  • Twice my family and I have rented a motorhome from Cruise America with excellent results. And on our last trip we stopped at MOTORHOMES of TEXAS and decided we needed a Foretravel Coach for our next trip. So we have purchased a U295 and the adventure is about to begin with plans to visit the Florida Keys this winter.

I've got the same headlight conversion on my U320. Stupid set up, crawl under to adjust. Be careful ,air up, block it ,air down check it. Repeat until it's aimed good. Big PIA. Watch out, they get rip roaring hot.

This is a Foretravel with the fiberglass siding but not full-body paint. I am considering a similar one, but was wondering how well can it be washed and how well does it clean up outside ?

I have a telescoping pole with soft brissel brush and a bucket. I bought some Zap at Lowes and it cleans up very well. Or maybe it's called ZEP.

@@rvlostagain6137 Thanks for sharing. So, I am curious, how has been your overall experience with this older Foretravel coach? Would you buy is again? Can you recommend it?

I would diffently do it again. As I watch the UA-cam videos, I find my 20 year old coach has innovations several are adding to their new RVs. It's solid as a rock, and like any RV there is always something to tinker with. Forrtravel was and is head and shoulders above the competition.

@@rvlostagain6137 Great to hear. Thanks for your feedback. The one I am thinking about is a 1998 Foretravel U270 (no slide model).

Ours is 1999 U295 . We didn't want any slides, I was fearful of what a slide would do in a rollover accident. We don't plan on living in it, just wanted something to travel around the U.S and share what America has to offer. The kids can use the bathroom without stopping and the wife could make me a sandwich on the go. We have a washing machine and the wife can do laundry while we're moving. She's a Happy Camper.

It's a 1999 U295 with 50,000 miles on the odometer. We wanted a Diesel Pusher without "Slide-Outs" and this filled our needs exactly. Motorhomes of Texas and Foretravel are head & shoulders above the competition and we had several upgrade performed in their shop before we took delivery. Now the wife is "Building Her Mobile Nest" and chomping at the bit to hit the road.

@@rvlostagain6137 What about getting carpets taking out and new floors put in? That baby would look beautiful, well that baby is beautiful, it would just be a tad more beautiful. lol. I'm so happy for you and your lovely wife. I hope you and your family have a healthy and prosperous 2022 and beyond.
