Why is everyone keeping secrets from their boy or girlfriend. Fikani, Esti, Connie, and the list go on
Stupid stuck in a rut storylines.
Keeping secrets is a polite way of saying it. They are all actually straight out lying to each other. Fikani's lies seem to go against the character he is playing. It doesn't make sense. I hope it doesn't break up him and Alexa when it comes out, because of course it will come out. I think they are such a lovely couple.
Fikani is becoming a seasoned liar, he's even involving people in his web of lies.

Erin Tyers - 7de Laan has of late developed a psychological dimension which is why I said it has destroyed and distorted the moral values of most, if not all, the characters in the soapie. You see, 7de Laan is all about power, it's uses and abuses. Every character is affected either in a positive or negative way by power - strong characters manipulate weaker ones (Connie/Ben, Bonita/Justin, Dewet/Marvin), others physically dominate the not-so-
strong (Andre/Rikus), others pretend to be invincible to pain over the more trusting ( Fikani/Alexa), others are indifferent to the feelings of their more
naive partners (Esti/Rikus), some seek to emulate and surpass more mature role-models (Gabby and Khetiwe vs the Big 4) and not least, some seek to seduce others (Mariaan/Ben, Willem/Lana). Bold and Beautiful, for example, has all these ingredients of course but it is structured in the corporate/materialistic/competitive world of the Forrester, Spencer and Spectra families. 7de Laan is far more subtle and thus far more psychological in content as the quest for power takes place on all levels where B&B does not - the socio-economic, physical and emotional lives of everyday people. Thus a delicious mix and far deeper than one would think.
