God sure has blessed you. That's wonderful. I keep praying and remaining faithful. Hoping he will see fit to bless me and my business. But I'm proud of you seeing hwere you have come from, all the hard work. You deserve it brother.
That's such great work with the designs of the mounts and the build overall. >Make a fan, similar to the ones on alternators with your 'Arc-Droid', and bend the blades to mount behind the drive gear and blow on the motor
I think it’s their gearing, they said they don’t care about top speed and mainly drive off-road but then they did 60mph gearing. 45mph gearing would be a huge difference. Also the Ah doesn’t matter as long as the battery is rated for the current.
Mount the CVT or another CVT that could handle the torque, on the electric motor. I'm sure that can be made to fit up with some ingenuity. That might be awesome. Incredible insane bottom end and also super top end speed! It would make for one FUN bike!
I love this content RedBeard! With electric, gearing is everything and getting a bigger gear in the rear and lower up front is going to wake that motor up. Also it seems like the settings in the controller are maybe a smidge off. With 5k watts you should be screaming past that 60mph point. Maybe the temp protection settings are too low? I would love to see a collaboration with Surronster as that guy has had just about every electric bike there is.
U definitely want a quick cutoff with a conductive vase. All cases come in plastic for a reason. That batt lights up youll lose a leg if your a fool. Pretty work as per usual tho. Need me a cnc water jet
I’d be interested to know the weight difference in gas motor and everything removed vs. the weight of battery, controller and e-motor. Cool build though. I think electric dirt bikes are the best trail machines ever. The torque makes it so fun, and my gearing tops out about 45mph, plenty fast enough for me. I ride a talaria sting r, with a dirt bike wheel set.
Gearing will fix the heat issues. How many battery and phase amps are you pushing? You should max them out once you get a better hearing. Do 250 battery amps and 500 phase.
@@RedBeardsGarage oh interesting. Yeah a qs165 should have way more torque. Looking forward to the next video 😃. Love seeing this electric stuff from a gas guy’s perspective.
Sounds better on the road. Theres 1 on the tube ripong thru traffic like a physco doing 120km per hour. Passing crotch rockets. And its a motor like yours but the small tires kill your speed.
This has nothing to do with the video just curious since you know much more, but is there any aftermarket parts for a Duromax 420cc engine. Like upgrades and billet parts or any parts from another engine that could fit this engine? Thanks, great vid
Hi, Greg what is the bore on the front sprocket? do you know where I can buy a 428 15 tooth 1.000 and 1-1/4 with 1/4 key way? and I think this is the way to go on a mini bike do you think with the right gearing this motor would work in a RZR type of buggy? like the size of buggies you build.
Im sure there is a company out there that will make you a custom sprocket. This motor would not work on a bigger buggy. I think it would have to over work itself to perform. Even with one on each tire I don't think it would work great.
@@RedBeardsGarage ok, thanks Greg what is the bore on these sprocket do you think you will find a place to buy them and start selling stuff like this for us home builders?
you have multiple issues... 1: 5000w sounds like alot .... its 6.7hp.... 2: your controller has alot of settings that you can change im sure "unsure of the exact controller but there are a ton of settings on most of them" 3: you should see what your amp draw is theres going to be amp limits in place and the lower the voltage gets the more amps it will draw for the same amount of power IE if 3300W is the minimum power needed to make that thing even move... thats what it will draw... batteries sag under load so its c rating matters "c rating is the multiplication of current a battery will safely output most industrial batteries are 10C so if thats the case with your battery 10x40=400A max current for 10 seconds so you can adjust your controller accordingly 4: timing is super important for BLDC motors 1degree off of the correct timing can be the difference between 10lb ft of tq or 30 last but not least welcome to the obsession when you get that thing right and see the amount of raw power you have at your disposal your gonna be hooked... i forsee a crown motored go kart in the near future
I did go through the setting but I am new to this so I’m sure I have some stuff incorrect. I know I rode it today and it was way cooler outside and it will raise up with me on it. That is until it gets warm. We will get it tuned out and I’m sure I’ll love it.
Bigger controller would make a world of difference. This is the same motor on a megamoto with a dirt tire at 28,000 watts. Its a wheelie monster and still goes 85 with 4 second 0-60's. Pulls hills like nothing. over 8000 rpm. Sounds like you all are lugging the motor way down and not pushing enough amps. Might get some regen braking going as well to help slow her down! lol ua-cam.com/video/67vAdu3z9J0/v-deo.html

Okay, so if it gets too cold the batteries won't work and if it gets to hot the motor won't work? Yeah, I'll stick with Gasoline. This hippie stuff is too heavy, too expensive and too tempramental.
My first thought was this would be awesome in a scooter for the road. The. I saw the $3000+ price tag and decided gas is just fine. 😊
3 nice bikes for the price of that one.
@@mackelby1 yeah but i think its worth it
@@Baergaming-ts9cx I get it. It is way cool. When they get that geared correctly it will try to pull them off the seat.

Sick Start to a great build! I will reach out and help get this thing shredding proper. 🚀
A belt drive would be cool, super quiet too.
This is a interesting video thanks for your time
No one has built an off-road electric go-kart yet! Im dying to see one of these electro and co motors in something as big as an fl350
They have there’s a couple videos out there just not as popular as the drift electric go karts

Love these content
14000 watt setup with the proper ah batt. Its all about the battery. 14k watt with a 40ah should flip over instantly.

This is awesome would love to see a full collab with your kit and there’s. Would be awesome id buy one! And I’m from Tn
We are going to try and get a kit going.
Let me be one of the first to say it’s going to be a beast

Pretty neat, iv been looking at building something like the 2x2 hybrid bike from baltmotors bulldog, seems like the best set up for what I do.
That would be pretty sick.
man, can you imagine the battery i could strap to my dingo? that would be a ripping monster!!
That is my next adventure lol.
You could make a mount that bolts into the frame and battery holder, that holds the motor back where it needs to be. God bless
Very cool make a kit for the smaller bikes so we can drag race them.

I'd love to see you make a buggy electric, considered converting mine. There 28kw kit would be awesome on a kart or buggy.
👍

It was maxed out in this video. I do agree that gearing is my problem.

A better choice of motor would have been the gear reduction version called Qs138 70h V3 it will work with the noisy cricket controller.
I might try that out next.
Dang... I commented on the electric Amazon bike being scrapped last night, today this is released 😂🤷
Be cool if there was some sort of wheel motor. No chain to worry about. And you could do 2 wheel drive easily.
There is such a thing as it’s called a hub motor. They don’t make great torque but they’ll do top speeds really well.
Like to see a trike build
Reverse trike will balance better in the trails, and they do awesome 'swingarm' builds.
Maybe build a scoop that catches air and directs it towards the motor 🤷

All the gx390 stuff works other than the piston.
I’m ready to buy this kit! How much are you thinking it will be
Hey there Redbeard , I was wondering if you had a link to that LED headlight. I asked last time and I think you forgot to upload it.
H20 next?
Keep going bigger!!! Lol.
prob a 72v motor but you guys running it higher so it gets hot faster
No, with these lithium batteries, they fully charge to 86v. 76v is the nominal voltage… battery would be almost technically dead at 76v
If theres anyway to hib motor the front and back 2 wheel drive they rip. And use much less power and dont make noise like that.
I tought max voltage for a 72v system was 84v ?
But for sure that motor is geared way too tall.
Ohhh nevermind just saw it's a 76v system.
number 1...lol
