    Walmart brand eggs are from huge factory farms. The hens live in tiny laying boxes and all they do is lay eggs and eat.. there’s no way any could be fertilized when they don’t even see daylight let alone a rooster!

    These are bleached, white American eggs. The chemical bleaching would certainly harm the egg, by degrading the inner membrane (just as washing with water degrades the membrane, but more as it is such a strong chemical, designed to kill).

    You realize that factory farm hens never see a rooster right 🙄. Also the eggs have likely been in cold storage for weeks or months, and are only viable for about 10 days even if the hens HAD been fertilized and the embryo not killed by refrigeration 😂

    Eggs from caged hens on factory farms are never out of their tiny cage to mate with a rooster, so eggs are never fertile. Also on factory farms male chicks are put on a conveyer belt and dumped in a grinder at one day old. The cruel truth to commercial egg farms

  • @ArkansasPrepper

    I have worked in a laying hen production house. There is not a rooster in five miles of the laying house for that reason. The chicks are presorted hens and purchased by the egg factory as a laying hen. When you buy farm fresh eggs from a farmer. You can bet he has a rooster to keep his flock going.

  • @JS-yd5vc
    @JS-yd5vc 2 роки тому

    I feel like it should be pretty obvious when buying caged eggs that they wouldn’t hatch… the hens are kept in tiny cages their entire lives, no males anywhere near. Probably not even on the property at all, let alone in the cage. Part of the reason why you SHOULD NOT buy these eggs. Literal animal abuse.
    It’s free range or especially pasture raised where they’re typically some roosters around, so some eggs end up fertilized.

    Thank you this was a massive amount of effort thanks for taking the time to do it. America is the only country where eggs are washed before being sold makes them more susceptible to rot and issues so even if one was fertile it may have issues. Dont do organic eggs or even pasture raised eggs. Chickens that are layers on a comercial scale are isolated. your best bet for this would be farmers market eggs preferably a farm that sells meat and eggs.

      @@millerfarms1333 100% depends on if there are Roos involved. Most large operations avoid such but I imagine it is possible. I also understood that a bantam chicken egg hatches in 18-20 days and need strict temperature and humidity regulation........ but I had a hen who set on eggs on the 5th in August and had gave up on them 18 days later on the 23rd........ She was roosting with the rooster on that night and it was dropping to low 60s out. I "knew" they were doomed 100% if I didn't act so I put them in a small cloth organizer tub, fired up my oil heater in my small bathroom and put them on a high shelf for about 3 days until I discovered my neighbor had a incubator he would allow me to borrow. I had them in this incubator for about a week and nearly tossed them last night as when I was candling the eggs I seen no movement at all. Figured at this point, one more day won't hurt. Today, 2 hatched and 2 more are pipping as I type this comment. Nature will leave you scratching your head sometimes for certain.

      @@husseinmahdi4282 I am putting short videos two or three times a week. I am not sure if those eggs are of any good for hatching.

    You need to do a vid on your incubator. I've been looking at the Pro-264. Not many videos out on the Rite Farm line of larger incubators.

    The easiest and cheapest way to do this is to buy one dozen eggs from Walmart, THEN go to a hatchery and purchase ONE fertilized egg and place it in an incubator along with 11 unfertilized. Make a video of the one egg hatching and claim it was a miracle! 🤔

    If you get your eggs from a local organic farm chances are they have at least a couple roosters and have fertilized eggs. The fun part is you never know what you're getting. The bad part is you never know what you're getting.
