Prophete is bankrupt now and spare part can be an issue. Regardless who will buy it usually without the warranty implications but: If you had bought it from LIDL then you are safe cause LIDL has to fullfill the warranty cause you have made a contract with LIDL. So it is a good bike for sure for that price but be prepared to sell it before warranty is over cause things can only go downhill if the warranty is over which I write from the experience of german e-bike manufacturer who went bankrupt 2 times in a row and then ceased. I had bought a grace easy for pretty much the same price back then and the warranty was over after the company had ceased. Spare parts have become an issue over time cause the full drive train is what ? a canadian from bionic which in 2018 went bankrupt too. So your core issue might become the drivetrain too which looks like a Blaupunkt which I am not familiar with cause Blaupunkt had also gone bankrupt and the brand has sold to different owners for productgroups like car radios and so on. So Blaupunkt might be now still in business with the drive train but who knows how long. Maybe it is also a second bosch brand but try to find out. The usual battery warranty is 6 months only and then you might consider to repower it if it breaks cause after 6 months it gets pretty expesinve unless you search on the web for a shop that can replace the cells as a whole usually and uppower them with cells of bigger capacity mostly Samsung 35 E which is a 3500 mAh cell. Quite expensive nowadays or roughly 3 times what it has been in 2019 when I had to do the same. The shop will open the battery carefully which is quite tough and check if the cells and / or bms is dead and the battery replacement is about 500€ alone. That is why I am telling you to consider to flip the bike in 2,5 years or summer 2025 cause if the battery will dy you will have to pay the 500€ and more. Better to flip it as it is for 700€ in 2 years and then you had fun for 150€ each year but no risk. It all depends how you will use it. But from my experience avoid to go too much offroad cause the bills for repairs of ebike will be higher per se even for rims that have nothing to do with the drive train. Shop owner simply take more for everything. The wear and tear of such bike increases due to amount of weight and Prophete is not famous for the quality of its parts. Just the usual stuff. You had not paid too much or made a bargain cause I had seen the offers in the sales weeks in November, but be aware to flip it before waranty is over usually 3 years. But check your lidl purchase site out cause they had offered bikes with different warranties: usually 3 years but I can remember that they also had some e-bike with 2 years only. The lighter e-bikes like mine with a battery integrated into the frame are about 20 kg so 25 kg is not that bad, but of cause you have to put in more power in case you have to ride without and then it really hurts to reach the top of the hill again. Had to ride a few times without cause I had spent too much juice before and mine can make up 45 km/h which is nice but comes at the price of low range. Be aware that the older the battery gets and the more cycles you had charged the steeper the battery curve will become which means that the battery support no longer slowly decreases but faster and faster and faster. This is the sign of tear and wear - or 500€ repowering. Does it make sense to repower a bike after 3 or 4 years ? Not sure, I would never do it again for an e-bike with a power train company you do not know how long they might make it. Better to cut the losses at 300€ and sell for 700€ than to continue riding and have to pay 500€ the next month. There are also a lot of parts that can suck suddenly belonging to the drive train and where spare parts are rare or expensive like the sensor that measures how much power you are investing. Mine was 180€ for the spare part only and with a repowered battery I had suddenly spent another 800€ for an ebike I had gotten for 1100€ which already had been a 700€ discount in 2014 or so. e-bikes are not cheap to maintain once they are out of warranty and the more robust they are built the better which usually ends in higher weight. But best of all: they can offer a lot of fun and make life easier too cause you can use it far better for grocery shopping instead of a car. Good choice and good luck. Prophete is based close to Bielefeld or better Rheda Wiedenbrück which is close to the Sennestadt the big former british mainbattle tank test area. So have an eye in the news if someone buys the brands cause that might make it easier to buy some spare parts that might had been made uniquely for your e-bike. I had a bike with such parts and it was a real mess to get spare parts afterwards cause you had to overpay if you got a part or buy a used one to slaughter that. Mine had a unique design, it had gotten a red dot award for design cause you could not see the battery back then and it had a belt drive not a chain. So I went for it and stayed with it for quite a long time and also had to invest a lot over the time to keep it running. 8 years later I had invested another 1250€ over time and 2250€ in total for roughly 3500 km in total. Quite a lot and most people overlook the fact about the expensive drivetrain repairs from battery over motor , controller, sensor and what not. If you do the math you will see a 300€ per year figure which is far more than I had thought back then even though the first battery lasted roughly 3 years before I repowered it with the Samsung cells which gave me 66% more range or so. This is still in a remarkable condition but each time something seems to get wrong I have hard times to decide to repair it again or to sell it for slaughtering. My worst mistake had been not to buy a damaged one as spare part donator when those were cheap.
Dein Akzent ist so lustig, liebe es, Dankeschön ❤
