Shane Dawson and Ryland Adams went the surrogacy route this last year. Their Boys were born in December of 23 and live in CA if you are not familiar with them. They went over the major points and procedures, but since they are a Gay Wedded Couple you can imagine the hate they get. So their videos did not go into some of the details, sadly - as their journey would benefit so many. But I get boundaries are key when you are a creator. Anyway... think about contacting them, it never hurts to have info.
I love the food videos but I also enjoy videos like this where you talk about your pregnancy/health journey. I also really like the videos about your home in Joshua Tree!
Thank you for this! I want to do more videos like this which is why I think I want to start my vlog back up again
I remember seeing you on clever tv in elementary school. I got my big girl job and finished my master's recently. Oh how the times have changed. Thank you for being transparent about your journey. Sending you love
Isn't it wild how fast time really flies!!!
So nice to get an update video from you. My thoughts and prayers are with you and Matt in the upcoming weeks. God Bless you
Thank you so much! I think by the time the next update comes, there will be a LOT of great progress over here!
I felt like I just had lunch with my BFF while she updated me on her life 🥺 I struggle with autoimmune pain and flares as well. Praying for comfort through all the procedures and changes. I know your mama is SO proud of who you are 💗
Emily! Thank you for saying that! I was hoping to bring that "hangout" energy to this! Honestly, it's so nice to do these because I don't have to lay on my couch for hours recovering from all the random snacks I eat! lol!! I hope your AI disorders are not causing to you too many aches and pains!
@@ErinRobinson you are so kind Erin! You absolutely nailed the vibe you were going for🫶🏻 I wish you a lifetime of joy and only the tastiest of snacks😆😋😘
@@emilywynstra Thank you friend! I appreciate you so much!
So happy you are finding your way through all of the health issues. How ever you become parents - the child/children will be blessed.
I think we would be pretty cool parents, TBH!
My Mom passed away a week before Thanksgiving and my Dad passed two weeks before Christmas. The holidays are extra tough and are forever changed.
I feel this so deeply, Lynda. I think getting older and losing people you love only helps you want to leave this world one day when your time is up...because if everyone we loved was still here, we'd never want to leave. Knowing we get to see them all on the other side just allows me peace about going to heaven one day
We LOVE to see it all. I love how your channel makes us feel like real life friends. You are doing a great job!
I can't tell you how grateful I am for you and your content. You have made me feel so less alone. I truly feel again so grateful for how honest and vulnerable you are. You and Matt deserve the world
Wow, comments like these realllllly hit us hard and we can't thank you enough for being so very kind to us.
Wow. You are a strong woman. Such a great attitude. Wishing and praying for great things in your life. Hope all your wishes come true. ❤🙏🏼Really love your channel.
Life can be poopy and hard and simultaneous amazing and great at the same time!!!!
I miss seeing you and Loryn hang out, that always felt the most fun to watch and just experience.
yessss LOVE "I can do it with a broken heart"!
Yah, that's the best bop by far!
You're so amazing and strong. You deserve all the happiness in the world. Here's to hoping 2024 gives you lots of blessings! Good luck with the surgeries!
Thank you! We all are going through difficult stuff, but happiness is also always there if we want to feel it too!
I'm sending lots of healing wishes for you and Matt. I would like to see more vlogs, although of course I love the food content, too!
What you said about the Christmas tree really resonated. I lost my late husband 4 days before Christmas in 2012. It took years before I rediscovered my joy in the holidays.
Aimee.....THIS IS SO HARD. I feel like you might have shared this before on one of my past videos? Regardless, I am so sorry. I know you get it. It's just the worst kind of pain.
@@ErinRobinson I think I did mention it before. Thanks for your kind words. Losing someone you love is always hard. Grief sucks and it's such hard work just to get through the days. Adding the holidays into the mix? You're right, brutal is the word.
What I hope helps is knowing that it will get easier. The pain won't go away, but you will be able to carry it. ♥️
I love seeing these chatty type videos. Also love your food content, but also love and miss some of the vlogging and lifestyle and fashion stuff💝
Thank for answering all the questions! Can’t wait until your next video!

Thank you for continuing to share your
Soft food - baked ricotta cheese! You mix it with egg and seasonings, put it in a muffin tin, top with shredded mozzarella, bake, and cover with sauce to serve!
Love this and it also sounds DELISH! Cover it with like marinara sauce?
Yes ma’am! It’s like noodless lasagna.
@@chloebahboey This sounds like something I'd just want to eat any day of the week TBH! Thank you for the recommendation!

Thanks for the updates and all. Hope both of you will get through your grief and that we know that grieving takes time and thst yes it can be a roller coaster yet we just need to embrace our memories we had of our loved ones and friends etc. Hope Matt is recovering well. Hope your journey as becoming parents will be a blessing for you and Matt.

Love you girl!! I am happy with anything you put out. I found you via Clevver and have to say, as a fellow southern girl, you are the one I vibed with most. Your food videos are always entertaining, but I do love a good vlog 😎 regardless, I will be happy with whatever you put out and always praying for y’all. Sidebar, I also pterodactyl when I eat problematic food 😅
I LOVE A PTERODACTYL TWIN!!!!! Thanks for being here after allllll of the many changes here on YT and in my career! The Clevver OG's are super special to me
You’re so sweet. I know you’re going thru so much. You can see it in your eyes. We are all rooting for you.
I love this life update. I have watched u since Clevver too. When I seen ur last pregnancy loss video I cried with u. I have been wondering how u have been doing and where I were on that journey. Im happy to hear that u are still trying to pursue children cuz if I remember correctly that last big loss was really hard and u guys weren’t sure if u were going to move forward. I would LOVE to see u with a baby ❤
Yes, it was such a HARD time. The first loss was during the beginning of the shutdown and everything was just so so much. It's just a lot longer of a process to go this route but we're taking it one day at a time
Biopsy is not bad. Nerves are normal. Procedure itself is pretty fast and the pinch is real. It will be over before you know it. Have gone through it twice. Not my favorite thing to do but depending on the issue you’re going for sooner is better and you’ll be relieve when it’s done.
Thank you for this, Carolyn! Did you do the mammogram biopsy or the ultrasound guided one?
Love your channel; fan of the food videos, but really appreciate how you seem to be a real person and videos like this show it - i enjoyed all the questions you did answer, here's one; think you'll do a video with Loryn (sp?) again? You guys were so funny together! Thanks for all you do!
Omggg you have been through a lot ! And to see you still standing is amazing ! Keep that strength and it will all fall in place ❤️❤️❤️
Gosh, haven't we all!? I know we're all going through our own version of madness at any given time! I am almost used to the chaos at this point
Hiiii Erin, hope you're well and Matt is healing quickly 💞
He is on the mend!!!!
Love the way you describe the Christmas tree situation. So true that we all have our "Christmas trees," and that makes it all the more important to treat others kindly and give them grace. 🤍 You never know what someone is going through or what they're dealing with behind the scenes.
It's true. I never feel this more than when I am driving slowly, and transporting Matt from his surgeries and people are so angry because I'm not driving fast enough not knowing I have someone super unwell in the back. Makes me think less bad things about slow drivers myself!
I'm so glad you did this video. I have been wondering how you have been doing after everything. Glad you are getting better. Praying for Matt's speedy recovery! Benjis also ❤. Those biopsies are incredibly important. I've fought cancer already now battling it a second time and I'm only 29.
Wow, thank you for sharing that. I don't know what's going on, but I feel like a LOT of young people are battling cancer more and more and it's so concerning. Thank you for the reminder to make sure I prioritize it
These videos are always great, it's always nice to hear about everything. I'm definitely surprised that the rat problem is so bad! Hearing about Benji was nice, I love animals so much. I think that everything will be fine.
My mom and I have had hair loss, due to hormone issues, and we use Nutrafil, and it has really transformed our hair.
I’m a new subscriber and I came for the food reviews but I stay because you’re a real human being and I enjoy hearing about your life as well. Vlogs, Q&As, food - all interesting.
Love this feedback so much and WELCOME (if I haven’t already told you that yet)!!! I appreciate you being here and weighing in and supporting!!!!!
I enjoy any content you make 🙂
I don't know what I did to deserve you all but you all make this job so much fun! Thank you
I had a breast biopsy a few years ago and I will say it really wasn’t painful! Definitely a weird feeling but I was totally numb and by the time it wore off it was just a bit sore, super bruised but just a bit sore!
Protein smoothie bowls and oatmeal. Easy and can switch the flavors up!
Just made a batch of oatmeal for him as we speak! Thank you!
I love these types of videos and would be into vlogs! ❤❤ You’ve been through so much the past few years. Your strength is inspirational. 🫶
Thank you for chiming in with this input, Carrie! I feel like so many people have been commenting about the vlogs, so I really am seriously considering it!!! Stay tuned!
aw i am a relatively new subscriber (just a few months) so i loved getting to know you more!
Emily!! I love this!!! I do forget that many of you came to me recently and don't know my full story! Let me know if you like vlogs or not and if you'd be interested in seeing that on another channel?

As a COVID Clevver Fan… I wish you and the other girls would have a collective channel and post mini reunion videos with a girl or two in them. Even if it’s done twice a month or something. I miss seeing all of you and the connections you all had. I was such a fan I even created multiple lists with A TON of videos and grouped them by theme. Not sure if keeping any of them. Glad to hear it wasn’t bad mojo between you and one (or more) of the girls you used to work with. Glad to also hear you speak to the other Clevver girls on the regular.
Thank you for helping to keep us all employed during the Covid craziness!!!! We appreciated it so so much! Clevver was a massive orchestration (dozens of people who were making everything run behind the scenes as well) and while there are certainly folks that weren't my cup of tea there were a lot of people who I still root for and adore! Just like any other job, ya know!?
Have you heard of fragrances having an effect on the reproductive system? I would really stay away from all fragrance not just perfumes. Risk is you go without smelly stuff for a few months and the reward is a successful pregnancy! Sending you the best of luck and a bucket of love 💕
16:02 I had to have 3 spots biopsied I was awake and watched everything. I had a little soreness but nothing too bad. I did ice packs and Tylenol afterwards.
Did you take any tylenol beforehand??
@@ErinRobinson no I didn’t. They numbed everything really well.
@@officialjamia So good to know! Thank you Jamia!

Love seeing anything you do! My favorite
You all have me blushing in these comments! I don't know how I got so lucky to have you!
Erin, I have had two breast biopsies. It was not bad at all. The worst part is the smashing, much like a mammogram just for a longer amount of time.
Ugh, did they give you any anti-anxiety medication??
@@ErinRobinson No, nothing but a local.
@@ErinRobinson I do have a high pain tolerance. I actually found you originally because of the video on fibroids, that got me watching Clever Style. Hope all goes well with the biopsies. Wishing you the best.

Thank you!!! I love to see the support from you all! Makes my day!
Erin, I know it’s super invasive and I assume your husband isn’t a huge fan of being on cam, but ugh my husband has a cyst pilodontal or something idk bottom of his spine, it’s painful only when sitting a ton, but he would rather die, If you could give the most basic rundown of the aftercare and his pain levels after surgery would be so insightful
Hi! Yes!!! Okay, so this world is SO wild and there are several different approaches to their "removal" so I think it depends on which doctor you go to. A lot of people get them "removed" but it's really just an in-office procedure where it's cut and drained but that is usually temporary and it's a pretty painful procedure. It can also literally grow back within a month. Pretty much the only way to get rid of it is going in for an outpatient surgery where they remove all of the tunnels (it's literally similar to sinus cavities in your nose). It has been a tough recovery. Matt has only been laying on his sides or standing for weeks. No sitting and no laying on his back. His doc says he can sit a little and lay on it a little but it's too uncomfortable for him. It will take several months before he will know how much better he feels, but we're hopeful. His was uncomfortable before this, but really the real reason we had it removed is because it made him EXTREMELY exhausted. Like he would have to take a nap everyday. I bought him a pregnancy pillow, and it has helped him sleep. I also have one of those massage guns to massage his hips because they get sore being in the same position. The pain was moderate for the first few days (honestly, the sore throat from surgery seemed to be his biggest complaint), but it is hard to get comfortable so he would take prescription pain meds at night to help him sleep. The good news is the "care" is very minimal. No need to remove packing or apply ointments etc...Let me know if you have any other questions. Happy to help! I am also thinking about doing a little Amazon store for it with all of the things we used to get him through that!
Yesssss put ur tree up this year ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Soundin' like a crazy journey. Hoping you're getting a chance to come up for air every so often, you're a freaking fighter. Trick for that sleep issue (because I have it too) tart cherry juice and chamomile tea before you go to bed. It's been a knockout. Also, Benji LOL is that name based off of that movie by any chance?
So, I have done a LOT of sleep research (even tried some hacks here on my channel that I like) but I have never tried cherry juice!!!!! And yes, I loved that movie growing up!
It's wild how well it works! It's supposed to increase melatonin and tryptophan levels and all you need is a cup. Hopefully it helps!
And I love that, it's the best name for a dog next to Lassie.
@@TreyMcDonaldAnimator I need to try this hack. Thank you for sharing!!!!
I’ve done 2 ivf retrievals and did find a lump after the 2nd. Had a biopsy and all came back normal. Honestly, the mammogram hurt more than the biopsy. If health concerns weren’t there, I would do another retrieval but just don’t think I want to put my body through it. We were so lucky to have our Son after 3 losses and we are about to try transferring our last embryo however, this one came back inconclusive on the pgt so we’re not super hopeful.
Did you do testing on your embryos? If you did, I feel like 4 is a solid number to move forward with.
We did do testing and they're all pretty good in terms of grading, and I kind of agree. Four feels like a good number but I feel like it Matt's new employer offers it for free I might not be able to pass it up. I certainly do not want to go through it all again, though, that is for SURE
We lovvvvve to seeee it
I LOVE TO SEE THIS! Thank you!
If Matt hasn’t had the septoplasty yet, there are some tips, maybe. Have a place to sleep sitting up the first @2 nights. Breathing through your mouth only 24/7 for days is a pain. Lozenges and lots of hydration help. I’ve had several surgeries and this was my hardest recovery. Worth it though.
This was a very personal video and you did great. You somehow make everything relatable. Best to you.
Thank you for this! I didn't realize he could have lozenges but I am going to give him some today!!!!! Thank you so much!!! How long until you started to feel better? I am hearing about 4 days?
It was about four days or so. I took off two weeks from work. I don’t know if anyone told me that I could have lozenges, but I went through them quickly. The parched mouth was unbelievable.
@@lizann_atlcity I heard a LOT about the dry mouth (I even bought a humidifier for him) but what's so crazy is that he's been unable to breathe properly through his nose for so long he's just used to breathing through his mouth all the time. So for him, it's normal!!! He told me today that even with it being completely packed, he's totally fine. I think his whole world is about to be changed
I used to get sinus infections about four times a year. I didn’t believe that would ever change. I have only had one sinus infection since the surgery, which was almost 9 years ago. I’m now just a normal nose person. Honestly though, if I had to do it over, I don’t know if I would.
We love to see it❤

What you do think about being on Taylor’s documentary on Netflix??? 😂
Ugh, she hated Clevver but that clip for sure was out of context and put into a montage of clips that were pretty cruel. I have always loved her and to say she dated a bunch of hot guys...I think is pretty fair game
I don’t really think someone that wants to be a surrogate needs a support system. I didn’t. I was strong, not mentally weak when I was pregnant and had no one close to me. Remember she is doing to help another family and for the family. Not for herself.
Appreciate this input!!! My concern is if she has to go on bed rest (we always think worst case because Matt is an attorney) I would want to know she had someone who could help her. When I was pregnant I was so sick, and could barely get out of bed. So, I can only imagine if she is in that position or worse that it would be very hard on her. It’s not so much the emotional component, although that for sure is in the “pro” column!
Never had a breast biopsy but I have had my thyroid biopsied. Didn't feel a think unless the mammogram aka the breast pancake that hurts like a mother f*cker if you have big fibrous boob..lol 😂
I have heard scary things about that machine!!!! Luckily, this one would be an ultrasound biopsy
Matt is Southern and he's never heard of "Speak of the Devil and he shall appear"? Ooh, hunny. You need to re-educate him on all the sayings!
To his defense he is Texas "southern" and more specifically "Dallas, TX southern" so I think it's a little bit different!!! lol
Serious here … my son who is 10 really wants to go to Joshua tree. Airbnb???
Cottage Cheese, high protein yogurt...I was only down for about 4 days with my deviated septum.
were you phlegmy because of all of the dairy?
@@ErinRobinson No. I have no dairy issues, but I also add PB, beans, eggs, etc., to my diet.

TYSM!! I like making them!!!! Would you prefer to watch this as a vlog on another channel?
Erin, I so appreciate your candidness. My heart is with you and your family since grief is a nonstop roller coaster. Sometimes it feels like you are coasting and finally have a grip on things and then you plunge into the depths of it just to pull yourself up again. You, my dear, are so emotionally strong to not only share your personal stories, but to also understand others have their own too. We all would be better off if everyone else in the world also had this outlook. As for your hair loss, your autoimmune illnesses are playing a huge role in that along with the stress. Also, every single time you had COVID you upped the hair loss. I have autoimmune diseases too and my hair loss was so, so then and after having COVID just once my hair loss has remained absolutely horrifying. I lose clumps of hair daily. My hair was always fine, yet thick, but it is so thin now. I have tried so many vitamins and supplements, but I do not absorb them well. I have found certain hair masks helpful. I really like making a coffee grounds one with coconut oil. I also use a charcoal one from Maui Moisture, but it was discontinued and I only sporadically find it in Ollie's stores now. I also make my own rice water to spray my hair and sit with it so my ends, especially, heal. Also, to maybe help Matt out; dry mouth spray! I imagine he is breathing through his mouth only right now.
Loved this video. I always appreciate your candid approach to sharing the good and that bad. I personally would love to see some vlogs here and there.

Losing people around the holidays is so traumatizing. I lost my mama a few days before Christmas many years ago, and Christmas was always my favorite. Since then, I've had a pretty complicated relationship with the holiday. I've accepted that I'm not the same person I was before, and there are new ways I can observe the holidays. I've had to adjust quite a bit and always have an exit strategy. It's never going to be completely joyful, but that's allowed me to find new ways to love it and find meaning in other things.
I feel this so much. I am trying to figure out my new Christmas "normal" and I am taking it year by year now. Hoping to come up with new traditions and things that feel almost unrelated so I can moderate the hurt
@@ErinRobinson I’ve found the best thing is really indulging in the spirit of the season. Getting away from the stuff and more towards the meaning and magic. I love volunteering. I cook, but differently than I used to. I have blue lights instead of the gaudy stuff I used to love. I even got a tree that’s very austere and just lights-which is my favorite. It seems to fully encompass my feelings while still being beautiful. I really try to only engage with people I love and I listen to a lot of the Charlie Brown soundtrack bc it’s sorta moody and sad and lets me get my grief out.
You know we love to see it!
Love to see you any day!
Hoping Matt recovered well! Love your Q&As!
