I was taught to ride in Kent by an ex-cavalryman in the 60's and his biggest bugbear was riders who came to the Stables that were taught elsewhere and they'd cluck, his voice still rings in my head, "Don't cluck, you're not a Chicken!" The first time I saw Monty Roberts MVO, was on UA-cam and I was immediately planning a trip to the States to see him work, when I saw that he was going to tour England, along with Kelly Marks. I bought tickets straight away, and although the venue changed rather late in the day, the demonstration was amazing and Monty stayed to answer questions and sign keep sakes. I would have liked to have just shaken his hand but I thought that he must have had a long enough day and he wasn't exactly a young man, so who was I to keep him hanging around? Amazing man, amazing feats, so much accomplished and really should be a National Treasure in the States. Honoured as a Member of the Victorian Order by Her Majesty the Queen but not nearly recognised enough outside of the equine world!
I've watched these few tyms with my dan giddings , ❤
