Finn, you talked about lacking (or maybe looking for) inspiration in your last vid. But honestly man you did a great job with this, your pacing and easy-going talks are more valuable than you know. So excited to see something pop up on this channel, super stress relieving to watch this.

I don't understand why so many ASMR artists are so hard on themselves, I feel that some believe there viewers want perfection, but I think those "imperfections" stimulate my relaxation. I think you're voice is enough, that's why I love you're videos. Great work 😁

As it happens, the reason I actually subscribed in the first place was because I really liked your magic unboxing videos! I particularly like listening to your descriptions of the cards as you go through (even if it's just lamenting the terrible mythics), since it kind of helps me figure out which cards I could work into my own deck!
ASMR + MtG tips = awesome video :D

Great video finngamer. I myself also started with mtg in 1993/1994, at the end of beta and sold/traded away my collection in the early 2000'. Havent opened a booster in 10 years or so, but its great to see pack openings, new or old. There is a certain nostalgia to see somebody open an alpha/beta/unlimited/legends booster and knowing " i have opened hundreds of em, back in the day". Looking forward to your next video.

Hahaha. I had this on while having a cup of tea and my dogs eyes were closed and he was falling asleep. I paused to check a message on my phone and my dog opened his eyes and looked at me as if I had ruined his relaxing. ;p The second your voice was gone he looked annoyed haha.

Was really excited when DTK came out, half because the set is awesome, and half because it gave me this to look forward to. I've been playing competitively since Return to Ravnica, and absolutely love the game. Keep up the sweet videos, your voice and the way you say card names is just awesome.

Mrmetalbrigade I fear my booster pack opening days are behind me (came to my senses, lol), but I'll probably do some card sorting/commentary still.

I was late to the magic party. Had plenty of opportunity to start playing in the 90s, but only started playing a few years ago. We have a play group that tries to play EDH once a week, and I'll occasionally go to FNM to get beat up by all the high dollar net decks. Thanks for the upload!

finngamerASMR I'm glad to see you doing more ASMR videos, man. I thought you were retiring or going to 1 video every 2 months after what you said in your last vlog on your ASMR channel. Glad to see you back. I enjoy your ASMR videos.

I was wondering when I would see the Booster Box Opening on either of your channels :P I am way more keen on this set than the previous. I thought Fate Reforged was pretty awful overall. Here we at least get some cards that are beneficial to something other than Dragons... Manifest struck me as a horrible ability, so it's nice to see something like Exploit or Formidable being more applicable to my own decks...

I have now play magic three month and i have just enjoyd it. I play almost everyday when i see me fellows who too enjoy magic and other collettible card games. Magic is just awesome i think, but money is problem. Not big problem but is it. Monday i got my first fat pack and made my first own deck, red and green atarka/dragon deck. I got Shaman of Forgotten Ways on my fat pack and i think that is some grazy card. Sorry about my typos. I really enjoyd watch this video. Please make more this kind of Magic Of The Gathering unboxing videos. So much fun watch and this help know different cards better someway.

I have seen you open a lot of magic boxes... you seem to have bad luck with the mythics

    • @finngamerASMR

Hunter of the North Eh, I once opened a (clearly mispackaged) New Phyrexia fat pack, that contained five mythics out of nine boosters. Not only that, they were the best mythics of the set: 2 Karns, 2 Phyrexian Obliterators and 1 Batterskull. It was crazy, I must have used up all my good luck then. :D

I'm the definition of a casual player but I once stumbled onto an amazing combo on accident. Had a vampire deck, used the Triskeleon artifact creature forever, got a pair of Mephidross Vampire and my friends wouldn't play me anymore. lol

hey Finn! love your videos, and I grew up around people who played magic, but I never did. I think it's really interesting and I'd love if you did a video on either channel explaining the game a bit! Just a suggestion of course I'll watch anything you put out :)

Best card I ever got was in a booster pack of revised got a shivan dragon. I was so happy and excited I screamed in the store and ran up to tell my mom who had no idea what the hell I was talking about.
Best trade ever was I traded some kid like 4 elvis fortresses from fallen empires for a card from legends it was like a huge creature I forget what the hell it was called.

This is really off-topic here, but for future reference could you do another sauna heating video.. maybe a tutorial even with talking included?
I find it extremely relaxing and I think it would be really interesting for non-Finnish people aswell. Thanks for your vids.

Be patient with all of the rules and effects that have been released, often times people have pretty ridiculous combos in their decks that seem pretty wack and cheap, but most times they are made precisely... It's good to have a group of close friends to just play casually with while learning, who won't rush you during your turn or freak out too much if you play a card wrong, etc...

if all you wanted was really just to get a decent game, then why don't you just share out your cards to the players, each gets a certain amount of mythics and rares, and then you can have a level game.. if you just keep your own cards to yourself, and no one else you know is spending as much on it, then you're never gonna get an even game..

    • @finngamerASMR
      @finngamerASMR  9 років тому

shenmueso Duh, I'd gladly loan out any deck I have. But even when people are not that invested in the game, they still want to use their OWN decks. It's part of the charm. One thing I have done is to make so many decks that I simply can't have all the best cards in all decks. It evens things out and is a more fun deckbuilding challenge for me.

    • @shenmeowzo

i wasn't meaning to be offensive, no need for the 'duh'.. i don't play these games so have no experience, sorry if i said somethin stupid.
