No surprise that natural baits still outfish modern bait as long as you're prepared for a few so called nuisance fish. Baits used 50 years ago still work what was true then is true now. Its also no surprise judging by some comments people who have never fished without boilies and buzzers. Going straight into carp fishing is fine but not starting young catching what you can with what's available makes you miss out on some vital basics. Never ignore old old school baits or how they are used by pleasure and matchmen because lessons can be learned both ways. Top top video lads.

I still use fresh mole hill soil as ground bait on the rivers no idea why it works but it does. Not so true on lakes for some reason but barbel seem to be drawn to it.

M Lake - worms are a game changer if nuisance fish are not an issue. They can most defo switch the fish on when other methods won't. I add worm casts to my mix. Top video again Mark.

I feel a heavier tackled tench style helicopter feeder worm rig using 2mm bloodworm micro pellets/chopped worm mix is calling. Love the use of the boyant casters as stops thanks for posting.

The mighty worms never fail. I use them all year round usually with maggots on a clip, not just for carp but big perch love em! Cheaper than overated boiles and far healthier for the fish natural with always win! Get on the worms the bigger the better!

Never used worms will do next time as I have a compost bin in my garden full of them, so free bait as well cheers mark tight lines
