- How to Fix Send Error on Kyocera devices when you're scanning to email
Control Panel reads the following:
SMTP login user name and login password
POP3 login user name and login password
Job is canceled. Press End
1102
Or Web Interface pops up:
Connection Error 0x1102
This fix utilizes a valid gmail account
You need your own gmail address with a known password to login and enable 2 step Authentication and App password creation.
Gmail account settings security
Enable 2 step authentication
Requires a phone number to text or call with a code
Create App password in 2 step verification option
Manually type in the 16 character password given by google into the SMTP password field of the copier's web interface
Submit and test
Life saver, worked like a charm. Wonder why it started having issues.
I'm not sure, sometimes Google Gmail settings like app passwords get changed during a roll-out of updates.
