I had an error with the usb burning tool, can i use the burn card maker method instead?
@@urakis No, the firmware is encrypted and Using SD CARD will brick your box.
Use only Burning Tool and make sure you're using the right version.
@@NayamAmarshe I used right version and followed the instructions from the video, after loading the firmware and pressing start on the Usb Burn Tool, i plugged in my box to the pc and there was a read error, so i stopped the usb burn tool while the box is still connected, i tried pressing the start button immediately after and it started loading the firmware up to 3%, then it gave me another error, so i stopped and started it again, it resumed at 7% then it continued to finish the upload. I am testing it now and so far everything is working ok, except for LiveNetTV app. I will update you if i run into other issues. Thank you so much for this firmware and more power to you and your team.

Yes, Nayam said that in the net version he would fix that Bluetooth issue. If you want to return to stock you can in the mean time.

I flashed my box successfully but evertime I re-start the language goes to korean I then put the language back to English but again it reverts back to Korean on re-start, did anyone come across this.

@@tvboxstop v81 so I picked the 8.1 from it is really strange it initially boots up and shows English characters and then just changes after about 5 to 10 seconds and changes to Korean I can get back to English by adding language but it is a but frustrating
I have been on some forums and someone had an issue like this a few years ago on another box and fixed it by turning off CEC in settings under hdmi so I will try this tonight

Why can’t they just upgrade the boxes and then sell them too subscribers it takes the hassle out of first time users trying to upgrade them a lot of users are not tech savvy
It'll take a lot of money to buy boxes and sell them with our firmware, we're just college guys so we can't be involved in these things all the time😅
@@NayamAmarshe is 100% right. It would take a lot of work to deal with import / export issues. Additionally, to make it a worthwhile business the cost of the upgrade would likely exceed the cost of the box. You're better off to find a local techie who's interested and capable of doing it. If it's a one-off you might be able to barter an exchange of favors or simply buy them a nice meal.

Awful implementation of youtube! I had before with stock rom that same youtube version and after checking the normal playstore version which runs overal much better, i stick to that.
Now with that custom rom, that bad youtube version, gets even worser... You cant scroll with airmouse by hold left mouse trigger and move! It needs to navigate with up,down,left,right. Its like 1995...
And while i flashing, it stops at 95% with some uboot fail message.... Now it starts like crap and many functions causes the box go back to the homescreen...
Rly bad overall experience. I wish i had the stock firmware back but if i try to flash back, it stops at 7% with disk failed or something....
Now i can throw my box in a trashcan...! Dont install this customfirmware! Its absolutely not working good! Rly bad work...

Take this box out back, and light it on fire. The locked OEM firmware is horrid, and this "pretend root" broken TV style rom with weak wifi is even worse. Great hardware and cool concept, horrible execution by the manufacturer. Get an Nvidia shield, I read a new revision is coming out soon.

Is there any benefit of installing this atvx ROM? My stock ROM on A95x Max is buggy like I have to restart to make it work and sometimes it hangs. Is there any other way to install atvx ROM without male to male USB cable? 2.0 USB also works?
The only sure way to successfully install a custom ROM is using the mill the meal USB. The SD card method will not work.
Does this rom allow recording like the previous stock rom?
I can not find the record software from the app store. Still working on the one not the same as original. looks like a paid app.

The only bug I have found so far is that the droid settings is inaccessible on the v81. v10 everything works flawless so far. Great work TV Box Stop and Nayam Amarshe. btw it seems so far that all the 4/64 boxes are v81 and the 2/32 are v10. I flashed my 2/32 a95x max with 0 issues and everything worked perfectly. I then decided I would test out the 4/64 or v81 and to my surprise everything seemed to work except when I went to click on Droid settings (you have to go into these settings to turn off auto select best resolution which I have to do for my projector to pick up the video signal) Upon doing this however, the box would just freeze momentarily before kicking me back to the leanback launcher. Please let me know if this is indeed a bug or if i happen to have a faulty box. Thanks and great work :-)

Also if i can make a request please that I know will help many others that use their box with a projector. I would love to have auto select best resolution turned off by default as it would prevent me having to plug the box into a normal TV and switching the setting to make it so the projector can see the box.

Yes there are different boards for the same model that can cause compatibility issues with the firmware. Unfortunately the developer bailed on further development so that's dead. Sorry about that.
I know this is an old video but i finally decided to try it, but my PC is not recognizing the A95x after I followed all the steps any advice?
Don't bother, there are no longer updates for this firmware and there are bugs. Some even reported not being able to revert to stock firmware.
ok got the 2.0 usb cable and worked fine...was trying with 3.0 cable and no go...updated no errors but i have no wifi menu it in settings but loads and kicks me out...also no bluethooth go to turn it on and nothing...i do have the latest update from link ...
The Wi-Fi is an issue and that's a problem because the developer quit the project. So there are no further updates.

Did you do as I said in the video to the letter. The box will not stay connected unless it gets pinged by the key file. Start the process then plug in the box. like in the video. No reset button involved.

I just got my box, and have had issues right away with streaming movies and tv shows off Cyberflix and other apps. The videos will stop and cut off. Then I have to click the link again and restart video. Question...will doing this eliminate this issue?

OK hi David I installed Cyberflix on the atvXperience ROM the movie is still playing no cutoffs. So there are many considerations and factors to take into consideration before you change the rom. Your warranty is one. Restart your modem and do a speed test make sure you are getting your maximum speed. The quality of video you selected may be too high to stream. Right now I am streaming Captain Marvel in 1080p and I have some buffering on my 60MB Internet package. There is no guarantee that the ROM will solve your problem.
Update the movie dropped off once, it looks like it's a Cyberflix issue and not the box

The resolution displayed is smaller. The 1080p example is something smaller than the original. And the resolution drops again at 240p. It's very disturbing to lower this resolution to movies and including Kodi.

i have tried this about 4 times now everything goes as planed everything is right but when i go to plug the usb in laptop then androind box nothing happens ...buring tool is the same as yours when loaded with firmware all setting match !
Try using a USB 2.0 port. Also click start on the board to before plugging the box into your laptop. I discovered that these boxes don't respond well in OTG mode when connected to a USB 3.0 port. It often fails. Also this box needs to be plugged in after start the burning tool process. Or else it will detect and drop off before app can catch it.

what worked for me when I did not have a USB 2.0 port was using a Type C hub connected to the PC and box connected to the hub, and the box used to detect and flash successfully.
I found way to work bluetooth. ... get (bluetooth transmitter ) connect to Tv. Gamepad with wired. (Panda Gamepad pro)app. All work done

I need help. I tried 3 different computers , and I can't get any of them to acknowledge that my Android box has even been plugged. I fathered the steps to aand I even went back and redone all the steps just to make sure. Is there something I'm doing wrong I don't understand. Does Android box need to be plugged into the wall? Hi Kreig, there is no way it is going to work as the developer abandoned the project and did not get the time to fix bugs in the firmware. The Bluetooth issue was one of them, unfortunately.

No it will not work, it is only for this model. Don't attempt it will brick your box
Interesting... I followed all the steps in order as in the video.
First of course i confirmed that i need the v81. Unfortunately when the box is connected i can hear the windows sounds and basically nothing happens. Front display at the box shows only passed minutes...
OK if you are using a high-end PC or laptop, try using a USB 2.0 port instead of a USB 3.0 port. Sometimes I doit that detection issue. I also discovered that If I connected the box through a type C hub it detects fine and the flashing went through successfully. Try a different PC, laptop, or mini PC like I did if not getting through.

Hi if you are not even getting a startup screen, and you did nothing out of the ordinary then you are looking at some sort of hardware failure. If you install custom rom and then it happened then try reverting to the stock ROM. If it doesn't start then something is definitely wrong with the hardware.

First, Thanks for this fabulous job. Question: I'm not able to connect bluetooth mouse & keyboard previously connected after the upgrade. In Settings/Connected devices, Bluetooth switch is off and i'm not able to turn it on. Any idea what could be wrong ?
After investigation, i've found that some box (as the one i have) use Bluetooth Mediatech chip. In this case you won't be able to use bluetooth with this new ugrade ;-(

No you don't, but you do have to press the start button on the USB burning app before plugging in the cable.

I know you like the custom ROM but I also made a pinned comment to the top of the comments are about the developer pulling out of any further updates for this box. So you may want to revert back to the stock rom if needed.
Has the developer released v3 yet for the s905x2 yet? I'm specifically asking for the T95Q box. I just saw ya post on the atvxperience forum about it.

Announcement! Due to technical difficulties, the developer wishes to report that the second release of the atvXperience ROM has been canceled. Due to heavy encryption in the source code, and he is unable to compile an updated ROM. Sorry for the bad news but there will be no further updates for the A95X Max unless another developer takes up the challenge.
