    If you really want a brushless version with belt clip, you can swap out clutch into a Bosch PS32 drill! Look it up.

    Excellent review. Packed thoroughly with useful information and you didn't pull any punches in pointing out things you weren't impressed with. Just bought this at Lowe's for $149. I didn't really need all the extra attachments, but why not have them when I would have paid at least $175 or more just for a drill with charger and battery. Thanks for sharing!

    The offset feature I would really like. Would be a nice drill to pair with an impact driver for the more advanced DIY homeowner's applications. Great review, as always.

    • @DoresoomReviews
      @DoresoomReviews 5 років тому +1

      The offset adapter is 95% of the reason I bought this. For screws right up against a corner, it keeps you from stripping out the head due to driving at an angle.
      A 12V impact driver would be a great complement for higher torque applications. They just announced an 18V version of the Flexiclick too.

      @@DoresoomReviews Do you have any sources for the 18v version? I know they make them for sale in other countries, but haven't found anything for the U.S. yet though. Just bought one today and may return if they are coming out with it.
      Also not sure if yours is different, but you can advance the chuck if you spin it without the drill. At least on mine.

    This model is now about $130 on Amazon , the new upgraded brushless is $230. The Milwaukee is about $205. The only thing that bugs me about the Milwaukee is the forward/reverse placement . Which one would you get at these prices?
    I have DeWalt and ryiobi tools & batteries, but i haven't heard of either of them releasing something similar.

    • @DoresoomReviews
      @DoresoomReviews 4 роки тому

      I'd stick with the original Flexiclick until the brushless version comes down in price, unless you really need something with more power. The belt clip and brushless motor would be a nice upgrade, but I don't know if it's worth an extra $100. The only other thing that might sway me to say the M12 would be if you had a bunch of M12 tools already.
      I have the M12 installation tool and the brushed Flexiclick, and I find myself picking up the Flexiklick most often. Maybe it's because I had that one first and got used to it though.

      The milwaukee is bulkier/boxier and longer and the collet is magnetic only, it does not secure the bits. The new bosch brushless is even more compact than the old one. The accessories coupling in the Bosch is superior.

    I already have this but just I bought the M12 Surge and M12 Gen 2 Hammer Drill and was thinking about changing it for the M12 version.
    I have other 12v Bosch tools that aren't replaceable (planer, laser, etc) so it doesnt bother me to keep it either.
    I watched both videos but for general use which one do you prefer? The offset on the M12 not holding bits is the main thing I don't like but man it looks cool...lol

    • @DoresoomReviews
      @DoresoomReviews 4 роки тому +1

      I think I personally like the Bosch more, but it's not a no-contest win for either of them. The Milwaukee has better ergonomics, but the Bosch attachment design is much smoother when you want to hit a certain angle with the offset or right angle adapters. The 1/4" bit holder design on the Milwaukee is much better for one handed operation with just inserting the bit, and then pulling the collar to release. The Bosch requires pushing the collar for both bit insertion and release. Bosch wins for direction lever design. Milwaukee wins on torque. I need to just make a video comparing the two! 😂

    Which is better this or the Milwaukee version??

    • @DoresoomReviews
      @DoresoomReviews 4 роки тому +1

      I prefer the Bosch, as manipulating the attachments is easier with it. But the Milwaukee has more power and I do like its ergonomics better. Bosch has a locking bit holder for the offset drive while Milwaukee doesn't, and the Milwaukee forward/reverse switch is still a little awkward.

      Milwaukee only has an EU version, it's not available in North America for some reason. I believe the M12 one is brushless and has better specs than the Bosch. Although its offset drive doesn't get you as close as the Bosch's does, and that attachment is the main reason I bought mine.

      No, I haven't used the 18V version. I did buy the brushless 12V version when it came out though. For this type of tool, I think compactness is better than raw power. It's got plenty of torque for what I use it for.

      They're pretty close in price - the Bosch MSRP is at $199, and the Milwaukee version is $229. Plus, they're also selling it for $179 bare tool, which Bosch doesn't do. I'll have to do a comparison video between the two when the M12 comes out in September.
