The Eryanping Trail is an 800-meter-long mountaineering trail with many emerald green bamboos along the way. There is a viewing platform at the entrance of the trail where visitors can look at the distant mountains and rivers.
Alishan is well known for its sunrises, sunset, sea of clouds in the area between Alishan and Yüshan, railway station, and sacred trees. The name Ali Shan seems to be taken from the word "Alit", which in several Taiwanese indigenous languages means "ancestor mountain".

Hi, when you took the bus from xiding bus stop to alishan, were you allowed to store your luggage in the bottom of the bus?

Hello! The bus is just a local bus without luggage storage (unless you take the 台湾好行 and you need to plan your route well following the bus timetable. But you can't hike if your luggage is with you) So we actually stored our big luggage at the ChiaYi hotel we stayed the night before and only brought 2D1N clothing in a bag pack with us so that we don't need to be tied down by the buses and hiking.
