You Bulgarians have some crazy rhytmical approaches and insane melodies in your songs! I heard a song by someone named Milko (I've been told he's Bulgarian, sorry if I'm mistaken) and I fell in instantly in love with the lead melodies and solos (those videos are fun too!! :D). I've been searching for some "informative" clips about that type of playing, so that I could understand the theory behind it better and then hopefully adapt some of that into my own soloing and playing alltogether.
Got to wonder.....with a name like Tom Pixton, How did you get interested in Bulgarian music? I am a Canadian born Macedonian that also enjoys playing Balkan accordion. Is there an ethnic connection to the music? Your very good!
So nice!!
bravo!!
Fantastic musicianship! I want to dance!
Great. That's from Boris Karlov, Kyustendilska rachenitsa, I guess. My father had a vinyl record of Karlov and I was in love with this melody.
