Buffalo is so full of itself; they think they can just sign WR's off the street and Allen will transform them somehow. Buffalo has one WR that can beat coverage. He wasn't on the field yesterday. Beane had a chance to pick the fastest WR in years but let KC get him and they get a guy who can't get open. Buffalo has a QB with one of if not the strongest arm in the league, so you have a chance to pair that with a player that may be faster than Hill and you pass. This year Buffalo has 2 coordinators' who are in their first year and it shows. Texans played one high and crowded the middle of the field, so Allen had to look to the boundaries but none of the WR's can separate. That's why he couldn't complete a pass, this loss as well as last week is on McDermott and Beane.
Buffalo had a chance to trade up and get BTJ when the Vikings pick actually looked like a high value 2nd round pick. But who knows, we draft a 1st round TE and high 2nd round WR who hardly get targeted more than Hollins??? We wouldn’t even use the talent if we had it
I agree and disagree i think we should have went and got btj he was actually my favorite player for reciever coming out i thought he had the most nfl ready skill sets if we where to draft coleman i also wanted them to get mconkey he plays for the chargers and looks great but i dont think the player that the chiefs drafted will ever work out to be a hill yes hes fast but thats it he has pat mahomes and can barely get the ball and actually coleman has a faster top speed the guy from kc has the fastest 40 time ever hes not the fastest ever and he weighs 160lbs hill is 210 so thats a huge difference
The fact they didn’t double dip at receiver in draft is despicable. The bills are done. This will be more of the same with taking afc east and only to lose in playoffs. We will never beat the ravens or the chiefs. We just don’t have the receivers to win

Biggest issue is Brady is being figured out with no solutions. So add wrs , but Brady is looking very average and the d is terrible with that safety tandem. Where is Edward’s? Hamlin is not a starter and bishop is ckaeely not ready. This helped lose the game , but the real culprit once again, is teribke end game choices by McDermott.

I’m disappointed and frankly tired of the product the Bills are putting out on the field. Can we please, for the love of God, do something to improve this team!
What happened? Allen clearly suffered a concussion in the game. The medical staff and the NFL failed him. He was shown being offered smelling salts on the sidelines before he was brought back into the game. Player safety and concussion protocol is a joke.

This team on this date in Houston was not capable of winning the game in regulation time!!! Their only hope was to get into overtime and pray for a miracle. The defense showed up, but Brady and company were absolutely awful and inept. It would have been better to have Allen who suffered a concussion stay on the sidelines while allowing Cook to win the game!!! How can you not see that??????????????
This outcome is worse than the 13 second game against Kansas City!!!
But seriously, what did Brandon Beane expect to happen? Unless he is completely incompetent at his job, the Bills did not add any skilled player even after releasing players who already knew the system.
As for the coaching staff, they cemented the new tag, “dumb” coaches. At this point, I think it would be a matter of when not if.

I know we’re not that type of offense but can we get some run plays with Gilliam involved as lead blocker? Or put him in pass protection cause no one on the offense is picking up the pressure well
Speaking of wr, beane always says if those guys are available we would draft them. He also said we don’t suck bad enough to get one. That’s bs. Metcalf, brown, worthy and others. Not going to fret about Jefferson as I understand the move at the time. He just doesn’t value the position or doesn’t know how to evaluate it.
I don't feel the receivers are necessarily the problem. Coleman is a rookie. He had a couple great plays. I don't understand why Knox and Kincaid aren't targeted even more than they are. What about using one as an RB on occasion? Cook can catch from the backfield too. Josh lacked confidence early and got better as the game went on. But IMO the amazing comeback was squandered by McDermott choking at the end. He wanted a KC-style romp down the field to win it but the Bills offense didn't have that juju yesterday, so you HAVE to run at least a bit so that Houston burns TOs. Frustrating to watch.
The Bills salary cap issue is the actual problem. The Bills have an incredible $60 Million dead cap hit. The ENTIRE hit for all five active receivers is ONLY $11 Million while the hit for Diggs this year is $30 Million! What did people expect? 75% of the receiver spend is on another team. How is this problem not obvious to everyone? The Bills are very lucky to not be 0-5! Relax and enjoy the ride. McDermott needs to be able to take a little advice in his ear at the end of games. That is what the headset is for. Problem solved.
The end of the game was interesting.
The Bills complete 0 completions in the 4th quarter and had 1 first down. Where are the TE’s? Why do opponents always have running backs wide open and can’t we do the game thing?
I have no issue with the long balls, they should have been more prevalent throughout the game, not at the end of the game like that.
Now are we going to see follow through by the BUF Media against this coaching staff.
No wideouts. No depth on offense. By the end of the year the depth on D will be tested as well. Great pass rush 2nd half, but where was that the previous 6 quarters? Great punt game - that was the only "A" grade in this game.
It wasn't that it was a bad throw to Samuels. It was that once again Dawkins got his shit pushed in and got dumped into Josh's lap... O and McDermott needs to go. It's year 8, should've learned how the clock works in that time.
Why is Samuel not running routes down field, he is the fastest receiver on the field, why is everything at the LOS, where is the screen game at all...Are we the only team that does not throw screens?

Josh Allen is not the savior for the Buffalo Bills he’s too emotional meaning he throws risky passes because he’s trying to hard . He’s over throwing receivers and he’s not accurate. Buffalo will not get to a Super Bowl in the next 5-10 years . We draft Keon Colman over Xavier Worthy that was a joke . Keon is getting hit in back of the head with balls . Buffalo Bills look like the little giants playing with no #1 receivers

Ive been done with McDermott as HC for a few years now. Joe Brady Aint it at OC, and neither is this Wide Receiver Core, minus Shakir. It’s far below average. Still Wasting Josh’s career. We’re not guna win Anything besides the afc east, for now, maybe. Go Hire Ben Johnson from the Lions to be the next Bills HC.

This team drafts defensive players well and coaches them up well but cannot draft offensive players unfortunately. I think we're better off using our draft capital to get proven talent on that side of the ball. I mean we picked Shavers instead of Puka! I don't know how we're scouting. I say pay the price and get a guy who can create separation and catch passes from our QB. We need a WR1 and Cole and Shakir 2 and 3 at the position will be a game changer.

Outplayed most of the game. Outcoached ALL of the game. The Bills are not that good. These last 2 games are the real Bills.
Yes, the guys that are out will get healthy but the haphazard way they are playing (especially Josh) I fear they're going to sustain an even bigger injury to key players. McDermott better do some serious soul searching instead of sitting up there at the podium after bone head loss after bone head loss and just say it's my fault. They all sound so scripted every time they talk!

One of the worst Bills' game in Allen's career. Bills need a WR1 and a pass rush. This ducked. Bad coaching only equalled by Allen's poor play and the disappearance of receivers. We need a better receiving corps.

Hopefully this puts to bed any "Josh Allen is the leagues MVP" That dude will NEVER win anything substantial. He's a roller coaster type of QB. Where he'll have some amazing performances for 2 weeks, then the next 3 stink, then 1 great one, then the next one stink. He's up and down and that's all he'll ever be.

I guess it was bound to happen with the lack of top receivers, but I have no idea why Kincaid isn't a bigger part of this offense. I LOVE Josh Allen, and actually feel sorry for him at this point. The offense is very vanilla at times, the offensive line can't figure out if they are elite or crappy from week to week (but I'm being sarcastic as it's obvious defensive coordinators are figuring out how to make the Bills' lives miserable on offense - just throw everything, including the kitchen sink, at Allen in the pass rush), and for whatever reason, two or three years in a row now a third or half of the defensive starters get injured either in training camp, practice or games, resulting in them of COURSE, being out six to ten weeks - and at this point we are starting TWO safeties who really shouldn't even be in the NFL - AT ALL, so here we are. Lastly, it's time we finally addressed Sean McDermott's abysmal, HORRIBLE in game clock and play management. It's bitten us on the ass several times the past few years, most notably in playoff games, and it needs to be addressed. One final footnote: Beane needs to be held accountable for not getting something done as far as getting a receiver who can at least get SOME separation. I predicted 8 or 9 wins before game one but they, once again, had me sucked in and excited before LAST week, so I guess my original prediction of 8 wins is basically on target. I feel VERY sorry for Josh Allen and the fans though; they deserve better.
