Holds one tealight perfectly, perfect stocking filler. What a super box, long live origami! Practiced with copy paper first & was glad I did!! I found with cardstock I couldn't get the top flap to tuck in on the smallest size (but could on 8" cardstock) but one flap still sat nicely over the other. It really does have the wow factor when it's opened. Thank you so much Julie!
Your demo methods and descriptions make this so much easier than some. And I love your diagrams. Helps those of us not so adept. Wish I had found you when I first started.
Do you make all of the wonderful paper samplers! I have never seen them anywhere except with your videos. I think they are the greatest idea ever!!! Shirley from Riverton Utah.
Love this little box just made this today but oit of cardstock as thats all i have and it worked had to work a little to slide it in to close but oh my to darn cute and not cutting nothing and self closing is always good for my son school always send a treat around Christmas. Thanks so much, made another self close box for my dads wedding that was so cute too.
I had trouble as my paper was way to thick, lol. But succeed with lighter weight paper..... Just a thought, but for your tutorial demos only, you could draw your score lines for us to see them better? Loved it, thank you.

Grrrr I can't get this to work in the larger size!!!! When I try to close it the sides are too high for it to fold over and close!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm so sorry you're having difficulties! Which size paper are you starting with - 8x8 or 12x12?
I was using 8x8 but don't worry I gave up lol
I’ll double-check the measurements and let you know!
Linda Parker has this project in a bigger size...that's the name of her channel
Thanks so much x
