A few of you are making similar comments, so let me address them. To those who are disappointed that the whole video isn't of me walking around and talking about how to see light in general, I'll refer you to the introduction where I stated clearly that I don't really know how to do that, so this will be a SERIES. I'll show you my thought process behind one image at a time, over time. Hopefully in the mix you'll learn something. To those who are complaining that there is more editing in this video that shooting... you're right. It takes longer to show an edit than to talk about taking the shot. Some people find this interesting and helpful. I for one see dodge and burning in post in particular as part of the lighting process. I think Ansel Adams would agree. My intention was to show you the thought process from pre-visualising to posting, all the while talking about the light in the image. If you don't want to see editing though for some reason, the great news is that you have control of the play button and you can just switch it off, and still walk away having consumed 3 minutes of free content. I had hoped this series was a way for me to produce more regular content on top of the more philosophical videos I produce which take a lot more time, but it seems to have confused some. If it's a misstep it's easy for me to just pull the idea altogether and go back to a more sparse schedule. Let me know what you think.

I thoroughly enjoyed the video and really appreciated you taking the time to show us your mobile workflow. I have no idea why some people would complain, but then again, some people are just born to moan.

What the hell is wrong with people. You try helping out as best you can and all they can do is bloody well moan about they aren’t happy you did this or that. For crying out loud people Sean is a wonderful person, teacher and human being, wise up or he’ll pull the plug and you won’t get his time (for free) anymore. Rant over, geeze

What strikes me (almost) more than the quality of your videos (all of them) is the kind of community you've gotten yourself here on YT and Instagram. I love being a part of this gang because of so much good energy, respect and support för what you're doing. Pay no attention to the moaners. You're approaching 100k subscribers and as soon as you hit it you'll be getting better deals from even bigger brands, monetisation will increase as well. Best of luck and thank you for all the hard work you're putting down here.

You're amazing; I'm gonna cry. I have a lot of chronic health issues. Thinking is tough, creativity can be difficult. Your videos inspire me, but also clue me into how photographers develop a workflow, whereas I may never quite grasp how someone does something on my own. You're really one of the best doing it right now. I'm always thinking of your "protect your highlights" video. Ugh, thank you so much!

Thank you for making photography accessible. Your videos have helped me re-find what I once thought was lost. A few years ago I was forced into a position in which I had to sell most of my gear and since then I haven't really given photography any time as I had it in my head I had to have all the expensive higher end gear I used to have. After watching your videos, hearing your perspectives and feeling inspired I have borrowed a Cannon 100D with a 40mm lens and have been taking every opportunity I can to get out with it!

Hey Sean...I just discovered you and your channel a couple of days ago and I have been binge watching your vids. I really appreciate your style and content. I have been doing photography for only 3 years and I have been really downhearted with my work lately and I'm in a really big rut. Watching your channel has been really thought provoking and has given me a new way of looking at things. I've noticed in the last few vids that I've watched, in the comment section you've seem to have felt the need to clarify what you were saying in the video due to comments that were made from viewers. Remember that haters will hate and there is ALWAYS someone who will have something negative to say no matter what. Just keep doing what your doing and being you. I watch A LOT of photography videos trying to find inspiration and the spark I have been looking for and you sir have been a breath of fresh air.

Love this vid and it's great to get a bit of a glimpse into your personal process. I like the idea of you taking me through your thought process from conceptualization to execution, to post production. The whole thing is a process and it's good to see what your mindset is at any given point. I would've kept the color and the windows, maybe just the color in the windows and maybe went B&W with the rest. This is what I LOVE about these types of videos. I get to see WHAT you did and WHY you did it and I also get to think of what I might've done had I been been behind the lens or editing the same shot. It's like I'm expanding my horizons by looking objectively watching you. Thanks for taking the time to put it all together.
