I've been following John Bevere since the late '90s, and completely agree with you. The most tangible presence of God I've ever experienced was at one of his meetings in Burnsville, MN. I can't even describe it. He also cast a demon out of someone near me that night. I'll never forget the sound. It was quite the night with God.
I have never seen a man be so open about his past as a man and minister. It’s powerful and has helped me so much in my walk and especially as a teen. I remember him at a men’s conference and the glory and fear of God was so present. For such a laid back guy when he spoke and preached it was like a lion was in the room. Very thankful for him.

John Bevere is a man of God, and LOVES Jesus, the Holy Spirt, and God. He is a very good teacher and preacher. Together with his wife, they have an annointed ministry towards couples too.
@@mikecara8181 Conviction is not just a "Christian" term, first of all. And real Christians still know that the Holy Spirit still convicts of sin in the believer. How else do we continue to grow unless the Lord shows us where we are still in error. Every single letter of the New Testament by the Apostles was meant to convict those believers of where they were in error so they could repent and walk in righteousness. Can't believe you're trying to make an issue over the use of a word whose definition is shown all over the Bible.

During this interview John indicated that if we are fully committed to Jesus that we become an apostle to a realm or gifting that the Holy Spirit has given us. I believe this is reading into scripture with his thoughts and concepts because the bible does not tell us this. If anyone can show me differently, I'd welcome your comments. Thanks.
I believe he means ‘apostolic’ in the sense of the literal meaning of apostle, which is ‘sent out one’ (from memory). 2 Cor 5:18-19 says those who have been reconciled to God are now Christ’s ambassadors who have been given the ministry of reconciliation, to reach the lost. In the same way the great commission also applies to all Christians for all time, even though Jesus gave the instruction to the disciples. So, what I believe he’s saying is that whatever sphere we are in, God is ‘sending us out’ to reach people in that sphere… whether it is a workplace, online, school, wherever. In that way he is saying that if you are fully committed to being a servant of Christ in your sphere, you are functioning in an apostolic way. It’s almost like saying everyone has a ‘mission’ if they will fully submit to God.

The Jesus model was not just large numbers the Jesus model showed who he was close to transparently. When I have studied the falls of Pastors and Christian influencers: Who their Matthew, Mark, Luke and Johns are outside of who they are paying or outside of their family seems very fuzzy. Yes, the people that they financially partner with are clear and who their families are is clear but who their Matthew, Mark, Luke and Johns outside of their financially tied to partners seems VERY fuzzy.
So many people judging John for being mentored by Benny Hinn and being his youth pastor. First, I wonder if we took a fine tooth comb through your past how you would fair? Not a fan anymore of John! He’s written things which were self-aggrandizing. Saying that little churches who didn’t wine and dine him were wrong. He made fun of them, and said God’s movement was limited there because of their “little faith.” (Small payment to him and a bad hotel) Laughable treatment. Bevere has been analyzed by other humble and grounded Christians. Look him up! Not a fan.
I hear he’s or was heavily influenced by Benny hinn.. his teaching on tongues sounds like it’s influenced by baptism of the Holy Spirit with evidence of speaking in tongues. I have family that have been encouraged by him however I’m don’t see that I can co-sign to his theology. I think passion could be misleading. Holy Spirit leads us by truth… your word is truth
I’ve always disliked Benny Hinn but I believe that speaking in tongues can be one of the evidences. Benny Hinn and that train of theology aren’t mutually exclusive.

These men had the biggest revivals, bringing millions of pagans to Jesus. And the hyper-Calvinists resent them for their theology. I would like to see them get out and evangelize and bring people to Jesus, instead of sitting on the couch criticizing. Yes, we should have a balance of orthodoxy and orthopraxy, but I'm tired of the orthodox preaching without orthopraxy. "By your works, you shall know them."
The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is still available to believers, and the gift of speaking in tongues is ONE of the signs of that happening, but it really bothers me when some denominations make it THE one and only evidence that is mandatory. That isn’t biblical, and it’s very misleading
