Not a pop fan, but I started listening to PPOP this year because I appreciate the talent of groups like SB19 and Bini, pero yung discovery ko ng fan wars yung nakaka turn-off para sa akin (and apparently it happens a lot with international groups as well). I don't understand bakit nag gogrupo at nag aaway ang mga "fandoms". Parang mga gang lang haha nakaka discourage tuloy umattend ng events to avoid getting associated and getting involved sa conflicts.
SB19 came at a time when K-pop was topping music charts and people were crazy about K-pop. SB19, however, braved against the tide to make their own mark by creating their own music coming from the Filipino heart and soul to be introduced into and to penetrate the Western and K-pop dominated industry. It was a big dream and challenge, for which they received a lot of harsh criticisms, but with sheer determination, world-class talent and love for their craft, they overcame and conquered. It's only right to credit SB19 for breaking down the barriers, for opening the door and paving the way for P-pop's rise. Hats off to Brett Jackson for acknowledging that fact and for giving SB19 the honor they deserve to be called P-pop kings.

Nothing wrong about being an ‘entertainer’. Frank Sinatra, The Supremes, Celine Dion and Whitney Houston were great entertainers who didn’t write their own songs. But there’s something so profound, even magical about a music artist who’s also a great entertainer. Like it or not Ken/Felip you are that. 😊

What separates an actual artist from other forms of entertainer is the song they put out is customized to their own personalities, characters, etc.

When you "don't know what else to say" but continues to spit facts, ignite challenge, and empower to inspire, then you know you've got the Pinuno right there! This is why I wouldn't skip or miss a single interview of SB19/its individual members. There is always something to learn from, get inspired from. And to add to your point, I never felt the need to explain why Pablo is my bias/fave among the Mahalima, because they know who wouldn't. Actually, Ken has deeper intentions. He wants to promote Bisayan language, as it is a beautiful language/dialect. Player 2 can speak Bisaya hence he supported them, this is his way of leading them and maybe some more other artists. To Ken, as a Bisaya myself, we are proud of you (I know there were some songs in Bisaya that were hits before) but suddenly stopped (or I just didn't aware of it). If this we call a revival, but again Felip has the huge responsibility now to push this on another level! Thank you Ken!

It's not because they support Filipino first but because SB19 and Bini produce great songs. Remember that consumers want something that is worth listening to invest their time with. This is how you make products. "Support local products" is not a marketing scheme and companies should run astray from it. It sounds desperate but can't deliver any effective service.

I’ve said this before, I’m so happy and fortunate that SB19 opened my eyes to PPOP. Kasi it wasn’t really my thing back then but now, I have a renewed appreciation for OPM because of SB19. Kaya naman pala ng mga Pilipino to write, produce, creatively direct, high quality songs and music videos that would take the world by storm. Before, parang suntok sa buwan for international artists to collaborate or sing/dance our music. The real truth is Sb19 paved the way for PPOP group. Look at those international achievement they have. It says it all. When it comes to versatility, Sb19 is.
Opening doors is not the same as paving the way. They opened the door for Ppop, yes but BINI paved the way for other groups, meaning BINI made other Ppop groups visible and well-known. If SB19 really paved the way edi sana noon pa sumikat BINI and other groups. Pero ever since BINI made it (accrdng to SB19 Josh), Ppop changed and had a revolution. Not discrediting SB19 and their hard work na makilala ang Ppop kasi we all knew and seen kung paano sila lumaban and nag grow. Kudos talaga sa kanila. Not a pop fan, but I started listening to PPOP this year because I appreciate the talent of groups like SB19 and Bini, pero yung discovery ko ng fan wars yung nakaka turn-off para sa akin (and apparently it happens a lot with international groups as well). I don't understand bakit nag gogrupo at nag aaway ang mga "fandoms". Parang mga gang lang haha nakaka discourage tuloy umattend ng events to avoid getting associated and getting involved sa conflicts.

SB19 came at a time when K-pop was topping music charts and people were crazy about K-pop. SB19, however, braved against the tide to make their own mark by creating their own music coming from the Filipino heart and soul to be introduced into and to penetrate the Western and K-pop dominated industry. It was a big dream and challenge, for which they received a lot of harsh criticisms, but with sheer determination, world-class talent and love for their craft, they overcame and conquered. It's only right to credit SB19 for breaking down the barriers, for opening the door and paving the way for P-pop's rise. Hats off to Brett Jackson for acknowledging that fact and for giving SB19 the honor they deserve to be called P-pop kings.

Ang problem kasi sa ibang fans, makakita lang ng hateful comments sa idol nila ay pangbash agad sa kabilang group ang igaganti imbes ang ibash lang ay yung toxic na nagcomment. 🤣

I’ve said this before, I’m so happy and fortunate that SB19 opened my eyes to PPOP. Kasi it wasn’t really my thing back then but now, I have a renewed appreciation for OPM because of SB19. Kaya naman pala ng mga Pilipino to write, produce, creatively direct, high quality songs and music videos that would take the world by storm. Before, parang suntok sa buwan for international artists to collaborate or sing/dance our music. Pero grabe how gento is still at its peak of virality in china and japan almost 2yrs after its release date. Posible naman pala and I hope more groups will be given the chance to be heard. Let’s continue to support PPOP and its movement. Ang layo na natin at mas malayo pa ang mararating natin. 💙

SB 19 set the standards so high for other Ppop to follow. Raw vocals no lip sync, pure talent, songwriting skills, composing, producing and arranging their own songs. That's the truth. Kahit mag bash pa kayo. Deadma. Ganun talaga pag narrow-minded d matanggap katotohanan.

To those who are still close-minded after watching this and still having force hate on these groups, baka nilalagnat na sila, pagpray ko na lang kayo. Sobrang genuine ng intention ng Bini and SB19 from the start to promote no fan wars
The real truth is Sb19 paved the way for PPOP group. Look at those international achievement they have. It says it all. When it comes to versatility, Sb19 is.
Opening doors is not the same as paving the way. They opened the door for Ppop, yes but BINI paved the way for other groups, meaning BINI made other Ppop groups visible and well-known. If SB19 really paved the way edi sana noon pa sumikat BINI and other groups. Pero ever since BINI made it (accrdng to SB19 Josh), Ppop changed and had a revolution. Not discrediting SB19 and their hard work na makilala ang Ppop kasi we all knew and seen kung paano sila lumaban and nag grow. Kudos talaga sa kanila. For me, ung sinabi ni Josh na nakikita ng booming na din ung Bini, un yung affirmation from their part as PPop pioneer, na nagiging successful din ung pag pave ng way nila, pag open ng doors. I admire this line so much from Josh. They are really selfless. The fact that they can just celebrate themselves as sb19 and just be happy about it, pero they also celebrate other’s success. double the happiness kasi may sumunod after them na rising din ang career. Kumbaga, nabuksan na nila ang pinto, then may nakapasok na ding iba sa mundo ng world domination with Ppop. So sana wala ng away between ‘some’ fandoms, SB19 started it, now dalawa ng nagpapave ng way ang two groups na ito. And so good thing, acknowledged din ng side ng Bini na ung mga kuya nila ang nagsimula. And feels great din na ang sb19 acknowledging the rise din ng bini. No one is selfish here. They share the limelight and purpose, they motivate each other, they inspire other groups pa. 🙌🏼 they are winning together! And helping other groups to win, too.
