  • Snorkeling at Shark's Cove (Oahu, Hawaii) using my AKASO V50 Pro action camera. The quality was surprisingly good! It wasn't a very sunny day and the water was cloudy but I got some nice shots.

    Seams that Akaso shows blue color of sea. My old GoPro Hero2 had green.

    were you able to use the touch screen when using the waterproof casing?

    • @loveseatalacarte8158
      @loveseatalacarte8158  4 роки тому

      Unfortunately you cannot use the touch screen in the waterproof case. You need to use the buttons but it's very hard to navigate. I applied all the settings before putting it in the case so I only need to turn the camera on/off.

    Hi what do you finally think about the quality of the videos of this caméra? Did you film in 2.7k toi? Was it good? Thanks for the answer

    • @loveseatalacarte8158
      @loveseatalacarte8158  5 років тому

      Hi Trevor bojak, This is my first action camera so I have nothing to compare to, but with that said I enjoyed all my videos. If you fine tune the settings per situation I got the quality I liked. I watched a few YT videos that compared this camera side by side with GoPro and was convinced. I used the 4K but the size is not much different than with 2.7K so may not be true 4K.

    Thank you for uploading the video. Really nice video. I'm planning to buy V50 pro for my upcoming outdoor and snorkeling trip. Can you please give me some idea that how video footage I can capture with 64gb sd card capacity. And how long the battery lasts with full charge.

    • @loveseatalacarte8158
      @loveseatalacarte8158  5 років тому +1

      Thank you for the comment! It fluctuates but with the highest quality setting I get about 1.5 hrs of battery life and about 2 hrs of footage on a 64gb card. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

    Did you use the underwater setting?

    • @loveseatalacarte8158
      @loveseatalacarte8158  5 років тому +2

      Sorry for the late reply. Yes I did use the Underwater setting. I tried both and underwater worked better for me.

      Loveseat a La Carte what difference does the underwater setting make? Haven’t used it. Does it make it smoother? My snorkeling shots on the v50 pro were pretty shaky

    • @loveseatalacarte8158

      Hi Jennifer, I never tried without the underwater mode but according to the manual it compensates for lack of red light in water. I will try both settings in a pool the next chance I get.

      @@MeganMarieT The "skakiness" can be cancelled by the EIS (electronical stabilization) which is available for 4K30FPS (but not 4K60FPS). You should indeed definitely use it when underwater.

      Alexandre T. Yeah I was using the stabilization in camera. I was shooting in 1080p though

      Hi armando amigoni, I use it mainly for video since the photo quality on my iPhone (12MP) looks much better.

    How do you export your videos to the pc?

    • @loveseatalacarte8158
      @loveseatalacarte8158  5 років тому +2

      I have a Micro SD slot on my laptop so I copied the video file from the SD using Windows Explorer. Afterwards used the free version of NCH Videopad to edit my video.

    Can you compare it to the akaso v50 elite? Which do you think is better in underwater footage?
    And if ever you can compare the akaso v50 elite and hawkeye firefly 8se in underwater footage. Thanks

    • @loveseatalacarte8158
      @loveseatalacarte8158  5 років тому

      Thank you for the comment! Sorry I don’t have the v50 elite so I can’t compare them. There are some nice Pro vs Elite reviews from other UA-camrs, although not underwater. If I run across a friend that has these models I’ll definitely post a review.

      I don’t have the Firefly 8se either but definitely would ask around. Looking at some online reviews looks like Akaso is the winner by a little.
