he'd just wet it and towel it off. No greasy hair or odor. Yeah - I can't explain it either, but I was ten when he washed his hair and he never did so again. He passed in his 70s. You'd never know he hadn't washed his hair in decades.

When I first quit shampoo there was an adjustment period as my scalp had to find it’s a balance again. But now it’s always healthy. What animals have nasty greasy hair that don’t use shampoo?
For those missing the point, it was heavily popularized during the boom of a capitalistic society, with little reason, and lots of $$$ being made.

I have no idea why I got sucked into watching these videos, but here I am😅 It's cool to see these barbers dedicated to their craft, and to see men taking time to do something interesting and deliberate with their appearance. I think every person should do whatever works for them in terms of the time/thought/energy/money they put into how they look. However in general it's refreshing to see men get more social space to do that (and to see women have fewer expectations put on them to do that, but that's a whole other post😋)

Nah he’s got that natural coarse hair - we don’t wash more than once every couple of months - at most. Sometimes I wash my hair once or twice a year only. Or else I’d just have dead frizzy mess. Or even oily hair. Some hair and scalps do not like to be washed…those chemicals are strong.

Any reason why he didn’t shampoo for 7 years ? Did it extend the health and life of his hair to prevent thinning or baldness ? Or did it damage his hair at all ?

I have the same question... I used to wash my hair compulsively, like sometimes twice a day it it was a crazy night (once before work and once after, working in a restaurant). I don't donit every day anymore, but at least 3 times per week and with conditioner too.
Probably just no poo to keep in natural and reduce any chemicals. After a certain point your scalp tends to regulate and not become oily. I don’t think I could do it because there’s so many shampoos these days that don’t have sulfates, parabans, etc so while it might still do some damage, the benefits outweigh the cons for me.
I’m sorry. Is there a woman in his life? No shampoo in that long? Not healthy.
@@SamSlugg456 That's not true. The scalp can not regulated the sebum that is produce. Not cleaning the scalp make the perfect ground for differents fungus

Hi guys from across the pond, Yorkshire, UK just in case you wondered which pond I was referring to. I never liked men with facial hair however since chancing on your videos I am amazed at the grooming process. I am hooked on your channel, I love to see the before and after shots and what a transformation each guy has gone through. It seems all your barbers are at the top end of their craft & very artistic. He bought into the "no poo" idea that's gone around the internet. He certainly rinses regularly and it's worked for him. I just think a good wash & condition would elevate the look. -Eric

All of these skin fades are £10 cuts you can get anywhere in the UK. It's been the standard cut for over a decade and I don't think it'll go away, just evolve.

Really like the haircut of all three men. Although I'm not real fond of the mullet. He also looked 5,6 years, maybe even 10 years younger without the beard. I think he looks more handsome man without a beard.

Really great barbering. The only thing with the 1st man, he looked great except I don't like the long hair flipping out at the sides. Long all over, great but not the long flips. Sorry, just one woman's opinion.

I have not used shampoo for 7 years. I do shower regularly and comb my hair every day. Eric is trying to impress upon me the value of shampoo. I am still skeptical. Without shampoo, my hair is soft and manageable. And contrary to what you might think- it does not smell. I have been using conditioner daily since this video and I really like that change in my routine.
