Lack of knowledge of child of abuse was evident in this case, none of the 3 parties involved did raise the issue that this girl was and is still underage/a minor? Which is just a shame. Does she even know what was being asked or how to deal with the trauma she might have been subjected to? Mr Mugabe I love your program but it is advisable next time you need to verify the age of individuals you intend to interview. Wish this show placed more emphasis on how child marriages are vile & utterly unacceptable. If you can feature a child on the show, the least you can do is educate more people kuti abusing children through grooming or early marriages is a serious contravention of their rights.

Your concern really matters. But remember this show is just about providing DNA results for people's peace of mind not teach anything about marriages. I see it as an opportunity for creating more jobs or even content for counsellors who watch the show to start a show that teaches people about the effects of early child marriages, trust, love and relationships between families. Totally agree with you. Where as the series is able knowing who the father of the child is, we can not ignore child protection issues that arise during the discussions, eg child sexual abuse, child marriage, domestic abuse or violence to a child, and need for parents to be enabled with dealing with such issues..Sending a 15 or 14 year old to a strange family because they are pregnant I'd highly inappropriate!!! I am not sure if there are clear systems in place to deal with such issues in Zimbabwe at the moment...I am struggling a lot re: this episode. We have lots of social workers in Zim, now coming to England to protect other children and young people. Wish the the government intervene more!

DNA show indeed as the name say, yes the alleged father is not responsible for the pregnancy solving the DNA issue, but this is the biggest takeaway:
1-underage girl indulging with multiple sex partners without protection don't regret or feel bad about it, the audacity of taking the boyfriend home and sleep like it's normal WOW!
2-Youngman going to an underage girl's place and sleeping without protection is just way too irresponsible.
3-girl's mother instead of taking legal steps she just faints no proper steps are taken to safeguard her girl child, a 14 yr is supposed to be doing form2
4-boy's mother could also do better by standing firm on girl child protection and reprimand her son to layoff violent behavior against girls and statutory rape is a serious crime.

As for me i think Tinashe's is there to give peace of mind to the related parties. Diverting the show to now focus on the age as well it defeats the whole purpose it was intended to. The main objective that is in their company papers is to give DNA results. Legal age of consent is 16 amai. There's a misconception that the judgement by the constitutional court raised the age of consent to 18 which is wrong. Technically what the court did was to try and protect children between the ages of 16 to 18 not by saying that they can't consent to sex but by extending conditions where it will need to be explored and seen that the consent was not exploitative.
