LOVE the VW bus. Don’t get rid of it. It’s wonderful. And I’m really impressed with Jason. He has been building stuff and helping so much. All your kids are great.
I could see myself in the drivers seat of that little canary alfa. I imagine it would be a head turner and people might wave to you as you drive past, just because it looks like a happy car. I watch you from Tasmania Australia. You have entertained me for years. You and your family are great people. Love your work!
YES! I can relate. 🙂 I had orange shag carpeting on the floor and ceiling of my (purchased new in late '71) '72 Chevy van. 🤩 With my van and my Hobie Cat, I did a fair bit of sailing and camping in my youth.
10:45 well, now I know it's time for me to get an eye test because I could have sworn that was Abagail hunkered down in front of the car there, teehee. I was a little surprised when she suddenly turned into a power washer with a towel over it, lol. I'm giggling away here, lol. Lee xx

Do you always have to buy cars in two? LOL Great buys Alex! 👍👍👍👍 Always love your videos! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ May God Bless you & ALL of your family & loved ones ALWAYS. ✝️🙏✝️🙏✝️
Wow! You could have a family caravan of the two VW busses when you go camping. Both will look cute back by the guest house/cabana/sorting house. But I hope to enjoy some camping videos in future. Well done.
We enjoyed camping in a VW camper when my son was young. I hear what you say about the weight. We drove to an amethyst mine on a trip out to Alberta in the 1990s. Going up a steep incline in our VW Fox, we were thinking of the little engine that could. My husband was not impressed especially since it was my idea to go to the amethyst mine. How about a camping meetup in Algonquin Park. 🛶⛺🇨🇦
That Volkswagen camper is adorable! You could replace the awning with one that's striped red and white to match the tent. That would make it even cuter! 😻
That VW bus should be your happy place Alex, keep it with the circus tent and all it's beautiful! Love the Alpha Romeo, but hey you got a free VW bus now, no tears here :). Thanks for taking us along on your adventures, they are so much fun!
Nice the alfa almost pays for the V.W. bus, what can't you like about that, I always say one thing about Alex, his knowledge is so so Important in his business, and Alex/family sure know their stuff, congratulations once again on a great video and lesson in smart business practices.
I live in Gray Maine and just a few days after watching this video, I saw a VW bus with the same exact paint job which surprised me as I thought the previous owner had had it painted that way as I had never seen another one yours and at 75 that's allowed me to see plenty of Volkswagens. It of course did not have the bump out on the roof. Keep up the good work, enjoy all your videos. Jon H
Dear Mr. Archbold. 👍👌👏 Oh WOW, simply fantastic! 🎉 for purchasing two fantastic vehicles in pristine conditions again! Of course especially the bay window VW bus is a real time capsule. In my personal opinion you should've left the ladder and the front rack on it. Because this bus camper conversion is absolutely unique and has proven its functionality for decades. A lot of love and ingenuity has gone into the bus. This rare one owner vehicle could be a star at any VW meeting. Especially in this pristine, rust free condition. This alone is already extremely rare. I would've also got rid of the newer, black roof rack but replace it with a period correct one. Thanks a lot for making explaining recording editing uploading and sharing. Best regards luck and especially health to all of you. Post Scriptum: 🎉 (again) for selling the beautiful yellow Alfa Romeo with good profit. Although I would've loved to see and especially hear a test drive. Especially because this famous double cam overhead engine revs up so well and sounds quite nice. By the way: The Marchal fog lights with the yellow glasses are the icing on the cake.
Alex- No, I don't need a bigger garage, I won't fill up the one this size. lol! Oopps! Nice looking cars. Glad you could get most of your money back, on the Romeo. I was, also, thinking, glad the pool house can be lived in, as I saw Melissa, banishing you, for a few weeks.
OMG, I LOVE THE VW. The VW would be fun for the family. I drove one in 79 from Knoxville , TN to Colorado and back. It was a blast. Oh Yeah, you and Melissa romantic camping trip. My other favorite older model that I've wanted is a candy apple red 67 convertable mustang
I LOVE the VW bus!! The Alfa was a nice score too! The bus is my dream car and I hope I can find one one day. I hope you get to test out the bus and take a nice camping trip. Thanks for sharing!
My father bought VW busses for our family of 8 kids. I don't think he cared for station wagons. Anyway, we had a 68 and after that a 71. I can still remember going on trips in them. We were stuffed to the gills with suitcases, coolers, extra blankets and pillows and, of course, the 10 of us. When we went to Connecticut to visit my dad's parents, sometimes it felt like we were were barely getting up the hills. Dad's in 2nd gear and in the right lane with his flashers on, while the rest of the traffic whizzed by on the left! I loved those trips! We also went to Chicago to visit my mom's mom, but it was considerably flatter than the other trip! When we got to be driving teens, my father got a 74 Dodge dart. Eventually, nobody wanted to drive the VW Bus. I started driving it as soon as I learned stick. I was the only one driving it for a while. My eldest brother bought a used VW camper, but it didn't have all the things yours does. I can't wait to see what you do to it. Keep us updated. I love your videos and your family!
Years ago my Dad bought an old Goliath car. A little station wagon sort. It was awesome. Had red leather seats,I just loved it. I used to go sit in it cause he told me he was gonna fix it up and give it to me. I was probably about 13 or 14 at the time. Couldn't wait to drive that car. Well,it never got fixed, couldn't get parts for it I guess. Even from JC Whitney. So it got towed away eventually. It truly was a very sad day for me. I wish I had it now,I might have been able to find those parts with the internet now. I'm glad you get to find all those great vehicles. I'm almost 71 now,so I think I have finally let go of owning my very own Goliath. Thank you for sharing all you and your families adventures and great finds. God bless.
Uh oh, didn't you say that if you bought anymore cars, Melissa was going to make you sleeping in the pool house? Or was this vlog shot before yesterday when you said that? Well it looks you now need to buy at least 1 more car lift 🤣 or maybe build a 2nd garage. I'm loving how much the kids help you. It’s awesome to see how much Jason, Steven, & Abigail help out with all of the different things you do to make money for your family. God bless you & your family. 🙏🤗💗
The VW brings back very happy memories of the homemade pop-up camper my parents and I camped in in the 1970s right down to the woodwork and the fold down tables.
By the way: in Italy the Polizia Stradale and the Carabinieri used those Berlinas and later the 75 models a lot. An Italian friend told me some highway cars had racing eninges in It. Equipped like that they could follow about every the car on the road. The disadvatage was that those enines would last less than 2500 miles!
Hoovie will be calling you soon, complaining you're trampling all over his cabbge patch! 🤣🤣🤣That's a couple of little gems right there, Alex. Thanks for sharing. From the UK.
The second I saw the camper, I thought one of your boys will love ot!! If you keep it, I would put the bed in where the dining area is. What a find!!!!❤
Alex, auto manufacturers are beginning to sell those campers on trucks and off-road vehicles. There was an article on CNN's website not long ago about how you can buy those and add them to your auto when camping. Personally, I like the look of it on the VW and I think it will bring you a good price.

That VW is a total time capsule. I love how customized and quirky it is. So cool! Also, what is that Mercedes?! I don’t think there was ever a video on that. Looks like a gem.
Not sure of the year but it's either a Mercedes 190sl or a 300sl, I checked the values for a 1960 model, which is the middle of the years that body style was produced and if it's a 190 they average $121,000 U.S., if it's a 300sl the avg. value is 1.2 million U.S. dollars.

@@Chr.U.Cas1622 I seem to remember Alex saying that it's a 911, as to what they are selling for I couldn't find an average but I seen them range in price from 40k to 120k for ones in good condition, so I think they avg. 70-75k. The Mercedes is most likely a 190 as they only made 1800 300's with unknown number for the N. American market

I was just saying its a travelling circus mobile just before you said it. Hope you can clear up all stuff off the roof. It is otherwise a very handsome VW! Love the Alfa. Classy little car that.
That camper is really nice and still useable. A great find. The yellow vehicle is nice but I’ve never cared for yellow as a car color but it seems to be in good shape somewhat. Not as good as the camper tho. But that’s me as I don’t care for the color at all. It a me thing only so please do t take offense.🤪☺️
a rust free 72 VW Bus in this setup is definitely worth doing a bit of updating/repairs as needed, In Canada does it come with a 2.1 L fuel injected or double carbs flat four or still the upright dual port 1600 CC Engine? As long as it is kept out of the weather, not driven in salt on the roads during winter it will keep.!
LOVE the VW bus. Don’t get rid of it. It’s wonderful. And I’m really impressed with Jason. He has been building stuff and helping so much. All your kids are great.

The VW bus is a keeper! Love the flowered counter top and table.. The bus is in amazing condition!
