Sometimes Cheap and Cheerful is Great! Cant wait to see more!
We just stayed there in June and were in a regular room on the 3rd floor with fireworks view. Could see just over space mountain. Usually you can request to have your room changed after seeing it's handicap accessible if you want, they're very accommodating. :) For the price or that hotel, and the food court and walking distance to DL as well as Panera..we really liked it!
We were there last week too. The kids looked for you everyday, but no luck. We've stayed at Fairfield in the past... needs updating. This time we stayed ar the brand new Hyatt House..... very nice .... keep it in mind for your next visit.
I stay at this hotel every time I go to Disneyland. I love that is it walking distance to the park.
Have you thought about flying into Santa Ana Airport instead? It's MUCH smaller and closer to Disney. I fly into that when I stay at the Hilton attached to the Anaheim Convention Center for Vidcon. Disneyland is literally behind The Hilton.
Michael Warbux agreed. 15 minute uber ride from DLR
John Wayne can be pricey.
I always look at flying into John Wayne, but end up doing LAX because we end up finding flights on Virgin America for $99 and with a super shuttle being $34 it's still cheaper than what I have found going into John Wayne.
TheTimTracker wow... can't beat that! Perk of living near a major airport. Santa Ana was actually cheaper for me from WestTexas, but definitely not $99!!!
Yeah flying into sna from Orlando probably is expensive or requires long layover.
Enjoy and have been enjoying your work/fun for sometime now. We are going in December to Disneyland and are staying at the Fairfield. Cannot wait and am excited to see your other videos.
Awesome! You will have a blast!!!
I will always wonder why you go to Disney land when florida has the best Disney :D
Great travel video, the safe is really unsafe on this table. :D
"A little chair... for... chair-ing."
That is interesting. We always stay on Disney property in Orlando, but we booked the Howard Johnson Anaheim hotel, a family suite, for next summer. I thought it would be okay... :-/
It might be, you never know! It's definitely a different set up out in California where everything is within walking distance rather than getting on a bus and heading to the parks. There are a ton of hotels around Disneyland, we only stayed at one, but I'm sure there are other very nice hotels.
Your videos are amazing, do you think you will be meeting Justin Scarred whilst at Disney? 😀
I need to make a quick Hop from RSW-MCO
They are replacing the monorail system so that was maybe the smell you were talking about??- NOW security - you just never know, we were flying out last christmas - 2.5 getting to MCO we almost missed our departure flight- the fun running to your gate kinda thing- ( MANY people missed their flight) TSA were very un pleasant- then one time it was just 25 mins so go figure! ugh!
Hotels near DL I stayed at Candy Cane, & I was pleasantly surprised nice rooms and you can walk to DL, but they do have a free shuttle.

there, fireworks view ;)
Fun
A lot of hotels put the coffee pot in the bathroom...so bizarre
I'm not sure about other rooms, but in this case its likely so a guest in a wheelchair won't have to make a bunch of trips across the room to make a pot of coffee.
What
Type of plane did you get on
Does anyone know the song in the background of the flight time lapse or is it one of those songs that comes with a video editor ?
What are the 3 hotels called?
I always wonder why you fly into LAX instead of Orange County (John Wayne) when you go to Disneyland?
Vicki Jackman I think sometimes flights are cheaper into LAX than John Wayne.
We always try to catch Virgin America when flights at only $99. The leg room is amazing, but they only fly into LAX.
$99?!? Wow that is a great deal!
Dang! I'd fly Virgin Atlantic too! We're near Austin, TX and fly Jet Blue. Great seats and leg room for my husband. Many times they're less than Southwest. They fly into Long Beach, CA (not as crazy as LAX which we avoid at all costs!) and they go to Orlando.
I totally agree. I have to fly out of LAX for work and its usually an awful experience. John Wayne Airport in Santa Ana or Long Beach Airport are both much, much bette. So unless you are getting an extraordinary deal to fly into LAX, fly into Santa Ana or Long Beach and save yourself a lot of time and misery.
You guys must be Disney superfans. You live in Orlando and you still travel to California to go to Disneyland??
You must be new here
We do love Disney! It is a lot of fun!
+TheTimTracker I know how feel , Mk is my favorite park you want would think I would get tired of it.. but being a cast member is amazing!!
I have been to WDW over a dozen times but I want to see where it all began.
Tim I just realized your left eye never blinks. Do you have an amblyopia?
Tim n Jenn, I have to say I Love every Vlog / video you post long or short. I enjoy sightseeing through the content you share. You're dedication to your fans/ viewers is Awesome. The joy you get sharing your lives and adventures is Incredible. Glad your Vacation was so excellent. Wish you both the greatest always and can never leave out Bandit and Armoni. Have a great day
I am a Disneyland junkie and my favorite hotel is Howard Johnsons on S Harbor. I have stayed there for over 20 years. Its not fancy but they have always taken good care of us. You can watch the fireworks from the hotel. Its a short walk to the park AND just think of all the money you save! I have also stayed on property but I cannot justify spending 250-300 a night when ticket prices are soaring. Id rather spend on food or presents or just saving the money.
$500 bucks a night for Disney hotel,, hell no, theres gos your spending money on your trip, just throw it away on a room your not hardly gonna even be in ! Rip off !!!
Plane rides are always better on youtube...they always seem to go much faster! Maybe by fireworks view...they meant to say fireworks sound view?
EverydayDisneyMagic no just see the fireworks but disney hotel put the fireworks soundtrack on a TV channel u can turn on so yea
EverydayDisneyMagic you can see the fireworks from that hotel... it's just a strange side view.
Thanks for using the phrase "differently abled". Very respectful of you.
Id love to go to Disney land never been
like the music ! forgot what I was watching for a second 😂
@ 3:01 a snack named like Bandit.......the good Bean.
Hi you guys are the best youtubers
The hotel room is weird because it's handicap accessible... I think
Those types of rooms are for people in wheelchairs who NEED the room in bathrooms and stuff like me, Tim you're funny you two could party in the shower if you wanted too lol
FunFact: the Orlando international airport used to be a US Air Force Base
Yup, McCoy AFB, hence "MCO"
Yay, the Disney Vlogs begin!!!! ❤️
TIME TO WAKE UP !!! ITS VIDEO TIME FOR DISNEYLAND....oooo sorry I'm yelling.... anyways, WAKE UP !! lol
We stayed at that hotel. I wasn't impressed. Very loud and didn't like the outward facing motel like doors
I'm looking foward to your HHN video! :) I know you said AHS in Orlando was better but what about The Exorcist, Krampus, and TCM??? I'm very curious to know!
You are walking distance to Disney from there... so that for sure is different. I would say Disneyland is almost more assessable to those who can't afford the $300 a night price tag because of having normal hotels within a 5 minute walk. This is going to be interesting seeing you guy's perspective of enjoying the outside world (pizza press, Panera and such) directly across the street from DLR
Candy Cane Inn on Harbor is a good deal and it's super nice. Walkable from the esplanade (and it has a really good shuttle if you're lazy). I like the HoJo on Harbor, too. Disandhote (RIP, perpetually-burnt-out neon signs), Grand Cal, and PP are really overpriced and frankly, only Grand Cal can brag about being super-close to the parks.
Ahhhh travel day! This was me yesterday. Manchester N.H. to Chicago to Las Vegas. Can't wait for the Grand Canyon.
If someone was doing construction on a restaurant behind you, what you smelled was probably the cutting of the exhaust pipes for fitting the grill/oven exhaust pipes in...mix of paint/insulation/steel smell and Very Nasty!
I really hope you guys watched the original version of World Of Color since they brought it back! It's SO much better than the 2nd version you guys saw last time.
:) Just as a recommendation, if you wanna stay off property again I recommend the Park Vue Inn it's right across the street from Disneyland. My family and I stay at that hotel when we go to Disneyland and we've never had a bad experience, the rooms are clean, the staff has always been very friendly and you can't beat the hotel being literally right across the street from the hotel.
We were in California the same time as you guys were. We also stayed across the street in a Non Disney hotel; yes, there is a difference. Although it was much cheaper. I have stayed at all three Disney Hotels in California (fond memories of the Disneyland Hotel when I was a kid in the 70's) and many different resorts in Florida, I too like the Disney Experience.
We are driving to Orlando on Wednesday. We're staying at the Seralago Hotel and Suites Maingate. It was cheap, family friendly, close to Disney and looked descent.
I liked this solely for your footage from LAX. Love your videos, still catching up. Thanks for the content!
We have stayed at that Fairfield many times. Such a quick walk to the park, and the staff is great. Had to laugh at the comment on the safe! I keep telling my husband we should start our own vlog since we are always on the go with the kids, but have no idea how to start one. (Or the guts to start one) Any advice? So glad you had such a wonderful trip!!
I look forward to watching all the videos from your trip. It's been ages since I've been to Disneyland.
I’m not sure if this will be seen or not but I thought I would offer some perspective on the accessible room:
The extra space is for wheelchairs especially if there are multiples in the room; power chairs can take up a lot of space and some disabled people have to travel with more luggage to meet their medical needs. The room is likely not as kept up because many disabled people cannot afford to travel as they are kept in poverty. There is a bill being voted on that will hopefully change that!
my mom actually works for Marriott so it's given me the chance to stay at several Marriott's hotels throughout the country than what I can handle... but I gotta agree its nothing compared to being on Disney property no doubt.
The one time you are running late or don't give yourself extra time for security etc. is when it Will take you 2 hours lol
We priced Disney hotels and they are expensive compared to orlando, as no UK operator seems to do packages there. And we didn't like the motel style of hotels close by. When we looked into area where Universal was, much fancier hotels.
i wish your vlogs could have a number system ,, adam the woo has his vids numbered abit better !!! just a thought
I've stayed at the Fairfield twice now and it's a decent hotel for what you pay. Last trip I was randomly upgraded to a "character room" on one of the higher floors, didn't look much different to yours.
I know the feeling of being excited to go to Disney , working at Mk you would think I would get tired of being here.. but working here is amazing!!
the view from the plane is amazing! great job....and the hotel is not too shabby! How long was the flight.....
Am glad to see the videos so quickly after your trip!!! You must have been busy beavers!!! Did you get a chance to rest??
I'm so happy for you guys. One of my fav parts of vacation is checking in and looking over room so this video so this vlog gave me so many feelings of bliss :)...
Yay!!!! So happy you are heading to Disneyland!! My favourite place on earth! :)
Maybe somebodies Galaxy note 7 caught fire. Massive recall !
Jenn are you still using overtone or did you just dye your hair again?? It looks super vibrant!
I'm so jealous that you guys got to go to Disneyland again. I wanna go so bad 😫
You pay MUCH more for the Disney hotels in Anaheim...like twice as much
They just are uploading video's after they went, they arent going a day after they just went to DL lol so yeah no offense to anybody. by the way like the airplane take off time lapse very cool
wazoo wonderful potatoes I'm..... not early.... tim....you let this happen
Dang you guys must really love California, going back right after you left haha you guys are awesome
/s
so excited for the videos couldn't wait for the week to start
It's going to be a fun week!!!
I’m staying here in January. First trip to Disneyland after going to WDW over a dozen times.
That Hotel looks a bit grim.....Coffee in a bathroom? Walkable safe? Hmmmmmm.....
Next time check out Candy Cane Inn. Great hotel, clean, great free breakfast, and super close to the park.
Have you stopped having your weekly meal plans delivered loved watching Jen prepare the meals and Tim trying them out
Looks like a handicap room. Really nice though you two are a fun and sweet couple!!
you guys were literally two hotels away from where my family and I stayed the same week. We had really hoped to catch you guys they're at the park and say hi but just didn't work out.
I was in a handicapped accessible room one time at Disney world. When you use the shower the entire room kind of floods, so heads up to anyone who didn't know that.
Yep that's an ADA room, thus closet setup etc. DIdn't know Southwest went to Orlando!
I completely agree with you, when we went to Disneyland we listened to people who said you don't need to stay on property. What a mistake, our hotel was not the best and we didn't even really feel like we were on a Disney holiday. We visited the Disney hotels and we wished we had paid the extra to stay there.
I have never heard of the disney bubble but now that i have i know what you mean. At least when it comes to disneyland.
Yay let the Disneyland/California videos begin!! ^.^
As I'm watching this I'm driving to Orlando for HHN
A tip for all you travelers out there, don't take a giant bag of gummi bears through security.
That's the same hotel we stay at when we got to Disneyland. I love that hotel!! Great price & right across the street from the park.
You can always ask for a different room. I've done this many times across the planet.
I'm happy I lived in the same timeline as Virgin America (RIP)
I am so excited to see your next few vlogs from Disneyland!!!
BEST FRIENDS! That is a really cute picture.
I see the Cask and Larder sign behind you! Can't wait until the Polite Pig to open!!
We stay at Fairfield a lot as well. Mainly for its location and price. It's right across the street ☺️
Agreed about the hotels. We stay Marriott often, but there's nothing like a Disney resort.
Does any one know what camera they use? Love your videos btw ..you guys make me want to move to orlando 😁
Time to catch up on your vlogs! Been missing them without internet!
every hotel I stayed in the coffee pot was on a stand or on top of the fridge never in the bathroom. that's a Lil bizarre that it was in the bathroom
I smelt that fire smell about 3 weeks ago when I was at MCO? Confusing
Hey, those colored tiles are iconic ! They go back o the 1960's .
I had a hard time listening at first because of that beautiful flute music! The life of a flute player ahaha
I am so excited to go to California next year for my disneymoon!!!
I'm excited for their HHN video because they get in the houses
glad u shared the hotel experience. we r hoping to go out one day and this just sealed the deal. we r going to stay at a DL resort.
Tim, how do you get time to go on trips everywhere? Just wondering. :P
The day I flew to Orlando you flew to California :(
Really loved the one take vlogs while you were traveling, but SO excited to watch the full vlogs from the trip! I think we're going to steal the "One Take At Disney" idea when we visit Disneyland at Christmas.
I so want to go to Disneyland at some point in my life
