Incredible how black was able to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory

Black was a beginner. What a bad mistake he made. I bet he never does that again.

I mean okay he lost the kill but not fortifying to his cap lost him his advantageous position instantly.

You’re truly an amazing player, especially your situational awareness, but Black could have had a 15 in Sevastopol, as he already showed this play in Spain. Then he would have set and delayed you a lot. You could have avoided this by using your cap troupes instead of an 8 stack, and simply gone back to cap if needed. I see this, what looks to me to be an error, a lot, not just by you, where by seeking to optimize your next move you risk not completing the present task, killing Black.

Good analysis. I just didn’t see black leaving a lot of troops. Most of the time people leave the minimum and keep attacking. I wanted to keep troops on capital to then do the capital run at the end. I wanted to win in stylish fashion so needed to take a risk!

The 15 in Spain came from the kill attempt. We saw black leaving nothing in Sevastopol when retaking it. Could they have put more troops there later? Yes, but that's not a good move.

@ It’s not a question of it’s a good move but of risk vs reward. There were 3 troupes there. If he had just one more troupe, then it would not have been a 100% roll. That could be the difference between winning and losing a game, when there was an option that wins 100% of the time.
