Yeah but Dingus Dingerson could do both with ease, nothing is hard for that beast.
I find baseball to be harder, could be bias but I think that baseball is pretty physically challenging, always moving, and must keep focus.
Basketball is harder to get in because there's very limited spots
@@nickpeitchev7763while that is true that doesn’t mean it is a harder sport, it just means you don’t need as many people
@LucidityGD I really hope you're joking..... baseball is literally 90% standing around in a field or in the pen. Players literally eat ice cream.
basketball requires constant running back and forth, so stamina
@@AndrewJensen-dx1bptraining stamina is easy. It’s hard but it’s easy. Learning hitting, pitching, fielding, throwing mechanics is way harder than training stamina. It is just as explosive for example a rocket hit to third base and that third basemen has to dive for that ball, stop it, get up and make a throw over 100 feet accurately in little time.
@@colinbrown6023 baseball players hardly ever run.....
Good points of view.
In my opinion If we talk only about sport without talking about the leagues (NBA or MLB), baseball is more difficult because it has more rules, more variables, more players and more ways to score or avoid scoring, in short it is more complex. A person who does not know any sport would understand more quickly playing basketball instead of baseball. Although playing well and reaching the highest level in both sports I would say that it is equally difficult, you have to be an elite athlete to be an average player and a prodigy to be a superstar.
The reaction speed needed to hit a MLB fastball is insane.
Gaming is about the same n needed way more consistent
@@edgarstone436hell no it aint
@@Drewdoylee reaction time needed to hit a 90mph fast ball .45 ms average gamer reaction time pro gamers average .2 and the elite go below .12ms f1 drivers are around the same which is why they made the movie grand turismo
@@edgarstone436 basic logic tells me that any gamer could not hit a 100 mph baseball
@@Drewdoylee😭
the answer is ice hockey
It's great to see people still using videos us (Tennessee) when we were ranked number 1, and maybe the best record in ncaa baseball history.
GBO
Heres one thing I think you didn't consider. where drafted players start, A first round pick from college in the NBA will start in the NBA a good amount of the time. In MLB? The first overall pick is in AA right now and historically some of the best players of all time still had to play through the minor league's before they even cracked the majors. it takes so much more practice to be even be the bare minimum MLB player.
Jarodactyl da GOAT 🐐
There's only one way to find out: Try to win NBA MVP with Dingus Dingerson and compare it to his MLB MVP journey
Clearly not. let's use MJ as a direct comparison. He was the GOAT of bas(e)ketball for a while, at the height of his powers he went and tried to play in the MLB, but couldn't make it out of the miners. Clearly because of this Basketball is easier than Baseball. QED.
/s/j
Well then you can make the same case for an mlb player not making it in the NBA. Getting into the NBA is even harder since there's fewer players on the court
How many baseball players have transitioned to the NBA?
I think you also missed how much of the physical endurance is another thing. In baseball you gotta go out there every day for almost an entire year, while basketballs schedule is a lot more relaxed, but then you can also argue that baseball games are a lot less stressful on the body than basketball games
But aren't baseball games only 162 games a year, that's barely over a third of the year not almost the entire year?
As someone who’s played both baseball is harder
Baseball athletes can go into almost any other ball sport and be competent and competitive.
I would argue that's not true, some baseball athletes don't have the Body, speed, stamina of a football athlete. Maybe they could try tennis, but that includes stamina. You also need to be tall and have stamina to have a chance at basketball
Catcher is the hardest position in sports.
Physical demanding maybe harder no
Basketball is more taxing physically.
Baseball is more difficult to make a comeback in. There's no turnover for baseball so they can score quicker. You just hope your pitcher can record 3 outs.
Honestly depends on what you consider "hard." If you find more physically demanding work harder, then it would probably go to basketball just cuz of the cardio and they actually do push and bump each other around for position on the court. Not to mention, you kinda have to be lucky genetically to even really have a solid chance in basketball. But baseball, while it may not have as much cardio and physicality, the hand eye coordination and agility it takes to hit, field or even pitch is next level. However there is no like "body type" for baseball. You can be fat, throw gas and hit tanks like bartolo or you can be skinny and quick like ricky henderson and anywhere in between.
I'll probably say baseball is harder just cuz the way you score points seems harder than it does in basketball. However i dont think theres a wrong answer to this question. It just depends on how you judge it.
If I was 20 feet I’ll be in the nba
6:48 for the answer
Played both, mainly basketball. And found basketball WAYYY easier.
Why? Because I couldn't put the bat on the baseball😭😭
yes jarod
No, I’ve played both, and baseball is much harder, I’m ok at basketball and it is easier to score, baseball you mess up, you get destroyed. Anyone try hitting a baseball over 80 mph without practice and let me know how easy it is, try pitching without any practice. Now Try making a 3 pointer without any practice, or a close shot, blocking, bouncing the ball, I can tell you that it is WAY easier to make a 3 point shot than hitting that 80+ mph baseball, or pitching accurately and fast.
good video dude
You can't practice baseball by yourself or automatically be considered a player if you're over 7 feet. On the other hand, you dont have to be an athlete to play baseball or in shape. Apples an oranges
great point
So watching the playoffs this year I had a thought with all of these steals. Could a pitcher technically finish a game after throwing zero pitches by only throwing out baserunners?
There would be no base runners.
@@NandoNotCool you can intentionally walk without throwing a pitch
Oh then yeah I forgot about that then yea you could technically throw zero pitches.
You should make a dingus swisherson, a 25 ovr nba 2k player and try to win mvp.
Good day when we get an upload
No
I haven’t watched the video yet but I think it’s beaseball but the real question is which sport is harder hockey or baseball? I can’t decide somone helo
Average pro baseball pitch which is 90 mph about gives you 150 milliseconds to decide to swing so baseball is probably significantly harder 😅
The answer is no.
Okay I’m editing this now. Basketball is physically demanding in strength and endurance
Baseball is physically demanding in reaction and speed as well as mentally demanding
the dingus bros could do both with ease no doubt
Lord no
wow love it go eagles
How can it be ? Bo Jackson sucked in baseball, so did Deion sanders, Jordan, Danny ainge, though he may have been the best…
Wsg lads
Basketball is more physically demanding of course. Baseball skill wise is significantly more demanding. It takes more years to be great at baseball than basketball. Baseball is more technical and takes more years to get good. There isnt a pro-baseball player who took up baseball at 18 and made it to the MLB. If you get a super athlete like Giannis or Erling Haaland to pick up baseball at 18 and have them train hard they wouldnt even make the Taiwanese or Mexican pro-league. In NBA while its not super common its not that rare either. Hakeem Olajuwan was 18 and Dikembe Motombo was already 20 when they started playing, not only that Hakeem despite starting at a later age he became a HOFer and considered one of the most skilled centers of all-time. That Dutch guy for the Pacers like it said in the video didnt start basketball until 22. Your as likely to find a camel with wings than you are to find a MLB player who started baseball at 18.
yea no
yeahhh no
I mean can we all agree that a hole in one is the hardest thing to do in sports?
gotta be some weird ass sport with something insane but a hole in one is a great answer
prolly not
Baseball players
" baseball harder"
Why?
Cause the pitcher throws at 90mph 🤦♂️
Man in baseball every player has a role in basketball yes they do but all have to guard score drible rebound and run
Even if u fat u can play baseball and be a hitter or something in basketball if u arent a freak or tall u have to be good or u cooked and fat people cant play a quarter 🤷♂️
basketball also requires super quick high energy bursts along with the constant energy required. Way way more physically demanding in every way than baseball. Also old men dont play baseball because it cant be shrunk down and requires a massive field lol.
one would say hockey.....
Jarodactyl pin me! Also this is a awesome video and idea
