    I have been struggling with 50/50s on ledges for a while now. I always wondered how I was supposed to place my weight! Thank you so much for another awesome tutorial :)

      Yes balance it the hardest but the better the balance the easier it is.

    I’ve been wanting to practice front side 50-50s. I’m left foot dominate but I prefer my left foot in front. I wonder if it would help if I practiced with my dom foot in the back 🤔
    Thanks for sharing!

      I heard of quite a few people who have their dominate foot at the front. I would try and first balance on your dominate foot and then look to place your other foot. So the same technique but switch the back to the front foot. It might be easier than switching dominate foot?

    I really love your tutorials they are always so well explained and clear!☺ I was trying to get more into my ledge grinds and I found your balance and skate placment tips super helpful. However, when I was trying to get grinding my kingpin kept getting stuck on the ledge almost making me fall and also making a horrible screeching sound. Has something like this ever happened to you, or do you know what I could try to make that stop?
    Some ideas I had what could cause it is the ledge not being waxed enough or my slide blocks being too small.

    • @ShortysSkateSeries
      @ShortysSkateSeries  5 місяців тому +1

      Do you have grind trucks on? If you do wax the ledge it will help the kingpin glide over, but you don't really want your kingpin to be hitting the ledge or coping as it can get damaged and hard to change out your trucks later on.

      @@ShortysSkateSeries Thank you so much for answering!😊
      Actually, I don't know. I have the original trucks of my skates on there (Powerdyne Thrust). I will look into that a little further. Do you have any recommendations for grind trucks?
      I also thought that maybe my slideblocks are too small as the kingpin still sticks out at the bottom.

    Hi! Love your videos thx!! I have a 2.5 truck and I don’t know if use smaller conical inside edge wheels or flat rollerskates wheels but bigger :( any recommendation? I’ve been having bite problems

    • @ShortysSkateSeries
      @ShortysSkateSeries  Рік тому +1

      So smaller wheels will help as it means the angle at which your grind trucks balance on the corner is lower than if you use bigger wheels. Also a rounder inner wheel edge will roll better at an angle then a straight edge wheel

    Hi! Looks so cool) Do you grind on axels? Or on grind block? Can't see it properly on video.

      In this video on axles. I have the Bont 2.3" grind trucks

    Do i need to have wide trucks for this? I wanna get into it but everybody saying i gotta upgrade

      So depending on if your block is low enough you might not need them to do the trick. On narrow trucks you will be rolling on the wheels and probably sliding along on your block not 'grinding' on your trucks. Also on narrow trucks you have to be more accurate in landing.
      Here is a clip on me 'grinding' with narrow trucks. ua-cam.com/users/shortsmA2IIME-TQQ?si=4RPwkNaskEgPoG2Y

      I didn’t add wax but there was a bit on wax on there.
