Great advise.
When I was a teenager in the 90's (pre cell phones, etc...), my dad gave me a lot of freedom. I could tell him that I was going out with my friends and I'd be back in 4 days at 3:00, and he'd be fine with it. But if I got back at 3:01, I'd be in deep shit. I always thought it was weird that he was so strict about that one thing; but as I've grown up I've figured out that the people who are actually worth waiting for are the ones that you don't have to wait for. They have the respect for what their doing, and the people their doing it with, to do what it takes to show up on-time; or show up a little early and help set up :)
Sometimes the simplicity of words spoken by someone who is experienced battle, actually addresses life on so many different levels that can’t be explained unless once experienced it themselves. In every aspect of our life plus or 30 or not at all is not just a statement of performance; it’s literally a philosophy for living life and applies to many aspects of the human condition.
