Swansboro is my favorite place to kayak fish. Pogie's will let you reserve a kayak ahead of time so you can ensure you have a fishing kayak to use. A few minutes from the bridge is Cedar Point State Park and is a great place to launch and fish with a kayak. It's a small ramp in a shallow cove of the river that most boats can't get in and out of so it's an easy launch with plenty of parking.
The tide can rip at the bridges. Especially if you fish toward the middle. The tide at the marsh is not bad. Like all kayak trips, check the wind report before you launch.
my backyard ! and i too have to spend way 2 much time looking for mud crabs. must be the white oak dumping into icw. but Huggins island has a lot of feeder creeks and flats the boaters cant fly by when you kayak fishing ! nice vid
Great vid! Got my fever up to get out next week. Tight lines!
Thanks. Good luck

I caught my largest flounder very early, as I was peddling out from that ramp….tossing a jig as I headed over to the marsh grass towards the bridge.
Is the water calm ? I have a small plastic boat id like to saltwater fish but don’t want to get into big waves
Plastic? I think you might want to be more concerned about the oysters. They are like razors and are everywhere.
@@EverythingFishingJT it’s the same material as a kayak . It’s like a pond prowler looking to do some salt water fishing

I bought a house in Maysville Nc, so I'll be applying all your video's for Swansboro Nc. Thanks again Brother
