Its so funny to me that Kero didnt even TRY to change the look of his Sona in any way. It is so clearly Kero. I just feel bad for the newbies that stumble upon his rebranded channel and not having a clue who he really is.
It really sucks too because the community had tried to report the channel, get him dealt with, etc. The ONLY reason he "got away with it" was because the investigation was one day short of the evidence being valid for a charge. It sucks that it turned out that way. And the fact he was so well known actively damaged the reputation of the community further. It's just so unfortunate that kero and all others like him somehow get away with it in the eyes of the law due to some sort of thing about the amount of time that's passed since the crime was committed. They still committed the crime why can't they be punished??? And then they silently return to the communities to try to rebrand
good to know im not the only one that noticed that. if he actually was trying to hide away from his bad reputation then he should've used a completely different avatar without any of the same details as the old one. but why would someone that's dumb enough to even precipitate in zoo activities would have any brain power to come up with a completely new avatar design?
@@Its_Asteria according to the statute of limitations, if you sexually abuse a child in your twenties, once you turn 55 you can't be tried. It is one disgusting shitty system the law is. In need of reform.
It's horrible that people try to JUSTIFY disgusting and horrible abuse of animals, which are only as smart as toddlers and have no way of fighting back.
Thank you for mentioning that animals (dogs specifically) have the intelligence level equal to a toddler. This is no different than pedophilia. Just because it's an animal doesn't make it any more okay. They both have the same level of understanding.
And I can’t wait to see the day in where these kinds of people see karmatic justice by having a wild relative of their victim (wolf for dogs, lion or jaguar or kittens) deliver karmic justice by making a meal out of those wicked
Yeah and the Fandom as well as non furries STILL report his account and everything and nothings happened. Animal rights laws just aren't the best in most of the world and unfortunately a lot of states in the U.S. are part of that. And new York is one of said states. They don't take it as seriously as rhey should.
There shouldn’t have been a statute of limitations for abuse against non-consensual parties to begin with. If there wasn’t, he would have been jailed a long time ago.
I have been following kero and the zoosadists leaks for awhile now. It angers me greatly that kero is allowed to still exist on this site, even with his stupid name change to try and distance himself from his real zoophile identity. One day he’ll be perma banned and on that day I won’t be satisfied since it means nothing, I would be happy if he ended up in jail for longer than snake thing
@@rossjohnstone4689 I'm sure that was taken down recently after hypnotist Sappho named them. But I'm not 100% on that. It's a podcast not many know about or didn't know about until hypnotist Sappho decided to also be a kero
Remember: Furries are not Zoophlies but Zoophiles CAN be furries as the CAN be members of ANY community. It is just a 0.1 percent of our community and we don't want them in here nonetheless. Edit: Because so many people have been talking about this, yes they are far more than 0.1%. I used that number to just underline that they are a minority in our community.
indeed, actually most people who are not part of anything well mostly Religion are zo0ph!les, just some decide to enter the furry fandom for.. obvious reasons; Plus to try and hide around and if they get down they know exacly that the whole community will be damaged too so they won't be the Only ones affected...
0.1 percent? thats you being defending of zoos, really, its like 30%, not less, ALMOST EVERY MOTHER FUCKING FURRY IN SOME COMMUNITY I KNOW OFF, CAME OUT AS A PEDO/ZOO
Kero singlehandedly set back like 5 years of progress and positive representation the furry community had built up. New people interested or supportive of furries find out about Kero and their opinions begin to shift
Your poor grandma doesn’t deserve to be tainted by that knowledge. I hope she doesn’t step foot near them, lest she learns just how terrible and disgusting most of them are.
@@Gayhorses most? ☠☠ Most furries are kind people and they have donated more money than anyone to charity! You need to look at the good from the bad, there are barley bad furries and yet here you are proving my point that all haters assume all furries are bad when they’re really not.
It's crazy this problem can be literally and figuratively solved the same way. Throw out the bad apple. You can see it right there; just grab it and toss it in the slop trough.
Yeah that's like 3 million people in the random if not more, so that view that a person did crime/cruelty counts for millions is screwed logic. Just because there's crime in cities doesn't mean everyone in those cities are criminals.
It still persist through the fandom though. We can see the same denial behaviors and obfuscation with Sappho. Furries need to be more prolific in outing and kicking out people who are discovered to be zoos. I think what we did with sappho (she can't exist in any vr furry space without being crashed or berated, and she has to live in secret because nobody in the fandom wants her around) proves that improvements have been made but we can always be better.
The thing that sickens me the most about the whole Kero shit is that his parents (allegedly) helped cover up a lot of this stuff. He was living with his parents for a bit while doing a lot of this sick shit. He claims that his parents and himself where compiling with police and where willing to hand over evidence. That was a complete lie. Whether or not Kero planned it or not him not working with the police caused the charges to be dropped due to the stature of limitations.
its a real shame how the world sees us. Edit: not talking about zoos. Im talking about how others actions reflect on how the world precieves us in the furry community
Then maybe stop making excuses for your community’s degeneracy problems. Not all furries are zoophiles, but the vast majority of zoophiles are furries. Your community excuses, enables, and encourages this shit by not self policing enough. Maybe instead of sitting back and complaining about how the rest of the public views you, your community can do something about it.
They see you this way bc we know you "good furries" are lying or at least creating a safe space for cat fuckers to socially congregate, STOP..Of course those furry surveys can't be trusted. There's no way there will all truthfully answer about being a zoophile, being a furry makes you at least 5x more likely to sexually abuse animals I'd wager. Virtually every single furry turns out be a cat fucker sicko and it is not be coincidence. You would not become a furry w/o a paraphilia involving animals, or at least wanting to be one or be with someone pretending to be one. Anyone saying "not all furries" is deluded and biased. YES all furries are sickos and ppl not wanted in civil society by definition. There's a reason ppl stare.
This was a case that hit me on a more personal level. For years i was a furry denier and hater until i realized fuck it what even is this fandom and community. I join the fandom and find ots one of the most unuque and accepting communities out there, i partook in furry twitter, joined several furry sites, found a couple furry tubers and its a blast. I felt happy finally being able to accept who i am after denying myself for so many years, i know it seems so stupid but its like c s lewis's quote about loving fantasy stories and hiding it to look more adult, only to realize why should we pursue looking like such an adult. Then bam! The kero case comes smacking in showing all the anti-furs and their glory thinking furries still accepted him. I questioned if i wanted to still stay in the community after that, i went to a nearby furry convention and still had a blast and saw this fandom is still worth fighting for. Every community has a dark side filled with gross toxic fucks that make matters far worse whether you are a fan or not. Fuck these guys....
We need people who are willing to stand up for furries. Yes, I get it that we aren't perfect, but not every furry is horrible. Seeing so much villainization over the years, and the fact that it's still a problem, has been a constant frustration for me.
@@baalfgames5318 and unfortunately it'll likely continue due to well, all the keros and sapphos out there that keep being a nuisance to everyone. what i find funny is that his "new look" has similar markings from his original look on it just flipped on the x axis in some of his footage. he did a shitty job trying to run and hide.
@@LilacMonarch I would not like to see what kind of things his "faithful audience" who stuck around even knowing what he did have in their closets as well.
As a member of the furry fandom,I’ve met a ton of nice people including my closet friends. I often avoid the drama as much as possibly can and no matter how people portrayed us as cringe or whatever, the fandom is often very welcoming and LGBTQ+ friendly. Even though there’s some nsfw content and artwork within the fandom, but being a furry doesn’t require a fursuit. A lot of furries can be famous such as Noshyena for example. Many of them can go to any cons that is local or international. The thing is not all furries are zoophiles, but it’s extremely rare to find one in the fandom and ofc they often get booted from the fandom quite often.
I hear they're genuinely welcoming nice people. And they don't care who you are as long as you're not hurting anyone. That's my type of people. It doesn't really matter to me what people's bedroom choices are, they're very nice people none the Less. I am very grateful to be here and Thanks for the warm welcome! 😊
Dude amazing video and yes there are tons of videos explaining this its still very important to talk about every now and then so it doesn't get forgotten and potentially ignored in the fandom, i really love the furry fandom but it has its fair share of problemes that really aren't talked about that's why it's important to share and talk about them, again you did an amazing job on this vid keep up the great work
Yes this is true. The community has been doing better with the problems (I'm assuming I know what you're referring to) However there's still work that needs to be done
@@Its_Asteria yeah it has been better but as soon as things start to get better something always comes up and we are back two steps back like that recent interview with Fox news i don't know the name of the raccoon fur but he was trying his best to answer the questions as best as he could but of course since it was fox news doing the interview it went down hill but I'm still hoping things get better and keep getting better but only time will tell 😤
Great video as per usual clappy. In my opinion, if a zoophile calls themselves a furry, I'll disregard that. People like that don't deserve to be in our community until they've sought out help That said, I do agree with your point about like minded people perpetuating ideologies, and it isnt just exclusive to zoophilia either.
Id like to say thank you for going through the terror that is stories like this to keep us all informed. As a newer furry, i feel that i need to be edicated on these things so that i can know who to and who not to support. Zoophilia is disgusting, and if youll excuse me, im going to block "radiance"
as a retired anti furry, 24:30 - 25:04 yes this is very true we some times used to call's a furry a dog fucker but now a days we know which one is a real dog fucker eg. kero and shappo we (mostly the anti zoo) appreachate all the info and it would be nice if the anti zoos and anti furries or furries would team up to stop this discustig world or internet we live in
Honestly it should be anti zoos and anti pedos instead of anti furry. And we'd all work together as a team to deal with these people since the law apparently can't or some shit. I'm still annoyed by the statute of limitations in New York. We missed it by one day and like 2 hours I think it was, so kero didn't get charged SIMPLY because of that and it makes me so incredibly upset. Animals rights in terms of law and punishment is so horrendous. It's never taken seriously. And it's just sad.
I agree that we need to stop all zoos and MAPs alike within, it makes me feel sad when innocent people get attacked just because other people ruined it for them.
One of the only people to admit being one of these folk that seem alright and actually smart/practical, folk still in that anti-group waste their effort staying ignorant of the real dangers lurking, while generalizing most good folk. I applaud your honesty.
There is a reason people see us this way, we are cringe, we are weird... It only makes sense that people would hate us.. people hate what they don't understand. Nevertheless we do have a giant degeneracy issue, we should recognize it and fight it as opposed to ignoring it and saying "thats just a small part of the fandom." It is not.
I second this. It's a problem on how it's too normalized to cross boundaries and be so open about being degenerate in public. I've also seen a lot of misogyny and sexual harassment too. There's also like every other fandom, a problem of grooming and zoophilia. I'm happy to know that a lot of furries denounce such actions but it feels like it's just not enough because of how big the problem is.
This. I would absolutely, 100% be a scaly if all... THIS... wasn't the face of furries. I have a blood-related sibling who turned out to be a zoophile and him finding the furry community only enabled his sick behavior. He's only a minor, and as far as I'm aware he hasn't done anything to our mother's dog yet, but I know it's only a matter of time. I am fully convinced that he's going to hurt an animal someday. Furry spaces are unregulated and allow shitlords like Kero and his ilk to flourish and even be PROTECTED. It's not a minority if it's the entire thing your fandom is known for. Having people in power who are or who protect creeps like Kero is the exact reason why we don't trust furries. Sure, not all of you are degenerates, but people can and have lied. None of us can tell who is actually safe or not. It's safer and easier to avoid furries altogether.
Thank you. I’m not part of the community but the constant denial of responsibility and the refusal to self police or acknowledge the need is hard to stomach. I don’t understand furries and all I see are the deviants talked about on UA-cam, and if I know about the issues and I’m not even close to the community, then how big is it from the inside? I’m sorry you’re represented by people like Kero and Sappho. It has to be tough for that to be your public face, especially when everyone is just waiting for a reason to mock the furry community.
Thank you so much for doing this essay and bringing it back to life. I never want kero's crimes to go forgotten like many "drama" or 'cancelled' stories that come out. I hope karma gets a hold of this seriously morally disturbed person
Kero and I used to be friends. I joined his patreon around the end of 2016 and we became friends. We'd talk on telegram and twitter a bunch back in 2016-17 but once the alegations came out and everything came to light, we grew appart. (probably for the best lol.) He was always so sweet and caring but when this stuff came out I was heartbroken. Nowadays I have 0 contact with the guy and I feel like I dodged a bullet by cutting ties.
i dropped out of the fandom around 2019 so that in HS i wouldn't get bullied, and after seeing this it makes me hesitant to tell people again. and after rejoining the fandom and making my 3rd suit i question if it was worth it. but i think that we as a community need to remind ourselves that kero doesn't represent the fandom as a whole. he's a good reminder of what can happen within the fandom, and how it must be persecuted right away. educate people within and out of the community.
@@medley_menace9268if your ‘best friend’ called you a zoophile for being a furry, you might wanna seriously talk to them about it, a real best friend wouldn’t treat you this way. I hope you get better though 🫤, random internet person.
Genuinely appreciate your level headed talk on furries. The fandom can be a lovely place, but there IS issues and some people take even okay kinks too far. That shit should be called out absolutely, but not everyone is apart of the fandom for those things.
Btw I just have to say this. I think the furry fandom is a bit too welcoming. That's just my opinion. If you can change my outlook on it, then good for you.
i would not say too welcoming, bcs i feel anyone should be allowed to be in the fandom/community, until proven they are a danger to others or/and themselfs i get why u see it as too welcoming but i would not say its too welcoming but that people let a lot of things slide to times - was in the fandom for some years
@@ShipiiiwpYeah the laxness/openness around certain topics is an ongoing issue thats now painfully obvious the more i take notice of things. Being welcoming is a good thing, it's what can happen while being in the fandom that presents the most issues, especially for young furs. I've been a furry since 2012, but didnt get fully involved in talking to other furs till 2020/2021. I made my own mistakes and those have lead me to change and attempt to combat the issues this fandom has, though I obviously cant do much alone lol
Furry fandom time and again turns a blind eye to shitty people and when you get sick of their shit, they go after you and not the bad faith actors. Why people leave the fandom in droves. I have lost count of how many furry artists/musicians/youtubers I watched that turned out to be creeps and many still continue to this day.

I hate it when people think all furries are the same and they dint have a real reason to hate on furries. Just because it’s cringe or weird doesn’t mean we aren’t human or we have to be hated, we just want to be our selves and bad furries get represented since haters see a bad furry and assume all of them are the same, it makes me mad and almost all haters are little kids who don’t understand anything
At 21:55 you show a group photo and dead centre of the photo with no one around him is Khord Kitty, One of the most depraved zoo/pedophiles in the fandom
I'm not even a furry and I hate the damage that Kero did to the furry fandom. I love the fandom, they're some of the most creative and accepting people and now everyone just thinks they're dog fuckers
I have been part of the furry fandom for the last couple of years now and met some really great people. It's honestly sad how a few horrible and disgusting people like Kero overshadow the majority of the community making it all look bad to many. Remember people, a bad person is not bad because of the communities/fandoms they are in. They are just a bad person that happens to be part of specific communities, no matter what communities that happen to be (with some obvious extreme exceptions that shoudln't even deserve to be called "communities" like zoos, pedos, etc).
Know someone who I believed wss ghosting me after the leaks. He was in denial about Kero, so I believed he was mad at me for sharing the news... Well, he reached out to me, and told me the truth. That was that he had to get some help because of what it did to him, mentally, and he left thw fandom for years because of it. While he did come back, I can only imagine what hapoens when you're a long time fan of someone, you're young, and poof! You learn from a close friend that the one you're a fan of isba zoosadist, hangs around zoosadists and zoophiles, and hangs around pedos too. Cannot be easy. It was so bad I, myself, used ro associate with the greater fandom... I could not since 2018, so I could be called Wild; not in the fandom, but still just a furry. The depravity of zoophilia and pedophilia exists as a defect in the human mind; it is a paraphillic disorder; a literal defect, rooted from a need to control; their mode? Go after someone or something that cannot consent, or fight them off. Why do you think these freaks almost universally go after domestic dogs and cats? It isn't because they are any more "attractive"; it is because they are obedient, or unable to fight off the human. Simple.
the definition i use for furry is, someone who prefers anthropomorphic animal characters over humanoid characters. plus, i am an animal lover, and i grew up around lots of cats so i love cats! my favorite animal is the fox, i love their beautiful red coats and big fluffy tails. fluffy things have always been of note to me, so naturally growing up i wanted to make fluffy animal characters with huge fluffy tails, which is just something humans don't have XD
I like the conversation about the nuances of definitions and how many can be used wrong or take on a different connotation depending on ones views. A good example question of how our definitions can be flawed is this: "define a chair without including or excluding anything that isn't ever mistaken or used as a chair." It is impossible to do it without using a whole essay of words and even then, it is very likely someone could read the definition and create an object that could be in a grey area enough to be considered a chair. Words and language have their limits and some definitions are just the interpretation of those who interact with said thing they are trying to define.
The problem with the furry fandom is that it is so massive. The best way I see it is a community with lots of other communities within it. You will get bad people and "events" everyone seems to focus on and thinks that's everyone while completely disregarding the bigger picture. The bad actors needs to be put in their place while the fandom needs to come together and decided what it wants for itself.
Yeah, "furry" is such a huge umbrella covering so many people it's basically impossible. It's like fighting a hydra, you throw out one zoo and two more show up
its been a while, but i dont think clappedseal went into the depths that metokur did. the chat logs are some of the most horrific things i have ever read.
Another thing about zoophilia is that fetish does not equal real life interest. There are tons of people who fetishize talking feral animals or Pokemon in fantasy but would find the real thing gross and morally detestable. I'm wondering what the percentage of IRL vs Fantasy is in this poll, or if the purpose of the poll was even explained to the ones taking it. Philosophically a talking feral is like a space alien from another planet that can consent, and deviating from that even a little bit as Kero did starts to get morally deplorable real quick.
I think what's worse is he didn't face punishment for his crimes. I'm a Gamer and something similar (someone not facing consequences for their actions) happened in our community as well. If anything it's like Furries and Gamers might be more similar then some think. Sure there are differences but the media has overlapped. But still I remember watching a vid about Kero some years back but what is frustrating is that nothing can be done. Still thanks for the update.
Statute of limitations in new York. The time frame to charge him was late by one day to my understanding. So if the investigation had started sooner when people were reporting kero to the authorities, they likely would've charged him
Look i used to be in the furry community, its bad. Half of us are adults and the other half are kids and most of us dont let our ages become known. Brooming younger furs is so rampant i cant express the number. Ive had younger furs tell me they have accidentally dated significantly older furs because they had zero idea of their ages. Furries are sadly not a mentally stable fandom and im speaking from experience. They are outcasts looking for friends with a interest society sees as disturbing. When someone goes most of their life being hated then is suddenly accepted they can all to quickly develop feelings. Ive had people make art of my oc who developed a crush on the OC because i let people know they can freely i never cared, and i was fully aware of what that could intel im an adult and always made that clear and im married. Yet despit that they could not separate me the guy speaking VS the OC i created. Sadly sickos know this too, people like Hypnotist sappo and others. Look you shouldn't be a furry unless your 18 because of the reality people will always take advantage where they can and at least at 18 you will have some comprehensive of the activities that do happen.
You can be a furry all you want whenever you want. Forcing people to not be able to draw a sona whatever in their free time just because theyre underage is completely authoritarian. But kids shouldnt get involved in the furry fandom, or any online communities for that matter. The internet is dangerous, and kids are not prepaired for it.
@-gemberkoekje-5547 so forcing kids to not smoke cigarettes or drink alcohol is authoritarian? I'm talking about adult art here. If you think kids should about allowed to that you belong behind bars asap. With the inmates knowing your crimes.
@@drzaius8430 the problem I have is that you believe all furry art to be not safe for work. If you believe that then you should be in favor of banning half of all childrens cartoons and half of all cereal brands.
i always worry that zoosadism will lead to the same acts done to people. if that's how they see animals, how will they see other human beings? it's clearly psychopathic and shows very little empathy. serial killers like jeffrey dahmer had a fascination with dissecting animal corpses, and guess what? he did that to people. people always talk about 'psychotherapy' for people like this, and i do agree most of the time. but there are sometimes where people will never change. you'll only get effected by it if you actually want it, these people wouldn't because they don't believe they've done anything wrong, not in their heart of hearts.
Honestly, I partly or mainly blame the "We the Community don't accept zoophiles in here." claim because that claim is basically saying there is absolutely no zoophiles in the fandom, when there literally is. It's not exactly possible to get rid of a zoophilia out of what I assume is the basic definition of the furry fandom or "community" as even if we try, it won't change the fact that some will always liked certain anthropomorphic animals, and if we try to 'decide' that they can't be fans of that, it probably turns into illegal activity. lol Even the many isolated zoophiles who are friends with each other will probably share interest of anthropomorphic specific animals with each other, even offline. When we keep lying to society by saying there is zero zoophiles in it, while there are furries that are zoophiles, it just increases more trust issues. Trust problem grows. I think the better approach in this situation is to properly educate, including ditching the idea that there is only a single furry community. Not all furries are zoophiles, being a furry alone doesn't mean you will be a zoophile, that kind of stuff. We probably did this with anime, Christianity, and some more. Combating this one issue with proper education is quite frankly, the most healthiest approach in this trusting situation. Trying to get rid of something that can't really be removed (just being a furry and I guess saying one is?) and then proceeding to tell society "'WE don't accept these people in OUR fandom." feels like it contributes that one problem and seem like a waste of time. We should of never told society that all furries are 100% innocent because that creates a major false trust, thus creating a shocking feeling of distrust of the ENTIRE fandom by many. I also blame some of non-furry people for lack of education and/or purposely spreading misinformation too. Does this mean I want a dangerous person to have a large platform where offending is likely to happen because of it? Obviously not. I'm not saying Kero the Wolf should be allowed to have a large platform like that by UA-cam when he's still a threat. It's totally fine to lawfully get UA-cam to ban him. It's just that I'm addressing a specific way of handling it. I don't know if I explained best though. Also I feel like some people care about the image thing so much that all they want is Kero to just hide (how will that save animals???) when he shouldn't be around animals anywhere. Something tells me these furries don't really care about animals.
27:07 The segment on Zoophiles V Zoo sadist made me think back to LioConvory's video on Coyote Lovely where in a perfect smooth-brain move Coyote was with Mike the dog (A zoophile) with this asine thing called a "double shield" that was a Zoophiles V Zoo sadist movement. Which Lio like any reasonable adult ripped him a new one due to how stupid that Idea sounds.
Furries are not equal to therians. A furry is someone who has an interest in anthropomorphic animals, and likes to dress up as their fursonas or characters. A therian is someone who non physically identifies as an animal, due to involuntary non-human experiences. I am a therian myself, and I thought maybe I would put this here to help stop confusion between the two.
Its pretty sad that i used to know Kero and seen him at furbowls down in Pittsburgh . Dude is pretty cool in person (out of suit and in suit) but after i heard about him doing things to animals after i dropped out of the fandom at the time, just kinda lost hope.
And I think that Kero leaks had very little effect on the public perception of furry fandom. It was mostly the terminally online that were aware of it, while normies were non the wiser. Otherwise on that recent Fox news furry interview the interviewer would be asking about zoophiles in the community or maybe even about Kero in particular.
also stuff like "zoo-sadism" is absolutely unforgiveable, no matter what you may identify as, it's blatant evil serial-killer behavior and has no place in any society (that includes anthro, therian etc) - these people need to be locked up forever, if they did this to humans they'd be in prison or ended very quickly, law needs to crack down much harder on these people.. sadism is not a "kink", it's a dangerous, evil practice that needs to be stopped.
XD kero was not the only reason for furrys being seen as "animal lovers". yeah, it was a boost, but the furries in general do this a lot on their own so people already got that impression
My Brother in Christ. After watching this video, I came out with the feeling that you're trying to paint situation as people unjustly calling furries degenerates with no fault of wider community. Might be just me misunderstanding video, if so, ignore part after this. Furry community was not considered "weird" only because media, bad actors said so. Wider furry community is very accepting of any and all sexualities, tastes and practices - not pedophilia, or zoophilia, or zoosadism, although I've seen cases of you guys getting overly protective of people who clearly were deviants, just not to come out as intolerant. Let's not forget it wasn't Kero that started that reputation for community. There were stories, like Rainfurest, bunch of predators of many kinds in the community. Heck, not so long ago I've seen huge drama on Twitter, because one furry con decided to ban kink gear on the premise, and majority of comments was that said con is literally Hitler. I do believe it is good to set record straight. Not all furries are zoosadists, zoos, pedophiles, anyone who says they are is an asshat. But does community have an issue with being too damn horny and being too damn open about it? I do believe we had enough examples over the years to come to this conclusion.
Not even just rainfurrist, i think there were a few more before kero that had some serious "Not youtube friendly" problems, and no matter how hard you try or how hard you speak out against it, money talks, bullshit walks. That's the entire fandom in a nutshell.
It's a shame that the furry community is the closest thing to a socially acceptable group these monsters can be in publicly. I think people misinterpret the disproportionate amount of people like this as a product of being in the fandom rather than deliberately and maliciously utilizing an exploitable niche only vaguely related to their paraphilia.
This isn't just present with zoo, but also p*dos. They insert themselves into communities they can exploit and network in. Considering that there's significant overlap between these two parties and the non-insignificant amount of teens and kids present in the fandom... well, let's just say it's quite convenient. Ugh.
It's sad to think that the negatives of the furry community shine more than the positives all because of this situation. Despite the safe side of the furry community attempting to call out and force all Z00s and P##os out of the fandom. It only seems that the stains of Kero seep more into the community and continues to haunt the community all because of his own desires. Truly sickening.
To be fair, though, the history of the furry fandom had its start in deviance (at least for the time), mostly of the sexual nature. It wasn't until relatively recently that they were trying to clean up their image, with mixed results.
So this is one of the reasons why the fandom has so many people hating on it, man what a sick bastard. I was one of the people that would bad mouth furries but then I decided to look into the fandom myself and yes there are strange people in it but any fandom has there far share of creeps
im not a furry myself but ive always understood its appeal. plus, ive never found as cringe as many people say it is. yeah it has its problems, but so does any other major fandom
Might be for the best if your in a situation where u cant move out family's have disowned furs for "coming out" so unless its genuinely safe to do so avoid it
um... pretty sure the definition of a furry is a person that is a fan of anthropomorphic... like thats been the definition for a furry since like... the OG days...
I don't even get why we as a community try to appease some people who hate us regardless , they just look for a reason to hate the furry community its not like that changes if they don't find one then its just unreasonable hate. Furry is weird and we should embrace that weirdness instead of trying to appease the mainstream. Stuff happens , this kero thing is one of them, we can't deep check everyone who is a furry and becomes popular, it happens, its bad but nevertheless we can't change that it happened and probably can happen again. The furry community is a mirror if society since everyone in the community is human (yeah shocker right ?), there might be some statistical lows and peaks but overall people are the same. Yet i am not willing to give out my freedom of expression for some self proclaimed witch hunters trying to police the fandom in order to root out a small percentage of people and somehow try to push them out of the community, that doesn't work it just does more damage to the community. Once again its the same as in rl there are people who are jerks and people who one might not want to associate with but since the furry fandom is free for everyone it is absolutely futile to try to police it like some kind of membership based subscription, especially when trying to switching from trying to prevent real crime that already can be fought through legal means to trying to root out "thought crime", going after roleplayers or artists, dividing the community over morals in fantasy settings.
Fam I love you put this insightful retrospective of gatekeeping bad actors out of the face of the community. Then within 48 hours the Peacewolf shit happened like poetry.
When I was explaining to my mother who is a furry she took it good, we bouth watched zootopia so I had no problems with introducing her to this fandom.
I also recommend the This Is Life with Lisa Ling episode about furries. It's a more wholesome look into the fandom and how some people have adapted it as a coping mechanism or just a way to have fun. It's honestly one of the most respectable pieces of media when it comes to furries.
The thing about anti-furries using events like this as ammunition is that they know that these horrible people are not a minority. As someone who is against furries quite a bit I can tell you straight up that if you just admit that it isn't a minority but in fact a pretty big issue in the fandom, a lot less people will be against you. I respect a lot of furries but what I find is a concurring issue is that a lot of you people don't admit to the fact that quite a lot of people in your fandom do these things. It isn't a minority. If you look at a random furries deviantart or furaffinity account it is very likely you'll find furry porn on it. And that's just the sad truth. If you guys admit to this then a lot less people will see the fandom as a fetish and maybe even support you guys a little more. Your fandom is struggling a lot because of this. Now before you people start yelling at or cancelling me for saying this please take my words into consideration.
Furries are the new emos of mid-2000's where everyone hated the subculture and almost had a clash in Mexico City, if the Harekrishna group didn't calm down with the music and chants. That's why this fandom must be resilient through time and avoid any bad representation like Kero did.
The degenerates of these communities is why I make the conscious choice to not outwardly identify with them. I don't consider myself a Furry, but if you know what my profile character comes from, you know the two fandoms are often considered one in the same. Like mate, it's a cute show, the music they've made over the years is strangely really good, and if anything, it's a non-serious show that's a change of pace from the real world and other media. But the degenerates of one and both communities drive me to avoid outwardly identifying with either of them because I don't want anyone to get the wrong idea.
the person in 16:07 (the protector of all furries dude) if you mentioned anything bad about kero he would also go on your acc and just harass you non stop (happened to me when i was around the age of 13) i completely forgot about him just sad he would go out of his way to harass some random children on the internet
I love how you get into the nuance of this community. I have learned a lot comparing this community to the community that I am in that nuances is in everything.
Evil and Degeneracy exist throughout all manner of things 'Human.' That's just a sad, harsh, simple fact. I won't slander or malign an entire genre/hobby/'Fandom' based off the reprehensible behavior of such ilk.
I have been a furry since before this situation happened (by a few months lol). Its been a crazy ride since then as I feel scared of telling people that I'm a furry due to them assuming its a sexual thing (it's especially uncomfortable as I have been sexually assaulted and cat called throughout my life). Recently, I was excited about finally commissioning a fursuit and was about to tell an open-minded person about it when I was interrupted by someone who showed that person porn instead. It was quite disrespectful and it hurt a lot because I'm not into it that way and being associated with it makes me incredibly uncomfortable. Also it seems to me, people don't have common decency nowadays and I find that disheartening. Please its okay to be into it sexually but there's a time and place for it. I have a few problems with the fandom but people need to not be so quick to judge when interacting with someone that's from it. This situation has never made it any better. Also I'm surprised you mentioned Alfred Kinsey because his research isn't valid as he committed sexual abuse onto children and wanted non healthy sexual acts to be normalized (which includes beastiality). I don't think he should be someone you give credit to who's research involved such vile acts. Just sayin
Dam sorry you have to go though that but I really don't blame you if you don't want to talk about it to other people plus especially the anti furry community is spreading good information and bad information about so is best to keep it to yourself
@@Madjichen I was saying about sorry you got sexually assaulted and I don't blame you if you don't want tell people that you a furry especially the whole antifurry thing getting more contraction especially people rather hear from them even though they can say things is right or wrong
I have been a furry for over 15 years now. I have seen it all. I still openly disavow ANY zoophile, and ANY person who would target children with adult content. The fandom has been welcoming to many, but it also tend to hide a lot of wrongdoing from iits own users under the guise of "Of you're just a biggot if you don't agree with me!" I am glad to see the bad actors outed, I hope they crawl into a hole so deep they are never seen from again, but I am sad to see the good publicity we have been building up literally be shattered by one Piece of shit
I am a furry, but not a deviant sexpest, and I will continue to complain about being portrayed as such. Hopefully that didn't alienate the intended audience of this message. To be clear, I'm not looking for sympathy; I agree with you in concept. The fandom as a whole needs a good wake-up call and to start taking this much more seriously.
I can't believe the selective empathy. Where you can somehow care for you boyfriend who dies of an overdose(which...even as someone who works as a peer counsoler for recovering opiate addicts....i cant say I feel anything but relief he wont hurt more animals) but he cannot care for animals. People who care more about animals or less about animals than they care about humans have a problem that they need to fix. Animals are not moral agents such as us. Especially dogs who we bred literally to submit to us and love us and be our companion. Its tragic.
What's worse is that in the video you try to lessen the blow about furaffinity but even then you can't even excuse half of the shit on furaffinity because of that site's reputation of defending zoos and the owner himself being into certain illegal things himself.
Soap operas have nothing on the complexity and absolutely bonkers plot twists the furry fandom has to offer. And overall, the more I've learned the less i like them. There are plenty of decent and intelligent talented people among them, but the fandom as a whole is rotten, and many of them acknowledge that. I can think of several reasons--1: the cognitive dissonance of being child-friendly/appealing and welcoming of teens while being highly sexualized, 2: the few "bad apples" that furries claim the degens are being prominent and powerful influencers, artists, convention staff, and the owner of FurAffinity. And 3: the insistence in calling the furry fandom a "community" as if its an identity more than an interest, which in turn augments their defensiveness. Im glad the majority of furries condemn Kero, but I suspect it's got more to do with his damage to their reputation rather than his damage to his dog and unknown other animals. And I say that because of the many other famous furries who's degeneracy is an open secret and face little to no ostricization. "Zoophile hunters" such as Zrcarlo and Coyote Lovely have often proven to be virtue signallers who smokescreen their own abhorrent behaviors. The vast majority of the fandom lacks the maturity and moral fortitude to be worthy of the wholesome reputation it tries to project.
Im friends with many furries(maybe like 50) and only had one or two were not very nice. Maybe its because im a goth and in a few groups often exclude by society (disabled, gay etc) but i would never judge anyone on anything other than their actions and how they are as a person
furry = someone with an interest in anthropromorphic animals When you hear people say they "identify" as furries they are just a little too obsessed and it might just be a phase as normal furries only think of it as a hobby whether its drawing or fursuiting.
Another thing I noticed that would tie him to the chats of zoophilia is his shirt. One of the clips shows him wearing a shirt appearing to say "that's a gud succ" but if you look closely the g looks VERY similar to the zoophile symbol.

DO NOT SUPORT HIM.

@@GrimmDelightsDice cant stop him if he darts out and doesnt come back home. I tried finding him for a few hours before giving up for the day. My neighbor contacted me and asked if he was my cat since ive talked about them a lot and returned him to me after dropping him off to get his ear clipped. She didnt realize he was mine until after and the place she went to is apparently not the best since they didnt even scan for his chip.
I think all this hate is so awful. We all hate Zoophiles, but just as theres P*dos all over the place in society, and all kinds of communities, there are also Zoophiles unfortunately. And those people join the fandom because they thing they can get away with their shit here, which they can NOT. Being a furry is a normal hobby or a lifestyle for some. Yes it's something unusual, but so are many other hobbies, interests, even kinks or whatever. Being a furry can be sexual or not, just like it can be in ANY other interest's case.
It‘s not a normal Hobby Bro. I‘m not even hating, but you can‘t tell me someone is all there and would be elected to office or be cut out for being a CEO if they dress up like a fantasy furry character.
@Ocorydon It is not a normal Hobby. Do you think a person irl would be understanding if you explained that you have fun roleplaying As a fictional anthropomorphic animal character you came up with?
@Ocorydon What is a fursona? A representation of yourself to feel more comfortable. And no, most people wouldn‘t roleplay. Maybe the people you interact with, but that’s because people with similar interests and personalities interact. If you are shy you are going to meet and talk to shy people.
@Ocorydon Yeah, my fursona is how I like to represent myself but that makes it LESS roleplaying because it can help with expressing yourself more authentically. Just like youtubers use different avatars for example. Doesn't really matter how they look, it's the same concept. Its a persona, thus, fursona.
can I also say if you are going to "rebrand" your channel with a new character DON'T USE THE DISTINCT FURPATTERNS AND EYE COLOR AS YOUR LAST FURSONA. I know this is small but looking side by side at his old vs new sona is like watching someone dying a dogs hair and saying it's new. small potato's but It infuriated me.
16:23 interesting. I thought kitthesouless (aka Nipples the Hedgehog) disavowed kero after defending him, claiming his "innocence" after it came out he couldn't be made to stand trial after the statue of limitations kicked in, only for him to break cntact after Kero's own response video was lacking in anything that could prove his innocence. If they are back together...
My first experience with furries was in middle school 2005-2007. One of my friends told me he was. But he first preference it with he was into beastialy (sp?) He would describe what he'd watch and do. I know that isn't everyone in the furry community, and most aren't. It's just hard to get rid of that first impression. Also at the same time I did watch the 1000 ways to die and csi also had furries that depicted it as a sex thing.
I forced myself to forget that Kero existed. He "rebranded" his channel as Radiance Wolf. But this man really messed up and riled up the entire fandom. Many of us furries do not claim him. What he has done is unforgivable and he should have been in jail by now. I don't want to think of the disgusting things he's doing to these animals now off camera. People like him are why others would wanna be executioners.
I just lost all hope in imagining that the furry fandom isn't mostly degenerative when I found out that there are over 100 nsfw subreddits on reddit. Also joined a furry server and within days someone randomly messaged be asking to "erotic roleplay" with them. I just genuinely think that pretty much 30% of the community is involved with nsfw in some way or form. Makes me not wanna be one really.
@@norikofu509 I really hate to just force my way in, but that simply isn't accurate. The fandom started as a small party between a group of fans and content creators that worked on (animation, drawing, writing, etc.) anthropomorphic animals. Somehow or other the gatherings got the name "Furry Parties" and expanded to entire conventions. This is where your point about the sexual taboos come in. While it is important to note that they were not the founders, the fandom was very quickly joined by those who sexualised the idea. In my personal opinion the founders were far too lax on regulations, which allowed the sexualisation of anthropomorphic animals to grow very quickly. TL;DR the fandom was not founded as a sexual/taboo thing. It was just a fandom, the same way we have a fandom for those who like Marvel or DC movies. There is an unfortunate amount of sexual nature in the fandom, but more reasonable furries (yours truly) avoid that kind of furry as best one can.
I wouldn't go so far as to say mostly degenerative, but there are problems that run a lot deeper than many other furries wold let on. Speaking as a furry I'd agree wholeheartedly with 30% (or thereabouts), which is honestly sad. As for the nsfw subreddits, it's the internet. Those will always be here, detestable as they may be. Unfortunately there isn't a lot we can do about the number of people who are in the fandom for sexual reasons, simply because of the sheer number of people in it. That said, neither I nor any furries I know support the sexualising of anthropomorphic animals in any way. Definitely not the solicitation you talked about, that's frankly beyond disgusting.
And then they silently return to the communities to try to rebrand
good to know im not the only one that noticed that.
if he actually was trying to hide away from his bad reputation
then he should've used a completely different avatar without any of the same details as the old one.
but why would someone that's dumb enough to even precipitate in zoo activities
would have any brain power to come up with a completely new avatar design?

It still persist through the fandom though. We can see the same denial behaviors and obfuscation with Sappho. He was living with his parents for a bit while doing a lot of this sick shit. He claims that his parents and himself where compiling with police and where willing to hand over evidence. That was a complete lie. Whether or not Kero planned it or not him not working with the police caused the charges to be dropped due to the stature of limitations.

@@Madjichen this fandom breeds degeneracy, its just the nature of it.. we don't gotta like it but we do have to deal with it.
This. I would absolutely, 100% be a scaly if all... THIS... wasn't the face of furries.
I think what defines a furry is liking anthro art of animals.
That's about it, really. Nothing more, nothing less.
The definition ive come to view as most accurate is someone who has an interest in the concept of anthropomorphic animals
At 21:55 you show a group photo and dead centre of the photo with no one around him is Khord Kitty, One of the most depraved zoo/pedophiles in the fandom
No one is around him because he reportedly smelled like sweat and rotting flesh

Mad respect for listing all the sources. Good way to guarantee anyone having a VERY hard time to rebut it.
Yea that shiro guy always replies to stuff on kero’s stuff. More than likely kero himself.
Simple.
People like kero are why I got uncomfortable with and eventually left the fandom
I’ve heard this tale retold countless times and yet each time i hear it again it somehow makes me feel more sick each time
the definition i use for furry is, someone who prefers anthropomorphic animal characters over humanoid characters. plus, i am an animal lover, and i grew up around lots of cats so i love cats! my favorite animal is the fox, i love their beautiful red coats and big fluffy tails. fluffy things have always been of note to me, so naturally growing up i wanted to make fluffy animal characters with huge fluffy tails, which is just something humans don't have XD
I love the variety animals have in terms of shape language compared to humans. It's just more fun to draw
I like the conversation about the nuances of definitions and how many can be used wrong or take on a different connotation depending on ones views. A good example question of how our definitions can be flawed is this:
"define a chair without including or excluding anything that isn't ever mistaken or used as a chair."
It is impossible to do it without using a whole essay of words and even then, it is very likely someone could read the definition and create an object that could be in a grey area enough to be considered a chair.
Still thanks for the update.
wait how the hell was he not locked up! God. Damnit.

It's not exactly possible to get rid of a zoophilia out of what I assume is the basic definition of the furry fandom or "community" as even if we try, it won't change the fact that some will always liked certain anthropomorphic animals, and if we try to 'decide' that they can't be fans of that, it probably turns into illegal activity. lol
Even the many isolated zoophiles who are friends with each other will probably share interest of anthropomorphic specific animals with each other, even offline.
Otherwise on that recent Fox news furry interview the interviewer would be asking about zoophiles in the community or maybe even about Kero in particular.
also stuff like "zoo-sadism" is absolutely unforgiveable, no matter what you may identify as, it's blatant evil serial-killer behavior and has no place in any society (that includes anthro, therian etc) - these people need to be locked up forever, if they did this to humans they'd be in prison or ended very quickly, law needs to crack down much harder on these people.. sadism is not a "kink", it's a dangerous, evil practice that needs to be stopped.
u made the one of the best summary about kero and zooohile things i ever heard
Ugh.
Your fursona is absolutely adorable. Even moreso when juxtaposed with kero's incredibly terrible design lol

I respect a lot of furries but what I find is a concurring issue is that a lot of you people don't admit to the fact that quite a lot of people in your fandom do these things. It isn't a minority.
I am glad to see the bad actors outed, I hope they crawl into a hole so deep they are never seen from again, but I am sad to see the good publicity we have been building up literally be shattered by one Piece of shit
Ive never really personally see bad shit in the fandom since the half decade ive been in it.
A furry is somebody who wears and possibly builds animal-themed cosplay gear. I was building and wearing fursuits before I was aware they had a name.
see, if the same furries complaining about being shown as deviant sexpests weren't usually deviant sexpests, I might feel some sympathy for them...
i mean theres gotta be one whos not like the rest at least one
The vast majority of the fandom lacks the maturity and moral fortitude to be worthy of the wholesome reputation it tries to project.
imaging making a furry soap opera
This video genuinely made me want to cry, those poor animals. This is disgusting.
Im friends with many furries(maybe like 50) and only had one or two were not very nice. Maybe its because im a goth and in a few groups often exclude by society (disabled, gay etc) but i would never judge anyone on anything other than their actions and how they are as a person
furry = someone with an interest in anthropromorphic animals
When you hear people say they "identify" as furries they are just a little too obsessed and it might just be a phase as normal furries only think of it as a hobby whether its drawing or fursuiting.
Another thing I noticed that would tie him to the chats of zoophilia is his shirt. One of the clips shows him wearing a shirt appearing to say "that's a gud succ" but if you look closely the g looks VERY similar to the zoophile symbol.
16:26 I know Kit... He is not someone you wanna be around. dude treats his "friends" like a cult or "family". I know cus I worked with him and he tried to get me to ditch all my frinds and called me his brother after finding out I had a YT channel at the time.
I REGRET EVER KNOWING HIM. DO NOT WORK WITH HIM. DO NOT SUPORT HIM.
I have 4 cats and 2 dogs, all fixed and chipped. One of my cats got caught in a trap and got his ear clipped, I was so upset. If i found out someone was doing things like .....that to any animal, its straight hands.
Maybe don't let your cats outside then????? Wth
I listen to these videos while drawing but this time I'm just sitting with my mouth open from shock while drawing, what the hell
We are so sorry, keep your head up
I think all this hate is so awful.
@@quaygrass6212 Well one of the first furries ever is a doctor I believe xD so it indeed is just a hobby for people
@Ocorydon It is not a normal Hobby.
The Kinsey report came out in 1948. I would love to see a newer version of it. It would be so much easier with the use of the internet.
"Nipples the Hedgehog" 💀
How dare he defile the word radiance. Meaning bright or holy light. A dark creature such as this shares no brightness.
the fact hes trying to come back is just sad
My first experience with furries was in middle school 2005-2007. One of my friends told me he was. But he first preference it with he was into beastialy (sp?) He would describe what he'd watch and do. I know that isn't everyone in the furry community, and most aren't. It's just hard to get rid of that first impression. Also at the same time I did watch the 1000 ways to die and csi also had furries that depicted it as a sex thing.
clap can i just say your character is adorable
You know the entierity of the furry fandom started as a Sexual/Taboo thing right? Don't be that surprise even the "OGs" of the fandom were like that
@@norikofu509 I really hate to just force my way in, but that simply isn't accurate.
TL;DR
the fandom was not founded as a sexual/taboo thing.
@@syitgrath7261 I actually know that, i saw a "documentary" and it mentioned exactly that, just for a few years after that become truly a sexual thing
@@norikofu509 The fact that I'm not dead and still afurry testifies that it isn't all sexual, even if there are many members who embrace that aspect.
