ACTIVE: Akshan locks onto the target enemy champion and begins Channeling icon channeling for 2.5 seconds, True Sight icon revealing them as well as Sight icon revealing himself. He gradually stores bullets into his weapon over the duration. Comeuppance will recast after the duration, or can recast early after 0.5 seconds. Comeuppance is placed on a Cooldown icon 5-second cooldown if the channel is cancelled. RECAST: Akshan fires all stored bullets at the target, each briefly granting Sight icon sight around their trajectory and dealing physical damage to the first enemy hit, increased by 0% − 300% (based on target's missing health). The shots can hit structures. Each bullet's damage applies Life steal icon life steal at 100% effectiveness, and Death from Below executes Minion icon minions. Akshan can move while channeling Comeuppance.

The first kill miss wasn’t an Akshan bug. If you’re fast enough in between shots you can manually change the target of the second passive auto. After the first auto went off, Druttut moved his mouse and clicked on a minion which made him auto the minion as a second target.
The QoL mechanic does work like he said, but it always auto acquires the target nearest to Akshan. The minion Akshan hit wasn’t the one closest to him.
